The Kind Of Love You Gave
The Kind Of Love You Gave
David Erickson
Ab-85
Verse One
Suffering and pain would end your days on this sinful earth.
Each day you shared your love beginning at your simple birth.
Such an amazing love. What kind of love, your sweet love.
We will never fathom the flow of your love that comes from above.
Chorus
Is this the kind of love you gave on the old, rugged tree?
The kind of love you gave when you died just for me.
Daily you reach out to us and you give us your heart.
Soon the kind of love you gave will be with us and never depart.
Verse Two
I am never alone with you by my side, and you see every sigh.
You pick me up when I fall, and you hear my heart's cry.
Forever I will exalt your name for the kind of love you gave.
I sing of your incredible grace and how you forgave.
Bridge
Oh, the kind of love you gave cost you everything.
I feel your love, I need your love, forever let it ring.
