The tool on the front page works by the full page URL of the video (not the shortened URL). That's great if you just have one video to import.

However, if you press the "Search Youtube" button another page opens. That one allows you to put in your youtube channel name (or other search criteria) and find all of your videos. Then you can check the box next to the ones you want and import dozens at a time (if you have that many).

This process works the same for Vimeo videos and Soundcloud audio files.

Add your Paypal address to your profile settings as shown below. Set a price in the create or update form of a song, and your Paypal Buy button automatically shows - it's that easy. Free accounts checkout at their own Paypal, completely bypassing us. Only downloadable files like songs are able to be sold from free accounts.

Subscribed accounts can sell anything and have an integrated shopping cart that can accept credit cards or Paypal.

For subscribed accounts there are additional tabs for Products, Bundles Services, and Sales. You can run a customized store from your account, with physical merchandise, hourly or contract services, plus put prices on your downloads like songs, videos, pictures, and files. You can also set-up a custom storefront under your sales tab and generate unlimited sales pages.

So for subscribers, anything at all can be sold -  books, t-shirts, tickets, CD's, health products, services, whatever. Everything for sale appears both in your account, under the profile tabs where you add them. Also, in your Member Store  and in our central Marketplace.

If you want to be in the Featured categories (Featured members, Featured Songs, Featured videos), you just need to subscribe. Songs and profiles must have pictures too, or they are locked out of featuring.

Besides giving you 20 times more server space and enabling more tools like an integrated shopping cart, subscribing puts you in the featured categories where you and your content receive exposure. It's like paid advertising, but very inexpensive. At $5. a month, it's like buying a cup of coffee once a week.

Every 5 minutes the system updates the 4 featured spots (in each category) with fresh content, but only from the subscribed quotas. Free artists are excluded from featuring but their content can still be found in searches and so on. 

Free artist accounts come with 100MB of space (free members 50 MB). That's enough to host over an hour of broadcast quality audio. However, we can't give away unlimited space because we have to pay for it. Even with that cap, every 100 free artist accounts costs us approximately $20 a month in server resources and other costs.

So if you have a lot of files, you have two choices. Host the excess on youtube, vimeo, soundcloud and flickr. They don't take up space on our server, but they can be imported, indexed, and played here in our players. It's quick and easy to do that. Save your space for those you want to be ad free and stream (or sell) from Indie Gospel. Then you can have a huge free account.

Or, you can subscribe to a premium account and get more space. For just $5. monthly, you can have 2 GB of space in our advanced content management system, plus premium services. Your files become integrated with our deluxe shopping cart instead of Paypal check-out, plus you get a physical merchandise and a services store. You receive advertising in our featured spots and more tools are unlocked.

It's just the price of a cup of coffee a week to pay your own way, and then you are rewarded automatically by the system with more space, features, and exposure.

How do I embed a playlist on an external website. This is easy but it will become even easier as a future upgrade will automatically generate the code.

Meanwhile, embed as an iframe. Just substitute the number of your playlist (whether audio or video) for the number one in this iframe code. Size the width and height as required and paste it anywhere HTML is accepted.

Anyone can make a playlist whether they are an artist or not. Simply click the button which looks like a musical note next to a song. A box opens and asks if you wish to create a playlist, or add the song to an existing one.

You can create as many playlists as you like and they can contain as many songs as you like. The songs can also be arranged by "drag and drop", deleted, or added back again.

Existing playlists can be found under your profile's Playlist tab. 

First of all, you must be logged-in. If you have never been a member, create an account. If you are a member, log in by entering your username and password.

Once you are signed in, your username becomes one of the links in the main menu. No matter where you are, you can click it to return to your profile.

To add content, go to your profile tab associated with that content. If a song, click the audio tab in your profile menu (if a blog click blogs).

Then you will see a + sign top right. Click that to add a new song. To edit a song, click the cogwheel next to it.

This is the same for all types of content - audio, blogs, videos, discussions, etc.

Also, you don't have to upload directly to us (except for sales, radio play, and the Top 20 song and Top 10 video lists). Files that you have stored on Flickr, youtube, vimeo or soundcloud can be indexed, up to 50 at a time.

To upload a whole album of songs, at once click the * button on your audio page, and save yourself time. Pictures also have a bulk uploader and labeller. This is a real time saver don't miss it.

Don't forget that all the content you upload is available in the editors for your profile, blogs, pages, product descriptions, etc., You can embed it with just a click without knowing coding or copying and pasting HTML.

Click "Embed Local Media" in your editor to see this pop-out box.

On this network, you have multiple pages and can create more. You choose which one your visitors see first. If you are a blogger, perhaps your blogs. If an artist, perhaps your songs. If a merchant perhaps your sales page (storefront). If you want a bit of everything, use the profile index page (default) and edit as desired.

First, click the cogwheel icon on the top right of your profile to access your account settings.

To set your landing page, just go to Customize in your Account Settings and select from the drop-down list. If you choose Profile Index, what shows there is controlled by your Profile Skin choice and the Profile Builder.

To set your Profile Skin choose one from the drop-down list. Complete is the default and shows everything. If you switch don't fret about anything being removed. Nothing is deleted, just not displayed. Switch back again if you decide you prefer the skin you had previously. 

If you want a less cluttered look -  choose Clean or Cleaner. Then what shows is completely customizable with the "Profile Builder" edit box in your Account Settings. Add text, HTML, photos, maps, videos, songs, whatever you wish.

Notice that the profile editor only controls the top of the page in Complete and many things show up automatically below it. The other choices (Clean, Cleaner, Whitelabel) take away varying degrees of the automatic "clutter" below it, giving you more design freedom.

To change the background from the default gray, upload a picture and either tile it (for small colors or patterns) or stretch a full-screen picture as your background.

Domain Mapping & Whitelabel

If you want to have a profile that looks like an independent website, some subscription levels allow the Whitelabel  profile skin choice. It removes the network's menu, radio, and the chat bar. If you have a domain name, we can also map it to your profile and a visitor would assume a stand-a-lone website, not a network profile.

This allows you to create an Official Site for your Band or Ministry, that can be advertised with your own custom domain name while still enjoying the advantages of being in the network.

It's the best of both world's, since all the powerful tools of the network are built in, and your content is searchable in the network's main pages, advertised in its featured spots, and saleable content is listed in the marketplace. Yet, visually and functionally, you have your own independent site.

In effect, the network generates sales and traffic for you, but you don't lose any traffic back to the network.

On this network, it is with the "Private Note" link in the drop-down profile menu. I have it set to allow any member to contact any other member, but you can block someone who is being disruptive and please report them.

We also have a full featured chat system which also allows you to build chat rooms, chat wih other members, etc.

Build up your followers list. Invitations allow you to message all of your followers at once, and external mailing lists too.

We are currently developing a more feature rich service. For now, you can message one member at a time with "Private Notes", they do not have to be a follower.

Our social networking tools have staggering reach and work for everyone. We have AddThis installed on the left of pages and ShareThis at the bottom of detail pages.

You can also CONNECT your social media outlets under the Networks tab in your account settings. This will add buttons to your forms so that you can AUTOMATICALLY post to major social media sites while simultaneously posting to your timeline or updating and creating content.

So make one post and hit many places at once. Not just your connected social media sites but ours as well.

When you post to your timeline, it also goes to your subscriber's timelines and the main timeline which reaches all of the network's connected social media sites.

We have various RSS feeds,  our main timeline is currently reaching Twitter, Facebook, Tumbler, Apps.net, Google+, Feedburner, Twibble, and LinkedIn simultaneously. The feed is also subscribable by email, all common feed readers, and compatible with a long list of other services. You and your content become part of this outreach, along with reaching your own social media empires.

Our social media advertising is phenomenal but for our professional advertising services you must subscribe. 

If you are an artist, just subscribe to a Gold account at $5 monthly and you will be automatically rotated into the featured spots - it's automatic. You can also record a short promo for the radio.

Besides this internal advertising system, your subscription gives you a free monthly advertising package at Eagle Ads for self-promotion to tens of thousands of affiliate marketers.

You also receive plenty of fast dedicated server space for your files, with full e-commerce support, an integrated shopping cart, and a customizable storefront. You can even "white label" and promote your own domain if you wish, just ask to have it mapped to your profile.

To edit your profile or account details click the cogwheel on the top right of your profile (must be logged in to see the cogwheel).

A page will open with your profile settings and there will be tabs for account settings, customize, and so on.

Short tips are written to the left of sections and you can click the question mark (?) icon to the right of a section for a more detailed pop-out tip.

You will find editors there where you can add content to the top part of your profile, and the left column. Content like songs, videos, pictures, and discussions, will automatically show in the bottom section when you add them on their respective pages.

The editors allow for links, HTML code, and the Embed Local Media button is quite extraordinary. Once you upload content it is available to be instantly embedded on your profile, or in blogs, pages, or other sections with their editors.

Images, songs,,videos, etc., that you have uploaded under their respective tabs are available in the editors
