LaToya Jones was born in the Bronx, NY in August of 1986 to Clarence Jones and Josy Rey-Jones. LaToya is now 24 years old and for the last four years she has been in pursuit of her ministry and dream career as an artist, singing to the honor and glory of God. She is an anointed Minister recently called to the position of Youth Pastor, appointed by her Bishop and father, Dr. Clarence Jones and she also operates in the office of an Evangelist. She is dedicated to the call of God on her life and she loves the Lord with all her heart. LaToya was blessed with the opportunity to sing along with one of her favorite artists Kim Burrell in the summer of 2009 in the Bronx, NY where Ms. Burrell spoke words of life and encouragement into her life. She has also been blessed to be a guest on the project “Heart of Worship” by Jeremy Ricks of the Bronx, NY. As an upcoming psalmist LaToya’s desire is to change the face of gospel music and to create music that not only tells of God’s delivering power but that also deals with the issues of life that people shy away from. Issues like hypocrisy, relationships, sexual habits, depression, scandals etc. and how to properly deal with them. Kirk Franklin did it with “Revolution,” Tye Tribbett did it with “Stand Out” and now LaToya wants to follow in those awesome foot steps with her project "Fresh Wind... Its time for a change". Gospel music should be geared towards the transformation and deliverance of souls and if given the opportunity she knows the music that God has laid on her heart will transform this generation and many to come.
