Chainbreaker
Each time she sings, Angela “Missy” Billups takes listeners to church. So be ready to put on your Sunday finest when Missy releases her latest single, “Chainbreaker,”
Known for her trademark go-to-meetin’ millinery and her effervescent voice and personality, Missy pours every ounce of energy into God’s service. She is comfortable singing worship songs such as “My Inspiration,” as well as churchy singles such as “Victory Right Now,” “Walking In Victory,” “Praise Him,” and the classic “City Called Heaven, “ and we can’t forget the latest on the Christmas single, “Let Us Adore Him.”
On “Chainbreaker,” Missy slows it down to break it down. She uses Zach Williams’ heartwarming gospel ballad to reassure listeners that God can handle any situation, no matter how difficult or impossible things may seem.
Ernest Billups, Missy’s son and the leader of the gospel group Tribe of Levi, produced “Chainbreaker” at his E’mazin Entertainment Studios.
The genuineness of Missy’s delivery comes from the fact that she’s a personal witness to God’s chain-breaking power. “The Chains in Life was holding me down,” she said, “but today I stand free from bondage and sin. I believe one cannot tell the world He's a chain breaker unless they are a living testimony. I am a living testimony.”
