"QUESTION WHAT YOU HEAR" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

QUESTION WHAT YOU HEAR

DO YOU QUESTION SOME OF THE THINGS YOUR PASTOR SAYS OR DO YOU JUST THINK IT IS TRUE BECAUSE HE SAID IT WAS?  SOMETIMES PASTORS MAKE MISTAKES NOT REALLY MEANING TO.  ALSO, THERE ARE MANY FALSE TEACHERS OUT THERE AND WE SHOULD QUESTION EVERY THING WE HEAR AND IF IT DOES NOT LINE UP WITH THE WORD OF GOD, THEN WE SHOULD SEPARATE OURSELVES FROM THEM.

SOME PEOPLE ARE BEING TAUGHT UNTRUTHS ABOUT GOD AND THE BIBLE AND JUST STAY WHERE THEY ARE BECAUSE THEY WERE BROUGHT UP IN THAT CHURCH.  THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS IN THE BIBLE THAT SOME CHURCHES DON'T BELIEVE.  PAUL WARNED US OF THIS IN 2ND CORINTHIANS 11:12-15 WHEN HE SAID...

"HE WAS BORN A SAVIOR" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2020-01-11

He Was Born A Savior

Luke 2:11, 'For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.'

LUKE 2:8-20

Jesus did not grow into being Lord and Saviour. He was born that way. Jesus was God manifest in the flesh (1 Tim. 3:16). What a great mystery!

How could Almighty God limit Himself to the form of a man? And even if He did that, how could he possibly start as a baby? These questions defy human ability to fully understand.

At the dedication of the first temple, Solomon said, 'But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!'

(2 Chr. 6:18) How much less the body of a...

SALVATION, DON'T LEAVE EARTH WITHOUT IT

WHAT IS SALVATION?  THE DICTIONARY DEFINES IT AS  (1. The act of saving; preservation from destruction, danger or great calamity.)  AND  (2. Appropriately in theology, the redemption of man from the bondage of sin and liability to eternal death, and the conferring on him everlasting happiness. This is the great salvation.) THAT IS WHAT JESUS DID FOR US AND WE JUST NEED TO ACCEPT IT.

IT HAS OFTEN BEEN PRESENTED THIS LAST WAY AS THE WAY TO ESCAPE THE JUDGEMENT OF HELL.  PEOPLE ARE BORN AGAIN WITH THIS KIND OF SALVATION BUT I THINK THEY LOOK AT...

"GOD DESIRES FAITH" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

God Desires Faith

Luke 2:7, 'And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.'

LUKE 2:1-7

What an amazing account! God Almighty was born of a virgin and placed in a feeding trough in a stable. Who would ever expect the Creator of the universe to make His entrance into the world in such a humble fashion?

Men always seek to proclaim their glory as far and wide as possible. Yet here is the only one who really has any glory to proclaim, and He comes humbly. It wasn't because He didn't have the power to do things otherwise.

He could have chosen to be born in a fashion that would have brought all creation to their knees in...

"RIGHTEOUS ANGER" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

RIGHTEOUS ANGER

IS IT BAD TO GET ANGRY?  JESUS DID.  THE JEWS PASSOVER WAS AT HAND AND IN THE TEMPLE THE MONEY CHANGERS WERE GATHERED.  THESE WERE JEWS WHO CHANGED THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF MONEY INTO THE TYPE THAT WAS USED IN JERUSALEM.  THE MONEY WAS USED TO BUY THE OXEN, SHEEP OR DOVES TO  MAKE AN OFFERING TO GOD  A LOT OF WORSHIPERS  HAD COME FROM MILES AWAY  AND INSTEAD OF BRINGING THEIR OFFERINGS, THEY BOUGHT THEM IN THE TEMPLE.

"JOSEPH WAS A MAN OF FAITH" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Joseph Was A Man Of Faith

Matthew 1:24, 'Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife.'

MATTHEW 1:18-24

Much attention is given to Mary and her piety, but Joseph was quite a man of faith, too.

Verse 18 says that Mary was 'found' with child, implying that the pregnancy was observed by Joseph, not explained to him by Mary. And this was after Mary had been away visiting Elisabeth for three months! (Lk. 1:56) Certainly Joseph was tempted with the same thoughts that you or I would have been. How could she expect him to believe that this was a virgin birth?

As special as Mary was, she had an equally special young man for a fiance.

How many men would have...

OUR PROSPERITY  PLEASES GOD

I GET SO TIRED OF PEOPLE WHO ARE ALWAYS COMPLAINING ABOUT  PASTORS AND EVANGELIST HAVING A LOT OF MONEY.  I AM SURE THERE ARE SOME THAT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE AND USE THE MONEY TO LINE THEIR POCKETS AND DON'T USE IT FOR GOD'S WORK BUT DON'T JUDGE THEM ALL.  ONLY GOD KNOWS THEIR HEARTS.  I THINK A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO ARE ALWAYS SAYING BAD THINGS ABOUT THEM DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT GOD'S WORD REALLY SAYS ABOUT THIS.  LET ME GIVE YOU A SCRIPTURE ABOUT THIS AND SEE WHAT YOU...

"DESERT TRAINING" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Desert Training

Luke 1:80, 'And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.'

LUKE 1:57-80

John the Baptist had the most important job assignment ever given to any mortal in the history of the world. He was to prepare the way for the coming of the long awaited Messiah (v. 76).

How did the Lord prepare John for such an important task? What university could teach him all he needed to know? Who offered a course in becoming the greatest prophet who ever lived? (Mt. 11:11) Of course, no one could prepare John for such an important position, so the Lord taught him personally. John was in the deserts until he was thirty years old. He was tutored directly by the Lord...

"CHOOSING JOY" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Choosing Joy

Luke 1:46-47, 'And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.'

LUKE 1:39-56

Here, Mary makes a very clear distinction between her soul magnifying the Lord and her spirit rejoicing.

Our soul is the part of us that is considered to be our personality. It is our intellect, emotions and will. Our spirit is the part that gets changed at salvation and it is always operating in 'love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance' (2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 5:22-23). That's true whether our souls (feelings and emotions) 'feel' it or not.

Many believers wait until their emotions feel like praising the Lord before they enter in to worship. They...

HOW IS YOUR WEATHER THIS MORNING?  I AM IN FLORIDA AND IT IS 49 DEGREES HERE BUT IT IS GOING TO BE 72 LATER TODAY.  THIS IS TALKING ABOUT OUR PHYSICAL WEATHER BUT NOW LET ME ASK YOU HOW YOUR SPIRITUAL WEATHER IS.  WHAT I AM GETTING AT IS WHEN WE ARE HOT WE DON'T PUT ON MANY CLOTHES AND WHEN IT IS COLD WEATHER WE DRESS IN SOMETHING WARM.  AND, WHEN IT IS RAINING WE PUT ON SOMETHING THAT WILL KEEP US DRY.  WELL, SPIRITUAL WEATHER CAN BE GOOD OR BAD ACCORDING TO YOUR WALK WITH THE LORD BUT WE NEVER KNOW WHEN TH AT WEATHER MIGHT CHANGE BECAUSE SATAN...
