HAVE YOU EVER HEARD THE PHRASE "STICKS AND STONES CAN BREAK MY BONES BUT WORDS CAN NEVER HURT ME"? THAT IS SUCH AN INCORRECT STATEMENT. HAS YOUR CHILD, OR EVEN A "SO CALLED" FRIEND, EVER TOLD YOU THAT THEY HATED YOU? DIDN'T THAT HURT? I KNOW I HAVE SAID THINGS TO PEOPLE THAT I WISHED, RIGHT THEN, THAT I COULD TAKE BACK BECAUSE I KNEW IT HURT THEM. FOR THIS REASON I HAVE STARTED WATCHING WHAT I SAY.

John 11:5 'Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.'

It is interesting to note that special mention is made of Jesus loving Martha. This is after the incident recorded in Luke 10:38-42 where Martha is caught up with serving instead of worshipping Jesus and her priorities are still not in order. Jesus was not rebuking Martha but rather exhorting her for her own profit. When the Lord deals with problem areas in our lives, it is always for our profit - not punishment and we should not take it as rejection. This is one way to discern God's correction from the devil's condemnation.

IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE WHO IS NOT BORN AGAIN, DON'T YOU THINK IT IS ABOUT TIME? LET ME ASK YOU THIS, HAVE YOU BEEN FEELING LIKE YOU NEED TO DO THIS BUT JUST CAN'T QUITE DO IT? DON'T LET THIS PASS BECAUSE GOD HAS TO DRAW YOU AND THAT IS JUST WHAT HE IS DOING SO DON'T LET IT SLIP AWAY. LOOK WHAT JESUS SAYS IN JOHN 6:44 "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." IS HE DRAWING YOU?????
The Measure Of Faith

There are many scriptures that speak of varying degrees of faith. However, the scriptures also speak of Jesus increasing in wisdom (Lk. 2:52) that certainly refers to His physical intellect drawing more and more on the perfect wisdom of God that was already in Him at birth. It is in this way that we also increase in faith.
At salvation, the believer is given the supernatural faith of God. We had to use the very faith of God (not human faith) to believe the gospel (Eph. 2:8).

Value Christ Higher Than Self

Self-denial is embraced by much of Christianity today. Historically, self-denial has always been a big part of false religion. Most religions of the world teach an abasement of self, but they do it as penitence in order to obtain salvation. This is not the denying of self that the Bible advocates.
True self-denial as the scriptures promote is not self hatred or masochism, but rather an enthroning of Christ above self. We have a new identity in Christ that replaces the old self. We don't deny self in order to obtain salvation,...
I BELIEVE THE BASIS FOR FORGIVENESS IS THE LOVE AND GRACE THAT GOD HAS FOR US. 1ST JOHN 4:19 SAYS "We love him, because he first loved us." ALSO, EPHESIANS 2:8 SAYS "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."

God takes the persecution of His children personally.
