He wakes up in the morning, surprised he's in his bed

He was out again last night trying to feel the empty void in his head

The best he can remember, his child-hood was a drag

and since he's gotten older his life's gone to worse from bad

He's always kinda known there was a hole in his life

He's tried filling it with money, success, and a half a dozen wives

No matter what he does the hole only grows

Even hangin' with the boys he can't help feeling alone

But she shared with him instead some news that would change his life
