Friends ,God has taught me many precious lessons throughout my life. Most important, though,He has taught me to rely solely on Him to meet my needs.
With all the many things I've been through,It would be easy for me to make up excuses for becoming stagnant in my spiritual walk, but I have chosen another route. That route is to seek God with all my heart. The Lord tells us in Jeremiah 29:13 , "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Sure i mess up and get weak sometime but i know i can not make it without Him,I can not make it under my own power and will and i will surely make a mess just as i have before.
If you feel as if you are living the Christian life on your own, take heart. Continue to obey the Lord and seek Him with all your heart. Like the tree that flourishes in a drought, the godly person who delights in God's Word can survive a spiritual desert as well.
C.S. Lewis ounce said, "Satan's cause is never more in danger than when a human being no longer desiring, but still intending to do God's will, looks around upon a world from which every trace of God seems to have vanished and asks why he has been forsaken, yet still obeys."
Feel like your standing alone ? Keep this in mind my friends. God is still there, and wants you and i to lean on Him. He never leaves us,its us who leave or step away from Him .
If you are stuck in a spiritual desert, refocus your attention on God and His Word. That will bring hope and help.
Friends you are not alone !!!!
God bless and love you all
When i was growing up,Muhammad Ali was boxing and he is arguably the most famous boxer to be crowned the heavyweight champion of the world. We marveled at his combination of finesse and power. And few of us will ever forget his antics outside the ring. "I am the greatest" " I float like a butterfly and sting like a bee" where just a few of his sayings. Many loved him and many couldn't stand him.
Ali, a deeply religious man in the Muslim belief, explained in a Reader's Digest interview what his faith meant to him.
"It means a ticket to heaven. One day we're all going to die,and God's going to judge us,our good and bad deeds. If the bad outweighs the good, you go to hell.If the good outweighs the bad,you go to heaven."
While many of Ali's jabs hit their mark, his explanation of how to get to heaven was way off.
The God of the Bible is going to judge all of us one day, that part is true. But the good that we've done will not wipe out our bad thoughts and deeds. We can't possibly do enough good works to compensate for our sins. The truth is that God would declare every last one of us guilty and worthy of eternal punishment if it weren't for the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the only ticket to heaven. We can't do a thing to resolve our sin problem, except put ourselves at the mercy of God and believe that Jesus' death KO's the penalty of our sin.It is only because of Jesus' sacrifice that God can look at those of us who have accepted that sacrifice and see us as redeemed sinners who have the righteousness of Christ (Romans 3:22).
Whether we think we are "The Greatest" or just a regular Joe --that's the way it is.
Friends,if there are any of you that don't know Jesus and haven't asked Him in your heart or for forgiveness, please send me a message and lets talk. There is nothing you or I can do to win our way to heaven, only through Jesus is the way. HE IS THE GREATEST !!!!!

Hey friends.I want to suggest some new ways to look at thankfulness.
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back,a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75 percent of this world.
If you have any money in the the bank,in your wallet, and spare change in a dish some place, you are among the top 8 percent of the worlds wealthy.
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million that will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the dangers of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture,or the pains of starvation, you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

It is easy to be thankful when things are going our way,but what about when they are not ? A Christian can rise above any situation if they will -- even the ones mentioned above -- to thank God for causing all things to work together for good.

The apostle Paul, was a man who suffered much pain, yet he wrote, "Be joyful always;pray continually;give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" ( 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Paul's thankfulness was not conditioned on any circumstance. he gave great praise to God because of His wonderful attributes, works, and words
Paul knew that all eternity would not be enough time to thank God for His tender mercies. We should all follow Paul's example of thankfulness today.
Friends ,I know it isnt easy sometimes and you may be going through some tough things, but trust me,if we will thank God for all He does and is doing for us ,I know He will bless us even more. Just look around ,theres always someone in worse shape than we are.

Be Thankful today to our wonderful and merciful God.

God Bless you all,I love you, Jerry

Have you felt that way? Have you ever had someone tell you when you share your struggles ," I guess God never gives you more than you can handle!" ????
I have and I understand what they mean but I have to somewhat disagree. It's always more than you can handle.I don't think you're ever suppose to get to where you don't need Him.
The truth is,there's no way we can handle the challenges of this life on our on,no matter how hard we try.Believe me I've tried it and I make a mess every time.God wants us to depend on Him daily.
In 2 Corinthians 12:8,the apostle Paul talked about His struggle with a problem he called a "thorn" in his flesh: "Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.But He said to me,'My grace is sufficient for you,for my power is made perfect in weakness.' "
Paul goes on to say in 2 Corinthians 12:10,"That is why,for Christ's sake,I delight in weaknesses,in insults,in hardships,in persecutions,in difficulties.For when I am weak,then I am strong.
Is there something in your life that you can't handle? A problem you can't solve? Praise God for it ! Because when we're weak,He is strong.
Wow! The Lord gave me this word today driving in my truck near Raleigh. The Spirit came on so strong and started talking to me in my heart and mind,i could hardly wait to get home to look up some scriptures and share with you all. I know this has to be for some of you as much as it was for me.
I was driving into Raleigh this afternoon looking for some supplies for a job when a police car quickly pulled out right behind me and started following me real close.I knew i hadn't done anything and i knew my tags and stuff were current but i tell you,i made two or three turns and he was still right there on me. Well i started getting nervous and fearful and wondering if I'd done something wrong or was everything alright with my truck etc.I'm sure this has happened to some of you.Well after several miles he got in other lane and went on. soon as he did the Lord said to me "Jerry,Do you fear Me like that? Why don't my people fear Me? I am watching and following all the time." It hit me and I had to ask the Lord to forgive me from where i have failed Him.
If i could get that fearful about what a cop thinks or what i might have done wrong why in the world are we not fearful of what God thinks. He is everything. He is everywhere. He is all knowing. There's nothing we do that can hide from Him.
God see's that bad look we give to someone,That ugly comment we say about someone or to them or that attitude we have.He hears when we listen to things we shouldn't.He see's when we watch or look at things we shouldn't.He knows when we are dishonest or sneaky. He knows and see's everything we hear, speak, see.Everything we do. He is like that policeman following us all the time but He loves us and cares about us and it hurts Him when we don't care enough about Him to do right and be fearful of Him and respectful of Him.
When I was a boy growing up I had a respect and fear for my earthly dad.I knew if i didn't behave or did something wrong that he would tear my butt up when he found out.I always thought twice about doing anything that would disappoint my dad or bring his belt down on my butt.Yea I tried him a few times but never got away with it. That's the respect and fear that I believe God wants us to have for Him but to a greater degree.
The Bible is full of verse's talking about the fear of the Lord.
Deuteronomy 28:58 (If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE Lord THY GOD;)
Proverbs 1:28,29 (28.Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:29.For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord)
Proverbs 9:10 (The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.)
Proverbs 14:27 (The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. )
Proverbs 15:33 (The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honor is humility. )
Psalms 19:9 (The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. )
Psalms 111:10 (The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. )
Proverbs 1:7 (The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. )
Proverbs 10:27 (The fear of the Lord prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened. )
Proverbs 16:6 (By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.)
Proverbs 23:17 (Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long. )
Proverbs 8:13 (The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. )
I know that's a lot of scriptures but there are many more speaking about the fear of the Lord and as you can see having that fear makes us stronger, smarter, wiser, live longer, makes us a better person plus we are commanded to do it so it is a must in our Christian walk.
How can we as Christians not care about the places we go,the things we listen to,the things we see,the things we say and do without thinking about the Lord and caring about what he thinks or is He proud of us.
Ask yourself ,is the things I'm doing, places I'm going, things I'm listening to or watching pleasing to my God? Do I fear the Lord and really care what He thinks of me? If you don't my friend you better ask Him in right now and for forgiveness.
We all are treading on deadly ground if we don't care and do like we want to and not have a fear for the Lord because you know what my friends? He is watching and He is following us all the time.Nothing we can get away with so there's no use in trying Him.There is always a price to pay for disobedience.
I challenge you as well as my self to get a new fear for the Lord and lets live a life that is pleasing to Him.What better way to show God we love Him than to do His Word and have a respectful fear for Him that all we want to do is be pleasing to Him.
I love you my friends and i share this with you in love .I know this is what God would have me to say today.
Jerry

Throughout life, we will inevitably be measured according to the world's standards. We must resist allowing this to define who we are and how we perceive ourselves. Instead we must hold firmly to our identity as children of God, knowing that by His grace, He has labeled us "saints." If we understand how God views us, we are able to put into perspective our "failures" in attaining the world's standards

The basis for this perspective comes from the fact that God's economy is radically different from the world's. God is not looking for greatness as our culture describes it; instead, He is looking for faithfulness. So,it is possible to suffer a loss, endure a failure, or face a disappointment and still be a champion in God's eyes.

Our perception of self must be grounded in our relationship to God through faith in Jesus Christ. That is our motivation to give our best effort and remain faithful --- no matter what the circumstances

Proverbs 28:20 - "A faithful man will be richly blessed." God is looking for faithfulness my friends .Let's be faithful to Him through all the ups and downs.Let's change our perspective and see ourselves as God does and not as the world does.
Would you do it ???? I don't think so ! You understand the law called "gravity." The one God created and Isaac Newton discovered.Because of gravity, jumping would be a long fall to your death.
But what if someone said,"Wait a minute,Jerry, that's your truth.Who says there's only one truth? We believe that with proper technique you could actually float !"
Then what if the whole world started to trust in this lie---that one could float after jumping out of the window of a tall building? What if I were the only person left in the whole world who believed that one would fall -- not float? Would that change the truth?
Does the majority rule here? NO! Truth is not Silly Putty that can be shaped however we want.Trust the truth regardless of how the majority votes. We as Christians are told by this world every day to accept things that are not the truth.
Jesus made a definitive statement in John 14:6. he said," I am the way and the truth and the life.No one comes to the Father except through me.
Most of the world has rejected that statement and the One who made it.Many believe there are other roads to God.They feel they can believe what they want and "float" into the arms of God one day. That however is trusting a lie. Many people even Christians are giving in to believing lies like, evolution, false religions, false gods and twisting the truth of the Bible to suit the world.
Truth --- like gravity --- is not about numerical majority.Friends ,you can count on this ---- there is one truth.
In the late 30's there was a race horse I'm sure you have all heard of,his name was Seabiscuit .Seabiscuit had been written off as a loser. He came from nowhere to capture the hearts of America. In the fall of 1938,40million fans (1out of 3 Americans)gathered around the radio and listened to the long-awaited match up between the underdog,Seabiscuit , and the Triple Crown winner,War Admiral.Seabiscuit won by 4 lengths.
Seabiscuit didn't look like a champion. From birth, his trainers considered him to small and nothing like his thoroughbred descendants. So he wasn't given much of a chance to show his true potential. He lost his first 17 starts and was eventually trained to lose in order to bolster the confidence of other horses.
But that all changed when a new owner and trainer saw in him what no one else did. They saw his heart and gave him a second chance.Seabiscuit didn't look the part, but you can't see a horse's heart by looking at its outer appearance.
The same is true for us. The world may judge us by how we look, but God values what is in our heart. In 1 Samuel 17:7 it says:" But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." I've seen so many calling themselves Christians that look at people and judge by someones appearance and i have to admit I've done it myself years ago,but God has shown me through the hearts of many of my big ,bearded, tattooed brothers in Christ that the heart is what God wants and uses.God has blessed me with so many friends that don't look the part but love the Lord with all their hearts. There is no certain way to dress or look that makes you any more a Christian than another.God sees what no one else does. The church better wake up.Have you judged from the outer appearance? I challenge you to stop that and look at the heart.
Inside the heart of every Christian is an unveiling glory that is meant to be discovered and revealed. The Bible says that all Christians "reflect the Lord's glory.....with ever-increasing glory" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Friends, find the glory of Christ in your heart and put it on display!!!No matter what you look like, you can be a winner for Him.
I Love you my friends,Your brother ,Jerry

Perfection eludes all of us.We get up in the morning determined to get it right today, but before we know it we've done something that is not quite right in God's eyes. The same thing happened to God's servants in the Bible. As we observe great biblical characters,we can see how tough it is to achieve perfection. For example,Paul, the greatest missionary ever, admitted that he sometimes did what he knew he shouldn't do.( "What I want to do I do not do,but what I hate I do." Romans 7:15)
There was only one perfect person that walked on the earth and His name is Jesus. We all fall short and when we do it's our responsibility to confess our sins to God and accept His mercy. Our sin should also remind us that we need Jesus Christ our Savior and the forgiveness He offers.
When the curse of imperfection hits,we can learn from it,confess our sins and keep on going. Praise the Lord !
Friends ,I pray that my little teachings help you in some way. They speak to me as much as they do you. I ask you to ask yourself,What area of my life is giving me trouble? That is,what is pointing out your imperfections? What happens to your relationship with God when you sin?
Sin separates us from God but repenting brings us back close. I mess up at times and i know you do too.We are not perfect. We should try to live everyday without sin but when something we say,do or think ,that is not right pops up we should just confess it to God. He loves that. He is so merciful and loving and He knows we are not perfect .We need Him every day.
God bless, I love you, Jerry Fuller

Friends,I want you to think of it this way.Sin put you in prison.Sin locked you behind the bars of guilt and shame and deception and fear.Sin did nothing but shackle you to the wall of misery. Then Jesus came and paid your bail.He served your time;he satisfied the penalty and set you free.Christ died, and when you give your life to Him,your old self dies too.

The only way to be free from the prison of sin is to serve its penalty. In this case the penalty is death.Someone has to die, either you or a heaven-sent substitute. You cannot leave prison unless there is a death. But that death has occurred at Calvary. And when Jesus died to sin's claim on your life. You are free.

My friends,if you are still locked behind the prison bars of sin, please let Jesus bail you out.Give Him your life.He has already paid the price. Please send me a message if you need to know more.

To my friends that have been bailed out of that prison by Jesus, doesn't it feel good? What a loving God we have that sent His Son to die for us.

I love you all and I'm here for you,

Growth is the goal of the Christian.Maturity is mandatory......
I like the story of the little boy who fell out of the bed. When his mom asked him what happened,he answered, "I don't know.I guess I stayed too close to where I got in."
Easy to do the same with our faith.I see it in christians all time time. It's tempting to stay where we got in and never move or grow. Its comfortable just to come ,go,listen and never move forward in what God has for us.Its a tactic of the devil to keep us from being all we can be for God.
I'm going to ask you to pick a time in the not-to-distant past.A year or two ago. Now ask yourself a few questions. How does your prayer life today compare to then? How about your giving of funds and time?Has the amount and joy increased? What about your church loyalty and growth? Can you tell you've grown? And Bible study? Are you learning to learn? Are you desiring to learn more ? Biggest question, are you talking about God to more people and leading them to the Lord ?
Friends ,I'm not tying to be critical.I'm asking my self the same questions. I say, if you are not growing ,then we need to look at our walk with the Lord.We need to look at the church we go to. If we are not growing and becoming a better christian then something is wrong. We need to evaluate where we are .We don't need to be just spectators. We are called to be disciples of Christ and that's not just sitting in a church not growing in the Lord. I've been there myself.
I love you all and want to encourage you to be all you can be for the Lord.Ask God to help you .Ask Him to help you grow.Ask Him to show you what He wants in your life and where he wants you. Don't make the mistake of the little boy.Don't stay too close to where you got in. It's risky resting on the edge..
God bless and I'm always here for you if you need to talk.
The media is talking so much about the auto death of actor Paul Walker of the Fast and furious movies. Definitely a tragic event and i know very hard for his family and loved ones and all the fans and friends.Soon as i heard about it I wondered did Paul know our Savior. I saw many talking about him as an angel in heaven, the truth of the matter is if Paul didn't know Jesus as his Savior then he is not in heaven at this moment. If he did know Jesus as his personal Savior then he is standing in glory land. I started thinking about back in 2001 when Dale Earnhardt was killed in the Daytona 500 .I was in a praise and worship band at the time and the following Wednesday night at young service I was asked to speak a word. The Pastor said the Lord wanted me to speak about something . I said really ? I didn't even know what , but God gave me what to say to over 100 youth that night. I told them about the race and how for some reason God showed me different things throughout the race, not knowing Dale would be killed on the last lap. I wasn't a big Earnhardt fan like some of you might have been but i did think he was great driver. During that race though i picked up on so many things about him. Before the race they where interviewing him and talking about a new grandchild he just had and about his son racing with him and about his racing team ,all smiling and laughing . As they where waiting for the race to begin sitting in their cars, the camera zoomed in to Dale's car showing his wife lean in the car to kiss him and no doubt say I love you. During the race Dale was doing pretty good and so was his son and Michael Waltrip , that was driving one of his cars. As the race wound down Michael was leading the race with Dale junior in second and Dale was in third. I can just imagine the big ole grin and pride he must have felt to see His team and his son in front of him fixing to win this race but on the last lap something happened that Dale had no idea was going to happen. His life was going to end on this Earth. In a split second he hit a wall at nearly 200mph and was killed. I don't know where Dale is spending eternity but you can know where you will spend yours,i told these teens. We are not guaranteed another day, hour or minute. Dozens of young people came to the alter that night.
Friends ,my question to you is are you ready? Do you know with out a doubt where you would be if you died right this moment? If not or if there is doubt. I beg you to get it right with the Lord. I don't know where Paul or Dale stood with the Lord and they definitely where not expecting what happen but you and I can know.Jesus made it so simple for us.To confess Him as our Savior and ask Him to forgive us of our sins. Wash us clean. To do that guarantee's us a place in Heaven. There is no other way to heaven no matter what the world thinks. Jesus paid it all for us .All we have to do is accept Him and live for Him.Friends we are not guaranteed another moment. Our life could end at any time but thank the Lord we can know where we will spend eternity and we don't have to worry or wonder about. Don't wait any longer, never know when it will be to late.Give Him your life completely. The choice is yours.
I love you all and if you want me to pray with you ,i would be honored too.
God bless,Love in Christ,Jerry

The devil brings storms into our life to intimidate us.During a storm, remember that the mind is the battlefield.Don't make your decisions based on your thoughts or feelings, but check with your spirit. When you do,you will find the same vision that was there in the beginning.
When the storms come in your life, dig in with both heels, set your face like flint and be determined in the Holy Spirit to stay out of the boat.Don't get fearful or doubtful like Peter did and take your eyes off Jesus.Be like Abraham did and not waver.
