"WILL YOU BELIEVE?" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-07-08

I KNOW I WRITE A LOT ABOUT BELIEVING BUT IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE BELIEVE IN GOD'S WORD.  I AM GOING TO LIST A FEW VERSES FROM THE GOSPELS TO SHOW YOU WHAT I MEAN.

MARK 9:23   Jesus said unto him, If thou canst  believe , all things are possible to him that believeth.

MARK 11:23   For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall  believe  that those things which he saith

"OUR LOVING FATHER" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Our Loving Father

July 8th

Luke 11:11 - 'If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?'

LUKE 11:11

The most loving Father in the world cannot compare to our heavenly Father and the love He has for us. And yet, many times, we find it easier to believe in the willingness of a father or mother or mate to help us than in the willingness of God to use His power on our behalf. Relatively few people really doubt God's ability, but rather, it is our doubt of His willingness to use His ability on our behalf that causes most people to do without. Jesus is assuring us that God's love, and His willingness to demonstrate...

"PRAYER POWER" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Prayer Power

July 7th

Luke 11:1 - 'And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, 'Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples'.'

LUKE 11:1

When you consider that Jesus was the greatest miracle worker who ever walked the earth and the greatest preacher who ever lived, it is amazing that His disciples asked Him to teach them to pray. Why didn't they ask Him to teach them how to work these miracles or how to preach and amaze the people with their doctrine?

It's because Jesus' prayer life was even more powerful than His miracles or His doctrine. Indeed, it was His union with the Father that gave Him His power to work...

"SALVATION, NOW AND FOREVER" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-07-07

I HAVE HEARD ALL MY LIFE, "ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED".  SOME MINISTERS SAID THAT IT WAS NOT TRUE WHILE OTHERS SAID THAT IT WAS.  WELL, WHEN I WAS NOT REALLY STUDYING THE BIBLE, I DID NOT KNOW.  I ALWAYS HOPED IT WAS TRUE BUT NO ONE COULD TELL ME FOR SURE.

FINALLY I GOT SMART AND WENT TO THE BIBLE AND STARTED STUDYING FOR MYSELF.  GUESS WHAT I FOUND......THE ANSWER, RIGHT IN GOD'S WORD.  READ IT FOR YOURSELF, "ROMANS 8:37-39 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of...

"USING MIRACLES IN MINISTRY" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-07-06

AT THE BEGINNING OF JESUS' MINISTRY, THE FIRST MIRACLES HE DID WAS THE CHANGING OF THE WATER TO WINE AT THE WEDDING IN CANA.  AFTER PEOPLE SAW THIS AND STARTED TELLING OTHER PEOPLE ABOUT IT, MANY PEOPLE STARTED FOLLOWING HIM TO SEE ALL THE MIRACLES HE WAS DOING AND MANY BELIEVED IN HIS NAME BECAUSE OF THE MIRACLES.

THE BIBLE SAYS IN JOHN 2:24 THAT "Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,"  HE DIDN'T WANT PEOPLE TRYING TO SPREAD HIS MESSAGE THAT REALLY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HIS MESSAGE WAS.  THEY HAD SEEN THE MIRACLES AND BELIEVED BECAUSE OF THEM.  WE MUST BE SURE THAT THE PEOPLE THAT ARE DRAWN TO US BY THE MIRACLES THAT JESUS DOES ON OUR BEHALF ARE ALSO REALLY TAUGHT THE WORD OF GOD.  I THINK THIS SHOWS THAT JESUS IS INTERESTED IN...

Seek First The Kingdom

July 6th

Luke 10:40 - 'But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord dost thou not   care   that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.'

LUKE 10:40

There are only three instances in Scripture that give us information about Martha. From these accounts, we can see that Martha had a brother named Lazarus, whom Jesus raised from the dead, and a sister named Mary. Martha had misplaced her priorities on this occasion and was corrected by Jesus. Later, at a supper for Jesus in...

"WHO CROSSES YOUR PATH?" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Who Crosses Your Path?

July 5th

Luke 10:29 - 'But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor?'

LUKE 10:29

This question of 'who is my neighbour' can be used by Satan to deceive us in more than one way. Not only can he deceive men into thinking they have fulfilled the command to 'love thy neighbor as thyself' when they haven't, but he will also try to apply this command in a way that condemns those who are seeking to fulfill it, by making them think they are not doing enough.

We cannot meet the needs of every single person in the world. Jesus wasn't teaching that. This wounded man was directly in the path of these three men. The priest and the Levite had to walk around...

"THE DAY OF SALVATION" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-07-05

DID YOU KNOW THAT EVERY DAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION?  IT SAYS THIS IN 2ND CORINTHIANS 6:2 For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.  THE REASON I SAY THAT EVERY DAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION IS THAT IF YOU READ THIS VERSE EVERY DAY, THEN EVERY DAY WILL BE THE DAY OF SALVATION AND IT SHOULD BE. WE ALL SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WE CAN BRING TO JESUS EVERY DAY.

WE CAN'T JUST SIT IN OUR PRAYER ROOM AND PRAY AND THINK THAT THE LORD IS GOING TO SAVE SOMEONE.  IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY.  ROMANS...

"SAVED BY GRACE" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Saved By Grace

July 4th

Luke 10:28-29 - 'And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?'

LUKE 10:28

Just as with this lawyer, pride causes many people to resist the truth of justification by faith in the grace of God. This lawyer loved himself and the public recognition his 'holy acts' gave him. He was not willing to love God first and his fellow man ahead of himself. His was not a sincere question but rather an evasive question to shun responsibility. This man was seeking to be justified in the sight of God through his actions. He knew he had not loved everyone as he loved himself, so he is tried...

"ALL SIN HAS BEEN FORGIVEN" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-07-04

I AM SURE THAT MOST OF YOU KNOW THIS BUT IT IS IMPORTANT TO TELL THE LOST.  A LOT OF THEM THINK THEIR SINS ARE TOO GREAT FOR JESUS TO FORGIVE.  THEY NEED TO KNOW THAT THEIR SINS ARE ALREADY FORGIVEN.  ALL THEY NEED TO DO IS RECEIVE JESUS AS THEIR SAVIOR BUT YOU JUST MIGHT HAVE TO TELL THEM HOW BECAUSE THEY MIGHT NOW KNOW.

IN 1ST JOHN 2:2, IT SAYS THAT JESUS IS THE PROPITIATION FOR ALL SIN, (And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.)  IF YOU ARE SAVED, YOUR SINS ARE NOT BEING IMPUTED TO YOU BECAUSE YOUR SINS HAVE BEEN PAID FOR.  SEE WHAT IT SAYS IN 2ND CORINTHIANS 5:18-19 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to...
