You Won't Leave Me
I am wayward and many times I walk my own way.
I leave you behind, but you stick with me anyway.
Your eyes are forever on me and you see my heart.
But you want me, yes, just like at the start.
You won't leave me even when I'm at my worst.
You already saved me, and you called me to you first.
You didn't leave me when I didn't even want you.
You, Jesus, won't leave me whatever I may do.
One day we will be together, together in the sky.
Our hearts will be as one and on you I will rely.
You will never leave me or forsake me while I'm here.
But over there you will, yes forever be so near.
You won't ever leave me or forsake me.
For you, yes Lord, are my God.
