In 2002 my friend, Amy Nicholas, e-mailed me a poem she had written and asked if I could make a song out of it. Well, I liked it immediately, but I told her I thought it needed another line per verse, so I asked her if it was okay if I edited it a little bit. She said I could, but it's taken me until now to perfect it. So here it is. I hope it blesses you.
Lift up your voice unto the King!
In all the heavens let it reing!
Our Savior came for us to die,
That we might live with Him on high!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
I will praise Him for He loves me!
Hallelujah!
For a world of sinners such as I,
Who am but dust, condemned to die,
Our Savior came to set us free,
His life the price of liberty.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
I will praise Him for His mercy!
Hallelujah!
He rose, the victor o'er the tomb;
His throne in heaven to assume,
So we may boldly come before
His throne of grace to Him adore.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
I will praise Him in His glory!
Hallelujah!
Now we await the trumpet sound.
When the dead in Christ leap from the ground!
The living saints join the in the sky,
Within the twinkling of an eye!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
We will praise His name forever!
Hallelujah!
Lift up your voice unto the King!
In all the heavens let it reing!
Our Savior came for us to die,
That we might live with Him on high!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
I will praise Him for He loves me!
Hallelujah!

Awesome! I love it!
