Please pray for me as I am hurting over the loss of a loved one gone too soon. I also ask that you be careful during this and any other flu season to come and that you pass this SERIOUS WARNING on to your family and friends!!! My nephew was a healthy young man in his 30s that was suffering from severe flu syptoms. Like many others across the country he decided to go to the hospital for help and was given some Theraflu medication. As a young man he was healthy, into working out when he was not running his own barber shop or remodeling his home which he was almost done with. He loved and enjoyed being with and helping out his family in any way that he could and he never had a history of suffering from depression. So how could someone like this in the prime of his life that was so focused on trying to better himself just up and decide to take his life? Well some of the more serious side effects of Theraflu that I never heard of until yesterday after my nephew was found dead in his house was that taking Theraflu may cause nervousness and halucinations. Although stressing those facts to potential cosumers of the product may have saved the lives of family members around the world I guess the bottom line to the makers of the product was more important.
Before yesterday I have heard about a few other suicides and murder-suicides in St. Louis that have happened during this flu season and wondered what could have been so bad to make someone make a decision to do something like that. Now I also question how many so called suicides around the country could have been a result of a hallucination do to a side effect of a popular cold medicine? As I mourn, I wonder what could have been going on in the mind of my nephew as he was home alone in his house with his gun, sick, and experiencing serious side effects of a medication that was known to have a side effect of may causing dizzieness so a person should probably not try to drive while taking it. If cosumers where more important than a bottom line then maybe a more serious warning would have been given to potential costomers and they would not be left alone while taking something that causes halucinations in some cases. Though I can’t imagine what my nephew was seeing during his last moments I pray that the Lord forgives him for not knowing what he was doing. Pray for my family and question any suicide that you have heard of during this severe flu season for the loss of a loved one may have been caused by a bad side effect that isn’t made to be as serious as it is.

Forgiveness (What does it mean to you?)
 
For God so loves us all that He sent His son to die for our sins. This ultimate sacrifice made it possible for us to in a since get a clean slate. How do we use this chance to start fresh and can we learn to practice this form of grace? Of course we will never be as good at forgiveness as God but what can we do to ask for or to offer forgiveness and how do we go about doing it? What more do we need to do besides say I’m sorry or I forgive you? When you hurt someone, what do you do? When someone hurts you do you need to know all of the where, when, and why’s before you can forgive. From your experience does knowing everything help you to forgive or does it in some ways hender your willingness to completely forgive? Do you live by the motto “I forgive you but”, or have you learned to accept an apology without each complete detail knowing that too much information may just piss you off so you make the choice to just let go and let God deal with what you can’t. What does forgiveness mean to you?

Even though nothings wrong
Sometimes tears start to flow

It was something I heard
While the preacher taught the word
That allowed me to clearly see

Through the scripture he chose
A truth was exposed
God cared for me

Am I truly blessed
The answer is yes

What He's done for others

There's a cure for addictions "In the blood"
It's always been there, in plain sight
At first I couldn't find it, in Gods word
Because I wasn't reading it wright

I prayed for a better understanding
And God answered my prayers
He sent books to read and preachers to teach
Just to show He cared

That I was in a bad situation
For the devil had me bound
I was once lost to addictions
Because of Gods grace I've now been found

To God I give praise and  thanks
The devil will no longer be my demise
I'm so grateful, there's nothing wrong
I just got WATER IN MY EYES

I am the reason for this season
As we celebrate a life
Of a Saviour that came for only one reason
On a silient and holy night
 

He came as Gods gift
A present, both now and then
Seeking out souls to lift
Of lost women and men
 

I'm grateful for the birth
Of a man who gave His life
The ony one to ever walk the earth 
That did everything right
 

Though He was punished out of hatred and spite
To do Gods will was the decision He chose
He paid for my sins with His life
But on the third day, from death He arose
 

As I go to and from worship
I'll give thanks because I understand
That I am the reason and the purpose

Another year has come
That’s now approaching and end
I’m grateful for the comfort received
During the lost of family and friends
 
As I reflect on the days gone by
Throughout all I’ve been through
The Lord is still with me
Is what I know to be true
 
I’ve had some setbacks
In dealing with some lost
There was also a bill for my recovery
But the blood paid the cost
 
Yes the blood still works
It will never lose its’ power
Though evil still lurks
His grace keeps me this hour
 
He is still with me
Therefore I will not give up
For when I’m at my lowest
My God will lift me up
 
Through time shared with a loved one
Or the memory of one that has passed
I can still smile when all is said and done
For His love and good memories will always last
 
He is still with me
This much I know is true
The blood still works and comforts me
