Let Us Adore Him” by Angela “Missy” Billups  "The Year-Round Anthem"

Though it begins with an interpretation of the beloved Christmas hymn, “O Come All Ye Faithful,” make no mistake: Angela “Missy” Billups’ “Let Us Adore Him” is a hand-clapping, aisle-dancing, church-wrecking release suitable for radio spins year-round.

Once again, the award-winning singer of such radio hits as “Chainbreaker” and “Walking in Victory” takes listeners to church with her spirit of unfettered praise. As the Greater Praise Choir of Harlem, NY, moves into thunderous fourth gear with a series of cascading harmonies, Missy steps forward like a seasoned evangelist, leading the congregation in some “24/7 worship.”

“It was first arranged without a lead,” Missy explained. “But Ernest brought me in to do some ad libs and it really took off. We added some lyrics to demonstrate the real meaning of the birth of Christ.”

Arranged and produced by Missy’s son, Ernest Billups, “Let Us Adore Him” will be now be released for national radio worldwide.

Enthusiasm for the song among gospel announcers and other industry tastemakers is already building. “Your song is the BOMB!” declares veteran radio promoter Zadella “Mama” Curtis. Gary, Indiana, radio announcer Antionette Gaines agrees: “This song is on fire!”  Said Dr. Susie Jones, senior pastor of Los Angeles’ Yahweh’s House of Prayer and Worship for all People: “The song is off the chain! It’s a hit!”  Linda Greenwood, WNAA 90.1 FM AT&T “I can hear this song being played on radio any given Sunday morning, getting those listeners ready for church”

Other announcers and stations that have embraced the song include:

Randy Johnson - Rejoice Richmond (Virginia) 101.3 FM

Willie Jones – WLUW 88.7 FM, Chicago, Illinois

Marvin Lyles – “Gospel Sunrise,” WGVE 88.7 FM, Gary, Indiana

Dr. Duane Knight  –  The City College of New York “WHCR 90.3 FM”

Just as holiday songs never go out of style, radio announcers are finding that “Let Us Adore Him,” is just as powerful and Holy Ghost-filled today as when it was introduced four years ago. It is destined to stay in regular rotation for years to come.
