"AT THY WORD" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-02-21
"AT THY WORD" BY ANDREW WOMMACK
Luke 5:5, "And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net."

LUKE 5:1-11

Peter and his companions had been working hard all night. Their efforts had not produced even one fish. They had given up and were headed home. But Jesus told them to try it just one more time.

It would have been easy for Peter to reject Jesus' command. After all, Peter had been a fisherman all his life. Jesus was just a preacher. What did He know about fishing? Yet something, or rather someone, caused Peter to try just once more.

Many people are like Simon Peter and his partners. They have done all that they know to do and yet they've come up empty-handed. This breeds a despair and hopelessness that causes many people to quit trying. Yet, just one word from Jesus could make the same tasks that have been unproductive on our own bear great fruit.

The key to success or failure lies in doing things at the word of Jesus. Peter said, "at thy word I will let down the net." God's words always get results.

Today, make sure your efforts are directed by God and you will experience the results that have eluded you in the past.

"PRAISE THE LORD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

"PRAISE THE LORD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO PRAISE THE LORD?  I KNOW ALL OF YOU HAVE HEARD THE SONG THAT SAYS "PRAISE THE LORD, OH MY SOUL, PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME", BUT HOW DO WE PRAISE HIM?  THE WORD PRAISE MEANS "TO GLORIFY, WORSHIP, OR HONOR".  NOW WE ALL CAN DO THAT.  WHEN WE ARE ALONE WITH HIM, WE CAN TELL HIM THAT WE LOVE HIM. THANK HIM FOR SAVING US AND ALSO FOR ALL THE THINGS HE HAS, AND IS, DOING FOR US, THINGS THAT WE DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT.

WORSHIP HIM BY SINGING TO HIM WITH WORDS THAT COME STRAIGHT FROM YOUR HEART.  IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE WORDS DON'T RHYME OR THAT YOU CAN'T CARRY A TUNE.  I AM SURE HE WILL LOVE IT.  IN HEBREWS 13:15, PAUL TELLS US TO DO THIS  WHERE HE SAYS "By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name."

HONOR HIM BY LOVING HIM AND KEEPING HIS COMMANDMENTS AS IT SAYS IN MATTHEW 22:13 "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind."

PRAISE, WORSHIP AND HONOR HIM BECAUSE YOU WANT TO, NOT BECAUSE WE ARE COMMANDED TO DO SO.  LOOK WHAT ROMANS 15:11 SAYS, "And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people."  FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT "LAUD" MEANS (I DIDN'T), IT MEANS 1. Praise; glorification. AND 2. A hymn or song of praise.  I WILL LEAVE YOU WITH ONE MORE VERSE, JOHN 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  IT SAYS THAT GOD IS SEEKING SOMEONE TO WORSHIP HIM.  WILL THAT BE YOU?

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

"THE PROMISES OF GOD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

"THE PROMISES OF GOD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

THE LORD HAS GIVEN US SO MANY PROMISES IN THE BIBLE AND THERE ARE SO MANY CHRISTIANS THAT DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT THEM.  PETER TELLS US THAT WE ARE GIVEN "EXCEEDING" GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES.  2ND PETER 1:3-4 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.  DID YOU SEE IT?  LOOK AT THE UNDERSCORED.  AND HOW DO WE GET THAT KNOWLEDGE, THROUGH HIS WORD.  I KNOW YOU GET TIRED OF ME HARPING ON STUDYING THE BIBLE BUT YOU CAN NOW SEE WHY.

I LIKE WHAT IT SAYS ABOUT MAKING US PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE SO WE CAN ESCAPE THE CORRUPTION THAT IS IN THE WORLD THROUGH LUST.  JAMES 1 HAS A LOT TO SAY ABOUT LUST IN VERSE 14 AND 15 WHEN IT SAYS "But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.  Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."  ACCORDING TO STRONG'S CONCORDANCE, LUST TRANSLATED HERE MEANS "A LONGING, ESPECIALLY FOR WHAT IS FORBIDDEN".  THIS IS WHERE RENEWING OF OUR MINDS COMES IN.  WE ALL HAVE TO DO THIS.

SO GET INTO YOUR BIBLE AND LEARN ALL THE PROMISES. CLAIM THEM FOR YOURSELF AND START ENJOYING WHAT JESUS WANTS YOU TO HAVE.  HE LOVES YOU AND WANTS THE BEST FOR YOU.  WON'T YOU RECEIVE IT?

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

"DRAWN BY HIS POWER" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

"DRAWN BY HIS POWER" BY ANDREW WOMMACK
Mark 1:37, "And when they had found him, they said unto him, All [men] seek for thee."

MK. 1:35-39; LK. 4:42-44

This is an amazing statement. Jesus' ministry was only a few months old and the masses of people were already seeking him out.

This is even more astonishing when you realize that Jesus had not used any of the conventional methods of publicity. In fact, Jesus had already rejected publicity during His first ministry in Jerusalem (Jn. 2:24-25). There was no natural explanation for Jesus' success.

God is the one who promoted Jesus. And He used supernatural means to do it. It was not the slick techniques of Madison Avenue that brought the crowds--it was the awesome manifestation of God's power.

Just the day before, Jesus had cast the demon out of a man at the synagogue in Capernaum (Mk. 1:21-28). This caused the whole city to gather at Peter's house and Jesus healed every one of them (Lk. 4:40).

Jesus' display of the miraculous power of God was the spark that the Holy Spirit used to light a fire in the hearts of these people. Jesus had this power because of His intimate relationship with His father. It is no accident that He was praying while all men were seeking Him.

As you seek to touch others with the new life that you've found in Christ, let God confirm His Word with the miraculous manifestations of His power through you.

"GOD IS FAITHFUL" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

"GOD IS FAITHFUL" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

I WROTE A PRAISE REPORT LIKE THIS ONE SOMETIME BACK TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO TRUST IN GOD'S FAITHFULNESS.  I AM GOING TO GIVE IT AGAIN THIS MORNING IN HOPES THAT THOSE WHO DIDN'T GET TO READ IT CAN DO IT NOW AND HOPING IT WILL REACH SOMEONE WHO REALLY NEEDS THE ENCOURAGEMENT. GOD'S PROMISES ARE REAL AND CAN BE YOURS IF YOU HAVE FAITH TO BELIEVE WHAT HE SAYS.  I DID AND LOOK WHAT IT GOT ME.

MANY YEARS BACK I WAS MANAGING A MARINA HERE IN MELBOURNE, FLORIDA. THE MARINA WAS SOLD AND I WAS LET GO. AT THAT TIME I WAS MAKING BETTER THAN $25,000 A YEAR, AND THAT WAS GOOD MONEY BACK THEN, OWNED A HOME, TWO CARS AND WAS LIVING HIGH ON THE HOG, AS THEY SAY.  WELL, I FOUND A JOB RIGHT AWAY BUT WAS ONLY MAKING MINIMUM WAGE.  WITH A HOUSE PAYMENT AND CAR PAYMENTS AND A FAMILY TO SUPPORT I WAS IN TROUBLE.  I LOST THE HOUSE AND HAD TO MOVE IN WITH MY MOTHER-IN-LAW.

THEY SOLD THE HOUSE AND SAID THEY SOLD IT FOR LESS THAN I OWED SO THEY PUT A $25,000 JUDGEMENT ON ME.  I COULDN'T EVEN HAVE A CHECKING ACCOUNT AS I WAS AFRAID THEY WOULD TAKE THE MONEY.  THIS IS WHEN YOU GET VERY CLOSE TO GOD OR YOU TURN THE OTHER WAY.  I GOT CLOSE AND PRAYED THAT HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF THINGS BECAUSE I HAD REALLY SCREWED THEM UP.  I ASKED FOR A NEW HOME AND THE BIBLE SAYS IN MARK 11:24 "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." I BELIEVED SO EVERY MORNING I WOULD THANK GOD FOR MY NEW HOME AND STATION HIS ANGELS OVER IT TO KEEP IT SAFE.

AFTER A COUPLE OF MONTHS I FELT GOD WAS TELLING ME TO GO LOOK FOR MY HOME.  WELL EVERY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MARY JANE AND I WOULD BE OUT LOOKING AT HOUSES AND WE FOUND THIS PLACE WHERE I LIVE NOW.  HOWEVER, WITH A JUDGEMENT AGAINST ME AND NO MONEY FOR A DOWN PAYMENT AND THE HOUSE COSTING $92,000, I JUST KEPT THANKING GOD FOR MY HOME.  WELL OUR GOD IS AMAZING.  SOMEHOW HE GOT THE JUDGEMENT REMOVED, I GOT APPROVED FOR A $95,000 LOAN AND BOUGHT THIS PLACE WITH NO DOWN PAYMENT.  NOW THAT WAS GOD KEEPING HIS PROMISE.

BE PREPARED TO RECEIVE YOUR ANSWER WHEN YOU PRAY. REMEMBER THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL.  GOD HAD PROMISED THEY WOULD BE DELIVERED SO WHEN IT WAS TIME, THEY ATE THE PASSOVER MEAL BY FAITH, PACKED THEIR BAGS AND WAS READY TO GO.  GET READY FOR YOUR PRAYERS TO BE ANSWERED.  GOD IS FAITHFUL. MATTHEW 7:7 SAYS "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."  SO ASK BUT BE READY TO RECEIVE.

I WOULD SUGGEST THAT EACH OF YOU PUT OUT A PRAISE REPORT TO ENCOURAGE OTHERS.  WE ALL ARE BLESSED AND CAN LET OTHERS KNOW ABOUT IT.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

"MINISTRY IN ACTION" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-02-19
"MINISTRY IN ACTION" BY ANDREW WOMMACK
Mk. 1:31, "And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them."

MT. 8:14-17; MK. 1:29-34; LK. 4:38-41

How did Peter's mother-in-law minister unto Jesus and His disciples? Did she sit them down and preach to them? Certainly not. Yet sometimes people think the only way we can minister to another is to admonish them with the scriptures.

Peter's mother-in-law apparently ministered to them by serving them. The word translated "minister" is the same word that was translated "deacon" twice in the New Testament, and "serve, served or serveth" eight times.

We can minister for the Lord by doing some of the menial tasks that many consider to be unimportant. Jesus said that even a cup of cold water given in His name would not go unrewarded (Matthew 10:42).

Many people are waiting for the important jobs to come along where they can make a big impact or receive a lot of recognition, while they pass by many lesser opportunities every day. But in the kingdom of God, we won't be given any great opportunities until we are proven faithful in the small things (Luke 16:10).

Today, ask the Lord to show you ways you can minister to others by serving them.

"JESUS SAYS TO HEAL THE SICK" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-02-18
"JESUS SAYS TO HEAL THE SICK" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

THE OTHER DAY I WROTE ABOUT HAVING FAITH TO HEAL THE SICK AND I HAVE A FEW MORE THOUGHT AND SCRIPTURES ON HEALING THAT I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU.  IN 1ST PETER 2:24 IT SAYS "by whose stripes ye were healed".  NOT GOING TO BE BUT "WERE" HEALED.  I HAVE HEARD PEOPLE LAUGH AT US "FAITH PEOPLE", AS THEY CALL US, AND SAY WE BELIEVE WE CAN JUST "NAME IT AND CLAIM IT".  WELL, IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY.  WE ARE "FAITH" PEOPLE AND FAITH IS WHAT IT TAKES TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN THE SPIRIT WORLD AND OUR CARNAL WORLD.  GOD IS A SPIRIT AND WE MUST WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH AND USE OUR FAITH TO RECEIVE THINGS HE HAS ALREADY DONE FOR US IN THE SPIRIT.  IF WE DON'T GET THEM, IT IS OUR OWN FAULT.  IT IS MORE A "BELIEVE IT AND RECEIVE IT" BECAUSE WE MUST BELIEVE WHEN WE PRAY.

IF YOU BELIEVE YOU HAVE RECEIVED WHEN YOU PRAY ABOUT YOUR HEALING, YOU CAN'T GO AROUND SAYING YOU ARE SICK.  IN THE FIRST PLACE, MOST PEOPLE DON'T CARE AND DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT.  IF SOMEONE STARTS TELLING ME HOW SICK THEY ARE, I ASK THEM IF I CAN PRAY FOR THEM RIGHT THERE.  YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED HOW MANY REFUSE.  THEY ARE TOO EMBARRASSED TO LET ME PRAY FOR THEM IN PUBLIC. THEY ARE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE THINK ABOUT THEM THAN WHAT GOD THINKS.  IF YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE HEALED, THEN ACT LIKE IT AND IF SOMEONE ASK HOW YOU ARE, TELL THEM YOU ARE HEALED IN THE NAME OF JESUS.  THAT IS WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS SO WHY NOT TELL PEOPLE THAT.

IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS SICK, GO TO THEM ASK IF YOU CAN PRAY FOR THEM. BETTER YET, ASK IF YOU CAN PRAY WITH THEM.  THEY HAVE A SAY IN THIS AND IF THEY ARE NOT BELIEVING THEN IT DOESN'T WORK.  AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE, SOME PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO GET WELL BECAUSE THEY ENJOY THE PITY THEY GET FROM PEOPLE.  THERE IS NOTING YOU CAN DO FOR THESE PEOPLE BUT TURN THEM OVER TO GOD.  HE WILL KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH THEM.  JUST BE OBEDIENT AND DO WHAT HE TELLS YOU TO DO, LAY HANDS ON THEM, HEAL THEM AND THANK JESUS FOR LETTING YOU USE HIS POWER TO HEAL.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

"DEMONS IN CHURCH" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-02-18
"DEMONS IN CHURCH" BY ANDREW WOMMACK
Mark 1:23, "And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out;...."

MK. 1:21-28; LK. 4:33-37

Many people don't associate demon possessed people with places of worship. Yet most of the demons that Jesus cast out were encountered in the church. Why would demon possessed people be in church?

In some cases, the people were there because they were seeking help. The church, like a hospital, offers people the cure and therefore, attracts those who are sick.

In other cases, the devil sows these types of people in the church to spread spiritual disease. A church that is teaching the true Word of God should either try to evangelize these individuals or make them so convicted that they move on. Sad to say, demon possessed people can thrive in most religious settings today.

We always need to show love for the sinner as Jesus did, but we should cut the devil no slack. If a person wants to keep an evil spirit on the inside of them, they should not feel at home in church.

Let the Spirit of God live through you as He did through Jesus and you will either make people mad or glad, but there will not be indifference.

"REALLY BELIEVING IN GOD'S WORD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-02-17
"REALLY BELIEVING IN GOD'S WORD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

WILL YOU AGREE WITH ME THAT OUR FINANCES WILL INCREASE AND WE WILL HAVE NO MORE MONEY PROBLEMS?  WILL YOU AGREE WITH ME THAT WE, AND OUR FAMILIES, WILL BE HEALTHY?  WILL YOU AGREE WITH ME THAT OUR CHILDREN WILL BE SAVED?

I AM SURE THAT SOME OF YOU ARE ASKING FOR ONE OR ALL OF THESE THINGS AND SO AM I.  I WILL AGREE WITH EVERYONE OF YOU FOR THESE.  I WILL DO THIS BECAUSE OF WHAT JESUS SAYS IN MATTHEW 18:19 WHICH IS "That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." IF THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE YOU ARE ASKING FOR, GET WITH YOUR SPOUSE OR PRAYER PARTNER AND AGREE THAT GOD WILL DO IT FOR YOU. THIS IS WHAT JESUS SAID AND AS YOU KNOW, HE DOESN'T LIE.

I DON'T TAKE HIS PROMISES LIGHTLY.  I KNOW HE IS FAITHFUL TO DO WHAT HE SAYS HE WILL DO AND WE HAVE TO BE FAITHFUL ALSO TO DO WHAT HE SAYS.  IT WORKS BOTH WAYS.  HE LOVES US AND DOES NOT WANT US TO BE WORRYING ABOUT, OR WANT, ANYTHING.  WE SHOULD BE DOING WHAT IT SAYS IN 1ST PETER 5:7 BY "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."  IF HE SAYS HE WILL TAKE CARE OF ALL THESE THINGS, THEN WHY WORRY?  TRUST, BELIEVE, HAVE FAITH, PRAISE HIM AND THANK HIM.  THAT IS ALL HE WANTS.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

"THE CHOSEN ONES" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-02-17
"THE CHOSEN ONES" BY ANDREW WOMMACK
Mark 1:16, "Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers."

MT. 4:13-22; MK. 1:16-20; LK. 5:27; JN. 5:38

Jesus never chose an apostle from among the religious system. Every one of his twelve disciples were men that He chose from the secular world. It wasn't because God didn't have faith in those who were religious. It's just that most of those who were part of the religious system didn't have any faith in God.

One of the most common mistakes religious people make is to put faith in themselves. They think God will use them because of their great holiness or special abilities.

Paul said, "But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, [yea], and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are" (1 Cor. 1:27-28).

People who recognize their own inabilities are of necessity more dependent on God. That is the way God wants it. The Lord is constantly searching for someone who recognizes they are nothing so He can do something through them (2 Ch. 16:9).

Instead of thinking of your responsibilities, just respond to His ability.
