"THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE" BY DAVID MCMILLEN
WHAT IS TRUTH? THE DICTIONARY SAYS "Conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been, or shall be." WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT TRUTH?
WE KNOW THAT IT COMES FROM JESUS.
JOHN 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
WE KNOW THAT IT WILL SET YOU FREE.
JOHN 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
WE KNOW THAT IT IS A SPIRIT.
JOHN 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.
WE KNOW THAT JESUS IS THE TRUTH.
JOHN 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
WE KNOW THAT THE WORD IS TRUTH.
JOHN 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
NOW, LET'S SEE WHAT THE BIBLE SAY TRUTH IS NOT? FOR ONE, THE DEVIL IS NOT TRUTH. JOHN 8:44, WHEN JESUS WAS TALKING WITH THE JEWS WHO WERE QUESTIONING HIM ON WHO HE WAS, HE TOLD THEM THAT "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do . He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." AND IT SEEMS THAT THE OPPOSITE OF TRUTH IS A LIE AND THAT THE DEVIL IS A LIAR, WHICH WE ALL KNOW.
I BELIEVE THE BEST WAY TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT ANYTHING IS TO CHECK IT OUT IN GOD'S WORD. IF IT LINES UP WITH THE WORD, WE KNOW IT IS TRUTH. ALL THE TRUTHS ABOUT SALVATION, HEALING AND EVERYTHING ELSE YOU COULD POSSIBLY NEED TO KNOW TO LIVE A PRODUCTIVE AND HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS LIFE IS IN THERE. LIKE I HAVE SAID BEFORE, IT IS OUR INSTRUCTION BOOK ON LIFE FROM GOD HIMSELF.
NEED HEALING?
1ST PETER 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. AND ISAIAH 53:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. AND MATTHEW 8:16-17 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
NEED TO PROSPER?
3RD JOHN 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
HAVE STRESS?
1ST PETER 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
WANT YOUR NEEDS MET?
PHILIPPIANS 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
IT IT ALL IN THERE AND ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS READ IT, BELIEVE IT AND HAVE FAITH TO ACCEPT IT. I AM ACCEPTING ALL OF THIS....HOW ABOUT YOU?
