Oftentimes, in Christian literature, media, we may find that there is much focus on the death of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ .  The cruelty of the Cross and the events which led to Christ's suffering is often glamorized, immortalized and exploited.  From stageplays to old films, the story is seen especially during the Easter season. However, as Believers, we know that the most significant part of the Cross is at the back of the Cross.  At the back of the Cross, there is healing, for He was bruised for our inequities.  The chastisement of our peace was upon Him. We may feel saddened at the event of the Cross, but we are encouraged by the Getting Up .  For God so loved the world that He gave His begotten Son and who shall believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting Life. John 3:16

The getting up from the ashes of hate, injustice, strife, violence, was first performed by Christ.

The arising of Christ after the passing of the three days is where our focus should be; the getting up . 
As we arise out of our adversities, situations and sufferings, we know that as our Lord and Saviour, Jesus laid down His life for us, and Got Up, so we are to get up from when the world pushes us, drags us or knocks us down.  We are to get up and continue this race to the finish.  The Getting up is what we celebrate this Easter Holiday season.  Not the marketing, the exploitation of the gift, not the colors in the eggs or the convening among brothers and sister of Faith on Easter Sunday, it is the Getting up, the Arising, tha't we find confidence to go another day.
