"YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE STRESSED" BY DAVID MCMILLEN
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN STRESSED? I KNOW YOU HAVE, BUT HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT HOW STRESSED JESUS' DISCIPLES MUST HAVE BEEN? THEY WATCH JESUS BEING ARRESTED, BEATEN AND CRUCIFIED. ALL OF THEIR HOPES AND DREAMS WERE ROOTED IN HIM AND THEN HE WAS DEAD AND SEEMINGLY DEFEATED. NOW DO YOU THINK THEY WERE STRESSED?
THE CONFUSION, HURT AND PAIN FROM THAT ALONE WAS PROBABLY UNBEARABLE BUT THEN CAME REMEMBERING ALL THAT HAD HAPPENED. I AM SURE THEY WERE THINKING, "WE HAVE MADE SUCH SACRIFICES, LEAVING OUR FAMILIES AND BUSINESSES AND RISKING IT ALL ON THE BELIEF THAT JESUS WAS THE MESSIAH. MIGHT IT ALL HAVE BEEN IN VAIN?" "HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE THEY COME AND GET US?" YES, I THINK THEY WERE VERY STRESSED. DO YOU THINK THIS COMPARES TO YOUR STRESS? I DON'T THINK SO.
WHY ALL THE STRESS? I THINK IT WAS BECAUSE THAT EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE WITH JESUS SOME THREE YEARS, THEY HADN'T REALLY LISTENED TO HIM. LOOK WHAT HE TOLD THEM THE NIGHT BEFORE HIS CRUCIFIXION. (LUKE 18:31-34 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again. And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.) DON'T YOU THINK THAT THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN AT THE TOMB ON THAT THIRD IF THEY HAD KNOWN THIS. AFTER ALL THIS, HE ALSO TOLD THEM IN JOHN 14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." HE KNEW WHAT THEY WOULD THINK AND HOW THEY WOULD ACT AND HE WAS TRYING TO COMFORT THEM.
WHEN CRISIS COMES, AND IT WILL, DO WHAT JESUS SAYS TO DO. DON'T DWELL ON THE BAD BUT LOOK TOWARD JESUS. HE IS YOUR ANSWER. HE HAS NOT BROUGHT YOU THIS FAR TO DROP YOU NOW. HE CAN TURN ANYTHING BAD INTO SOMETHING GOOD. IT IS BETTER IF WE TALK TO HIM FIRST ABOUT WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO AND ASK HIM WHAT HE WANTS US TO DO. HOWEVER, EVEN IF SOMETIMES WE DON'T, I AM SURE HE WILL STILL TURN THINGS AROUND FOR US IF WE JUST LET HIM. TRUST HIM. HE LOVES US MORE THAN WE CAN EVER IMAGINE AND HE CAN TAKE ALL OUR STRESS AWAY. I WILL PUT THIS HERE AGAIN AND DWELL ON IT AND BELIEVE. "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." THAT IS ALL HE WANTS US TO DO IS TO BELIEVE IN HIM.

Well said David. And faith is everything. Some people when they realize they were deceived for years and then learn the background of what they followed and how God foretold it yet they were blind to its history or biblical prophetic foretelling either by an angel from heaven, or by the lamb himself or by some prophet scripture that is shocking to say the least. And revelations 17 is as clear as water. Now I know you are referring to other matters as well. Apply faith but there are some who really suffer at the hands of evil and that may be good advice but would not be their immediate remedy. It is important. I read about a private investigator investigating the crimes against children by those who say they represent God. He said what parents would send their children to a pagan cult instead of a biblical believing religion/demonstration that they are wicked and deceived. I other words they should take blame as well for sending their children to this pagan cult. So when those parents of those children are traumatized by such wicked evil in court and people cry should we tell them have no human emotions and just have faith. Maybe but even Christ cried when Lazarus died.
We could blame God but if we followed a religion that served other Gods how can we not be responsible? This world is deceived, evil and very wicked. Bless you in the name of the living God David!! May you have a wonderful week end.
