Indie Gospel's Top 20 Chart for Sept 2017

TODAY AT 3PM WILL BE THE TOP 20 CHART FOR SEPT 2017 TO BE PLAYED FROM #20 TO #1 3:00 - 4:30 OR SO. So by using this blog, you can follow along with the show and be able to hear some tidbits along the way. So with any delay lets get rollin ....

20.  The Blast from the Past ... I use this slot for past#1 songs from a couple of years ago, this one is Doris Johnson and "Am I A Soldier of the Cross" Beautifully done and it is from 3 years ago when the Top 20 was a weekly chart of the Top 10.  Thank You Doris for blessing us with such a beautiful song..

19. " A Child of His Creation"  -  John Lord nice, easy guitar intro , John's rich voice comes in and its just right in balance to where you can follow the lyrics very easily. Nice song John.. really...

18.  "God Will See You Through" - God's Desire Whoa that into was different! Wow! then they just float right in blending, love it, This aint your run of the mill Gospel This is unique.. love it guys!

17.  "When He Spoke the Word" - Everett Adams .. Oh man, The intro is done accapella ..  This song has been on the chart for 11 months! it will probably fall off the Chart at the end of this month. What a song.. Thanks Everett.

16.  "The Poet" - Bruce Moss   This, is the highest debuting song on the Chart entering in #16. listen to the lyrics ... it will touch you. Can you guess who the Poet was?  Bruce, it touched my heart for sure. Thank You for the Blessings. JB

15.  "I'm Glad" - Dave Butler... What you are listening to is actually the roots of Indie Gospel, a Place where songwriters and musicians can go to show their talent in an environment for all. :) I thank God for Dave Butler Cause I get to do what I like to do too! Ken thank you all that you do to keep this awesome community going.. JB

14 "Watching Over Me" - Eva Sabiniano Get Ready for a Wild intro! Her sutter-sing song tune is different and cool. She readhes the millinials, the Young She started in her ministry of music at a very young age, and all through High School was in demand, Christian Music  but with the different flavor.. some of her songs have made it on the Chart at #1 .. now I think she has graduated from College and still doing her ministry. Thank You so much Eva for your Ministry and we are so blessed by all the music.

13. "Take God's Hand" - Nathan Ware Doo you recognize the song? It was number 1 in July ... smooth, a rich voice . after 8 months on the chart I still like it.

12. "Speak of You" - Andrew Kwon ... This is a humdinger! it moves. the lyrics are powerful.  over three years ago it was on the chart but could not find where it hit #1 So it entered the Chart in August.. Andrew, you keep singing for the Lord...

11. "Were You There" - Charity Jackson ... Chairty to take an old standard and do what you did with it takes a lot of self-confidence for everyone compares it to when they remember it. Your Piano accompaniment laced in with the melody  and the lyrics .. they just shine out on their own!  The Emotion at the end, wow!

10.  " He Saved My Soul" - Giving Back ... These girls are great they have a natural harmony and in unison they sound super too.. Such an appropriate name.. for sure They are indeed "Giving Back"  thank You ladies....

9.  "Get Thee Behind Me Satan" - Joe Shaw ... Hooked on Country, Yeahj a am .... and this has got the flavor of pure Country sound

8. "The Widow's Prayer" - Cindy Tilkens .. I just listened to this song twice and still I have goosebumps from it. first of all I cant stand those wild and crazy leads but in this song the lead is simple, and yet its out there to tie in not to show off but to tie it all together. Cindy's voice has a quality that is clean smooth and its personal. I love the "climb into the lead guitar and Cindy singing the ah's incredible.. What else can I say about this artist and song?  :)

7.  "We Will Wait" - Joe Wamsley ... Joe is that you? Wow! Wow a slow 6/8 hmm? What kind of gear are you using? the balance is right there! Gotta be at least 6-7 tracks.. Nicely put together... This song is the one that made the biggest jump i the Chart up 5 spots.  Keep singing for HIM .. JB

6.  "Nail Scarred" - Carla Martin ... Last month's #1 song Carla it so hard to "stack" the voice and sing the same the meter, the inflections, Carla did it... nice song.. Deserving to be #1 as it was last month.. Keep them coming Carla...

5.  "On My Way Down" - Randy Ward .. Now i gotta tell you all, dont let this guy get to you, just because he's in a Wheelchair like me... Nope , it dont mean nuttin.. He'll Capture you with his songs, the lyrics and God's Presence...   Shoot... he got to me.. Im done for! been a fan Randy Ward now for 5 years... Thank You Randy for this Blessing!  JB

4,  "Secret Sins" - Dee Smith ... Dee, The Gloves came off.. wow.. "uhhh just one of my secret sins." 6 months and it is aleady in the Top 5... I dont think its done either.. it just seems to keep climbing...

3.  "Free From Me" - Katelyn McCarter ...   5 months and #3? Cant over this song.. the beat, the arrangement, your voice, the voice overs, the build up, the words.. its all there! NO wonder its #3.... Wow

2.  "A Love Like That" - Hearts of Faith ... From a family of Gospel Singers and a faithful church life Donna and Brenda have a unique Female harmony blend. and I love it... :)  JB

1... We finally made it to the Number One song for Sept 2017. Incredible it will  touch your heart .... John ya did it again... And Now the #1 Song ....

1. "Welcome Home, Son" - John Randolph.. The Rich Country voice the sound of honesty... and yet... its personal ... "Make the world see your heart in mine".. John that is the only way we will be able break the Evil that has come over this planet. Each one of us has his/her own path to the Almighty God Thru His Son Jesus, just live in Faith in Him, Obedience to His Laws and then and yes.. we will hear, "Welcome Home Son" .. amen... JB
