ABIDING IN THE VINE
ARE YOU BEARING FRUIT? IF YOU ARE BORN AGAIN YOU SHOULD BE. JESUS SAYS YOU ARE A BRANCH AND HE IS THE VINE. IF YOU ARE NOT ABIDING, OR CONTINUING PERMANENTLY, WHICH IS WHAT ABIDING MEANS, IN THE VINE, THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN BE FRUITFUL. HERE IS WHAT JESUS SAID IN JOHN 15:4-5 "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." WE LOOK AT THIS AND SAY, THIS IS GREAT, BUT IS IT? IT IS IF WE ARE BEARING FRUIT. WE KNOW THAT JESUS IS ABIDING IN US FROM WHAT HE SAYS ABOVE BUT ARE WE ABIDING IN HIM. I PUT THE DICTIONARY DESCRIPTION "CONTINUING PERMANENTLY" TO PUT A LITTLE MORE POWER TO THE WORD ABIDE.
AS A BRANCH, IF WE ARE NOT CONTINUING PERMANENTLY IN THE VINE, WE ARE "cast forth as a branch, and is withered." HOWEVER, IF WE DO ABIDE IN HIM, THERE ARE REWARDS. JESUS TELL US THIS IN JOHN 15:7 WHERE HE SAYS "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."
WE NEED TO KEEP HIS WORD STRONG IN OUR HEARTS AND KNOW WHAT HE WANTS US TO DO AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WHAT HE HAS PROMISED. IT TELLS US THIS IN PROVERBS 4:20-22 WHERE IT SAYS "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. IF WE KNOW HIS WORD, THEN WE KNOW HIS WILL AND HE WANTS US TO TELL PEOPLE ABOUT HIM AND WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR US. HAVE YOU TOLD ANYONE ABOUT HIM THIS WEEK?

As I wrote before David very true Christ wants souls saved and for people to abide in him. We do not have the right to pay back as God's word says he will do such. We can rebuke with long suffering. Its not easy to uphold the word of God as the world loves its own and many whom are perishing think this is foolishness. Someone I know called God's word stupid and they say they believe in God. They are not in right standing with God. Bless you David!! Great message!!! The renewal of the mind is important. Christ hid nothing BUT the devil has to deceive the people of planet earth to get worshiped.
Revelation 21.8
8 But to the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death .”
