Not Forgotten
Title: “Not Forgotten”
Inspired by Matthew 10:29
Verse 1
Two sparrows fall, and no one sees—
But Heaven leans in on bended knee.
A penny’s worth, yet still You know
Each feather’s flight, each wing that goes.
Verse 2
The wind may toss, the night may cry,
But not a soul escapes Your eye.
If smallest things are held so near,
Then I, O Lord, have naught to fear.
Chorus
I am not forgotten,
I am not alone.
The One who charts the sparrow’s path
Has claimed me as His own.
No tear unseen, no silent prayer,
No moment lost in vain—
For even when the sky turns grey,
You call me by my name.
Verse 3
The world may trade me cheap and small,
But You, O God, see through it all.
Not silver, gold, or grand applause—
But mercy wrapped in nail-scarred love.
Bridge
When doubt surrounds me like the deep,
When I am broken, lost, and weak,
You whisper truth the world denies:
"You are the treasure in My eyes."
Chorus
I am not forgotten,
I am not alone.
The One who holds the universe
Still calls this heart His home.
No shame too deep, no past too dark,
No distance too extreme—
For even when I’ve lost my way,
You find me in the stream.
Outro
So let the sparrows rise and sing,
Reminders of the love You bring.
If they are known by heart and name…
Then so am I—forever claimed.
