Samuel Legodi,(born 08 October 1977 in Mabopane, Pretoria), emerged with the stage name Khareij (courage) as a songwriter, singer, dancehall and reggae artist rapper, authored a book, God Answers Prayer, that can be found on online bookstores. Started the music journey in 1995 when started writing his own lyrics. The following year joined the band that played for weddings, parties and more. Inspired by the likes of Shabba Ranks, the late Abel Gulele (Abba Shante) and Junior Sokhela of Boom SHaka, he pursued to perfect his rapping skills and studying patua. With the help of the then developed friendship with the late Johannes Nkuna (Umanji), who was advising him in pursuing music career, he recorded his first album ‘Watch how Mih Bounce’ going by the name Shabby Mackashedda. Before the release, his producer was involved in a fatal car accident. He continued doing choreographic dancehall acts with a group called Bubble Gum while on the other hand promoting his music. After receiving an advice from Blondie Makhene, who was visiting Warmbaths for a show, to pursue the music
