I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

"HAVING A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS" BY DAVID MCMILLEN
WHEN WE FIRST ACCEPTED JESUS AS OUR SAVIOR, IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR US TO KNOW EVERYTHING THAT FOLLOWING HIM WOULD TAKE. NO ONE, HOWEVER, SHOULD BE FEARFUL OF MAKING A TOTAL COMMITMENT BECAUSE OF SOME IMAGINED PROBLEM THAT MAY NEVER COME TO PASS. IF YOU HAVE ACCEPTED HIM, THEN GOD, ALMIGHTY GOD OUR FATHER, HAS DRAWN YOU TO JESUS. IT WASN'T YOUR IDEA BUT GOD'S. THIS SHOULD MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE SHOUTING BECAUSE THIS SHOWS YOU THAT GOD LOVES YOU VERY MUCH. LOOK WHAT JESUS SAYS IN JOHN 6:44 "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." YOU ARE SECURE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS AND BECAUSE OF JESUS YOU CAN NOW GO DIRECTLY TO GOD WITH YOUR PRAYERS, PRAISE AND WORSHIP. THIS IS THE FELLOWSHIP HE WANTS WITH YOU.
WITH THE ABOVE IN MIND, THERE SHOULD BE A WILLINGNESS TO FORSAKE EVERYTHING TO FOLLOW JESUS. ONCE WE MAKE THAT DECISION, THEN HE BEGINS TO LIVE THROUGH US AND WE FIND A STRENGTH THAT IS NOT OUR OWN, EQUAL TO WHATEVER TEST WE MAY ENCOUNTER. I LOVE THIS VERSE IN GALATIANS AND IT IS SOMETHING TO STAND ON. GALATIANS 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
SO ENJOY YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR. LOOK WHAT ROMANS 8:31 SAYS "If God be for us, who can be against us?" WHEN YOU TRULY RECEIVED JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR YOUR SPIRIT WAS SEALED. THAT IS WHAT IT SAYS IN EPHESIANS 1:13-14 "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory."
