With God You're Never Alone

By Jerry Fuller, 2013-08-14

Friends ,God has taught me many precious lessons throughout my life. Most important, though,He has taught me to rely solely on Him to meet my needs.
With all the many things I've been through,It would be easy for me to make up excuses for becoming stagnant in my spiritual walk, but I have chosen another route. That route is to seek God with all my heart. The Lord tells us in Jeremiah 29:13 , "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Sure i mess up and get weak sometime but i know i can not make it without Him,I can not make it under my own power and will and i will surely make a mess just as i have before.
If you feel as if you are living the Christian life on your own, take heart. Continue to obey the Lord and seek Him with all your heart. Like the tree that flourishes in a drought, the godly person who delights in God's Word can survive a spiritual desert as well.

God Is The Greatest

By Jerry Fuller, 2013-08-14

When i was growing up,Muhammad Ali was boxing and he is arguably the most famous boxer to be crowned the heavyweight champion of the world. We marveled at his combination of finesse and power. And few of us will ever forget his antics outside the ring. "I am the greatest" " I float like a butterfly and sting like a bee" where just a few of his sayings. Many loved him and many couldn't stand him.
Ali, a deeply religious man in the Muslim belief, explained in a Reader's Digest interview what his faith meant to him.
"It means a ticket to heaven. One day we're all going to die,and God's going to judge us,our good and bad deeds. If the bad outweighs the good, you go to hell.If the good outweighs the bad,you go to heaven."
While many of Ali's jabs hit their mark, his explanation of how to get to heaven was way off.
The God of the Bible is going to judge all of us one day, that part is true. But the good that we've done will not wipe out...

God's transforming power

By Jerry Fuller, 2013-08-21

So many people put a delay on giving their lives to Christ because they feel they have to get right first. The reality is this : We cannot get ourselves right before God. We must humble ourselves and come to Him,knowing that He is the author of perfection. The change that we desire can be accomplished only through Jesus Christ .
Then there are some people who refuse to believe because they think the person they were yesterday is the person they have to be today. This limiting belief will keep them imprisoned to their past mistakes and limitations. When we come to Christ as we are,we relinquish our power and allow Him to reconstruct our lives.
If we allow God to do the transforming in our lives,we can rest assured that we will be all that God created us to be.
God bless you my friends. Allow God's transforming power in your life.

Focusing on Jesus

By Jerry Fuller, 2013-08-21

In the book of Hebrews (12:2) we are told to "Fix our eyes on Jesus......". We need to daily remind ourselves who it is we live for and what our ultimate goal is in life.
When we give too much attention to our circumstances and surroundings,we become distracted and loose our focus. Jesus promises to give us strength if we would make Him the center of our life.

We must take the time to get away from the distractions of living and focus our mind and our eyes on the One who brings us victory in life.

Thankfulness

By Jerry Fuller, 2013-08-22

Hey friends.I want to suggest some new ways to look at thankfulness.
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back,a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75 percent of this world.
If you have any money in the the bank,in your wallet, and spare change in a dish some place, you are among the top 8 percent of the worlds wealthy.
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million that will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the dangers of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture,or the pains of starvation, you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

It is easy to be thankful when things are going our way,but what about when they are not ? A Christian can rise above any situation if they will -- even the ones mentioned above -- to thank God for causing all things to...

More Than You Can Handle

By Jerry Fuller, 2013-08-27

Through my life I've had some great challenges, some greater than others. There have been many times when I felt i couldn't go another step or another day and I had to fall on my knees to God and ask Him to help me because there was nothing i could do and i felt i couldn't handle any more. Have you felt that way? Have you ever had someone tell you when you share your struggles ," I guess God never gives you more than you can handle!" ????
I have and I understand what they mean but I have to somewhat disagree. It's always more than you can handle.I don't think you're ever suppose to get to where you don't need Him.
The truth is,there's no way we can handle the challenges of this life on our on,no matter how hard we try.Believe me I've tried it and I make a mess every time.God wants us to depend on Him daily.

Fear of the Lord ???

By Jerry Fuller, 2013-08-30

Wow! The Lord gave me this word today driving in my truck near Raleigh. The Spirit came on so strong and started talking to me in my heart and mind,i could hardly wait to get home to look up some scriptures and share with you all. I know this has to be for some of you as much as it was for me.
I was driving into Raleigh this afternoon looking for some supplies for a job when a police car quickly pulled out right behind me and started following me real close.I knew i hadn't done anything and i knew my tags and stuff were current but i tell you,i made two or three turns and he was still right there on me. Well i started getting nervous and fearful and wondering if I'd done something wrong or was everything alright with my truck etc.I'm sure this has happened to some of you.Well after several miles he got in other lane and went on. soon as he did the Lord said to me "Jerry,Do you fear Me like that? Why don't my people fear Me? I am watching and following all the time." It...

What God Is Looking For

By Jerry Fuller, 2013-09-07

Throughout life, we will inevitably be measured according to the world's standards. We must resist allowing this to define who we are and how we perceive ourselves. Instead we must hold firmly to our identity as children of God, knowing that by His grace, He has labeled us "saints." If we understand how God views us, we are able to put into perspective our "failures" in attaining the world's standards

The basis for this perspective comes from the fact that God's economy is radically different from the world's. God is not looking for greatness as our culture describes it; instead, He is looking for faithfulness. So,it is possible to suffer a loss, endure a failure, or face a disappointment and still be a champion in God's eyes.

Our perception of self must be grounded in our relationship to God through faith in Jesus Christ. That is our motivation to give our best effort and remain faithful --- no matter what the circumstances
