Johnny's Poem, Haunting Memoirs of a Vietnam Veteran

Category: Music
Duration: 00:06:51
Description:
ABOUT: To a background of soul-stirring music, Ann M. Wolf narrates the haunting poem by Vietnam Veteran Johnny W. Herring by which he shares his reflections and memories of beach-side battlegrounds during his time of service. Among his many duties, his solemn task as coxswain, was to leave off those who would meet their destiny on the blood stained shores of Nam. He also shares remarks about the mental and emotional anguish which follows in the years to come, not doing so just with regard to his own experience, but on behalf of all who serve in harm’s way. Songwriter, Army wife, and Chaplain, Ann M. Wolf compiled this video and narration as a continuance of honors given to our Vietnam Veterans, also drawing attention to the ongoing need for greater support of every kind that is due to all who serve in harm’s way.
