"BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Luke 24:49 "And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."



This filling of the Holy Ghost is subsequent to the born-again experience.

Paul reveals in Rom. 10:9, that a person has to confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that Jesus was raised from the dead, before he can be saved.

It is possible to be saved, yet not have what Jesus said was the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Since the Holy Spirit is now given freely and we don't have to tarry for His coming, we can receive salvation and the baptism of the Holy Spirit at the same time. However, it is not automatic. We must ask and believe for the baptism of the Holy Ghost, just as we believed for salvation.

ARE YOU BROKEN HEARTED?  HAS SOMEONE YOU LOVE DONE SOMETHING THAT REALLY HURT YOU AND YOU NEVER WANT TO SEE THEM AGAIN OR EVEN TALK TO THEM?  IF THIS HASN'T HAPPENED TO YOU, IT COULD.  WHAT YOU DO IF THIS HAPPENS IS GOING TO BE YOUR CHOICE.  YOU CAN HATE THEM FOR IT OR YOU CAN FORGIVE THEM.  EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES BUT YOUR FORGIVING THEM WILL BE MUCH BETTER FOR THE BOTH OF YOU.  HOWEVER, ONCE YOU FORGIVE THEM, IT HAS TO BE FORGOTTEN AND NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN.


PEOPLE ARE STRANGE CREATURES AND DO THINGS WITHOUT THINKING OF THE OUTCOME.  THIS IS SOMETHING WE MUST STOP OURSELVES FROM DOING.  I KNOW WE ARE SOMETIMES TEMPTED TO DO BAD THINGS OR SAY BAD THINGS ABOUT SOMEONE WHO HURTS US BUT LOOK WHAT ROMANS 12:2 SAYS "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."  WE HAVE TO RENEW...

"THE TRUE MEANING OF THE SABBATH" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

John 19:31 "The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away."



The Sabbath was first mentioned in scripture in Exodus 16, when the Lord miraculously provided manna to the children of Israel in the wilderness. The Israelites were commanded to gather twice as much manna on the sixth day because God would not provide any on the seventh day (Ex. 16:5, 22-30).

Shortly after this, the Lord commanded the observance of the Sabbath day in the ten commandments that were given to Moses on two tablets of stone on Mt. Sinai (Ex. 20:8-11). In this command, God connected the Sabbath day with the rest He took on the seventh day of creation.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN ALL OF GOD'S PROMISES?  THE DICTIONARY SAYS THAT A PROMISE IS "A declaration assuring that one will or will not do something; a vow."  I ALSO LOOKED UP THE WORD VOW AND IT SAID "An earnest promise to perform a specified act."  2ND CORINTHIANS 1:20 SAYS "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."  NOW FROM THAT, IT LOOKS LIKE WE ALL SHOULD BELIEVE IN THESE PROMISES.

"DEATH HAS LOST ITS POWER" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Matthew 27:52 "And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,"



This is an amazing event that only Matthew records. This earthquake apparently rolled the stones away from many of the graves in the vicinity of Jerusalem, and some of the saints buried there arose from the dead. Even at the death of Jesus, such power was released that death lost its grip on its captives.

It is uncertain whether these resurrected saints died again or were caught up to God. If they were resurrected at Christ's death, then they would have had to die again, just as Lazarus or Jairus' daughter or the widow's son at Nain or anyone else that Jesus raised from the dead during His ministry. This is because Jesus was, "the firstfruits of them that slept" (Acts 26:23; 1 Cor. 15:20). Jesus was not the first person physically raised from the dead, but He was the first person...
