NOW THERE ARE TWO PASSAGES ABOUT FAITH THAT I WANT TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT.  ONE IS WHEN JESUS WAS TEACHING THE PEOPLE WHEN, THE BIBLE SAYS, A RULER CAME TO HIM AND SAID IN MATTHEW 9:18-25 "There came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live. And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples. And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise, He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose."

WE CAN SEE FROM THAT PASSAGE THAT JESUS WILL MEET US RIGHT WHERE WE ARE. THE RULER COULD BELIEVE THAT IF JESUS WOULD GO TO HIS DAUGHTER AND LAY HANDS ON HER SHE WOULD COME BACK TO LIFE.  WE KNOW THAT JESUS COULD HAVE JUST SPOKE THE WORDS AND MADE THIS HAPPEN JUST LIKE IN THIS NEXT PASSAGE BUT HE MET THE RULER RIGHT WHERE HIS FAITH WAS AND WENT TO HIS DAUGHTER.

THE SECOND PASSAGE IS ABOUT A CENTURION WHOSE SERVANT WAS SICK.  THIS IS FOUND IN MATTHEW 8:5-6 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented  WHEN THE CENTURION TOLD JESUS ABOUT HIS SERVANT IN VERSE 7, JESUS TOLD HIM HE WILL GO AND HEAL HIM.  LOOK WHAT THE MAN TOLD JESUS IN VERSE 8 "I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed."  IN VERSE 10 IT SAYS "When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel."  VERSE 13 SAYS "And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour."

IN THESE TWO INSTANCES, JESUS MET THE RULER AND THE CENTURION RIGHT WHERE THEY WERE IN THEIR WALK OF FAITH AND HE WILL DO THE SAME FOR YOU AND ME.  WE WERE GIVEN THE MEASURE OF FAITH BUT INCREASE IT BY GETTING INTO GOD'S WORD. ROMANS 10:17 SAYS "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."  GOD LOVES US AND WANTS THAT FELLOWSHIP THAT HE GETS WHEN WE ARE READING HIS WORD.

AGAIN I WILL LEAVE YOU WITH HEBREWS 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  I WANT TO PLEASE HIM, DON'T YOU?  IF YOU DO THEN USE YOUR FAITH TO BELIEVE THAT HE WILL DO WHAT HE SAYS.  HE LOVES YOU AND WANTS YOU WHOLE.  JUST ACCEPT HIS LOVE.
