Enoch Walked With God - as sung by Jack Marti

Description:
"By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God." Hebrews 11:5
Here's another song by Marilyn Ravina that I have known of since 1986, but never memorized it before, until now. It's a wonderful song about Enoch, the man who walked with God, and was not, for God took him (see Gen. 5:24). He is a type from the antediluvian period, as is Elijah from the post flood era, of those in the final generation who will live to see Christ come and who will not die. We should all strive to be among those who are redeemed and will be alive when Jesus comes! This song speaks to that aspiration.

Intro G C D G
(G)Enoch walked with God, and God took him.
(C)Enoch walked with God, and God (D)took him.
O (G)Lord, I (D)pray that (C)I might (G)be
(C)Faithful in my hu(G)manity,
(C)Clothed with Thy di(G)vinity
(C)Able to walk with (D)You, dear Lord,
Like (G)Enoch.
Enoch walked on earth, but it was not his home.
Enoch walked on earth, but he was not alone.
O Lord,...
Able to walk with You, O Lord,
like Enoch.
Enoch walked with God, but when he had a son,
One could say his transformation had begun.
O Lord,....
Able to walk with You, my Lord,
Like Enoch.
Enoch walked beyond the clouds and never died.
He had His friend and Savior always at his side.
O Lord,...
Able to walk with You, Lord,
Just like Enoch
Jesus came to earth and laid His glory down.
So we could go home with Him and wear the crown.
O Lord,...
Able to walk with Jesus
Just like Enoch.
If you choose to give your heart to be God's throne,
You will find in heaven your eternal home.
O Lord,...
Able to walk in heaven
Just like Enoch,
Like Enoch,
Like Jesus.
