"ARE YOU REJOICING?" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

ARE YOU REJOICING?

ARE YOU BEING PERSECUTED FOR BELIEVING IN AND SHARING JESUS WITH OTHERS? PERSECUTION IS BEING HARASSED OR OPPRESSED, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE OF YOUR BELIEF IN JESUS. IF YOU ARE BEING PERSECUTED, LOOK WHAT JESUS TELLS US TO DO IN MATTHEW 5:12 WHEN HE SAYS "Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." OUR BELIEF IN HIM WILL BE REWARDED FAR GREATER THAN ANY SUFFERING WE MIGHT ENCOUNTER.

"GOD LIKES US" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

God Likes Us

Matthew 18:14 'Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.'

MATTHEW 18:12-14

One of the greatest truths of the Bible and also one of the hardest to comprehend, is that we are the objects of God's love. God didn't just pity us or feel some sense of moral obligation to save us. He saved us because of His infinite love for us (Jn. 3:16).

God loves people. He even loves those who have gone astray. As Jesus said in a similar parable (Lk. 15:7), 'I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.'

Once we experience the life-changing power of Christ,...

"WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?

DO YOU THINK WATCHING A MOVIE IS A SIN? LET'S LOOK AT SOME SCRIPTURE THAT MIGHT ENLIGHTEN US. 1ST CORINTHIANS 10:23 SAYS "All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not." AND VERSE 31 "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." I GUESS THE QUESTION SHOULD BE, DO THE MOVIES YOU WATCH BRING GLORY TO GOD?

THAT BRINGS US TO...

"ANGELIC PROTECTION" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Angelic Protection

Matthew 18:10 'Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.'

MATTHEW 18:10-11

We have angels assigned to us. Hebrews 1:14 further reveals that their purpose is to minister to us (i.e. on our behalf). In the Old Testament, Psalm 91 teaches on the ministry of angels to God's people.

Some have realized this truth and have taken it even further to say that we are supposed to speak to our angels and they will obey our commands. There is no instruction in scripture to do this nor is there any example of it being done. Many of the angels' protective duties described in Psalm 91 are preventative, and we...

AGREEING TOGETHER

IN PRAYING THIS MORNING FOR OUR CHILDREN IN THE ARMED FORCES, THE VERSE MATTHEW 18:19 CAME TO MIND WHERE JESUS SAYS "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven."

I HAVE MENTIONED THIS BEFORE IN TALKING ABOUT GETTING A PRAYER PARTNER TO PRAY WITH EVERY DAY. IT CAN BE YOUR SPOUSE, A RELATIVE, OR A FRIEND. YOU DON'T HAVE...

YOU CAN DEPEND ON THE WORD OF GOD

IS GOD'S WORD NOT WORKING IN YOUR LIFE. WHEN I SAY "GOD'S WORD" I AM TALKING ABOUT BEING HEALTHY, HAVING YOUR NEEDS MET, BEING HAPPY, ETC. JESUS SAYS IF WE ASK IN HIS NAME AND HAVE FAITH TO BELIEVE, HIS FATHER WILL GIVE IT TO US. IT SHOULD BE WORKING IN ALL OF OUR LIVES TO PRODUCE ALL GOD'S PROMISES BUT WE HAVE TO BE WALKING IN GOD'S WILL.

"HUMILITY BEFORE HONOR" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Humility Before Honor

Matthew 18:4 'Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.'

MATTHEW 18:1-5; MARK 9:30-37; LUKE 9:46-48

It is interesting that Jesus used a little child to illustrate humility. Although it is true that little children have a purity and humility that is many times missing in adults, they certainly are not selfless. A child comes into the world totally self-centered, wanting what he wants when he wants it. Parents are to train children out of this self-centeredness.

One of humility's dominant characteristics is a God-dependency and not a self-sufficiency. The truth of humility being the key to greatness or success was not new. Jesus gave this...

"DO YOU EVER WONDER?" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

DO YOU EVER WONDER?

I OFTEN WONDERED WHY THE JEWISH PEOPLE, WITH ALL OF THE PROPHECIES IN THE OLD TESTAMENT, DIDN'T SEE THAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT JESUS, THE MESSIAH. SOME PEOPLE DON'T REALIZE THAT THE PSALMS WERE WRITTEN BY SEVERAL DIFFERENT WRITERS. THEY WERE WRITTEN DURING A PERIOD OF ABOUT A THOUSAND YEARS FROM THE TIME OF MOSES, ABOUT 1,500 B.C., TO THE TIME OF EZRA, ABOUT 45O B.C., MOSES ACTUALLY WROTE ONE OF THE PSALMS, PSALM 90. IT IS BELIEVED THAT EZRA WAS THE ONE THAT BROUGHT ALL THE PSALMS TOGETHER INTO ONE BOOK. THESE PROPHECIES WERE MADE HUNDREDS OF YEARS BEFORE JESUS WAS EVEN BORN. I HAVE LISTED A FEW OF THEM...

"ONE HUNDDRED TIMES ZERO" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

One Hundred Times Zero

Matthew 17:27 'Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money; that take, and give unto them for me and thee.'

MATTHEW 17:24-27

This was quite a miracle. Not only was the money supplied for their taxes, but it was the exact amount needed, and it was from the first fish that was caught.

Although this sets the precedent that God can supply our needs in a miraculous way, it's important to remember that God doesn't counterfeit money. He didn't create money in the fish, but rather he had the fish miraculously find and swallow the exact Roman coin that Peter needed....

"HAVE FAITH, NOT FEAR" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

HAVE FAITH, NOT FEAR

I KNOW THERE IS A LOT OF GARBAGE GOING AROUND ON HOW BAD THINGS ARE AND IT SEEMS TO STIR UP A LOT OF FEAR IN SOME PEOPLE. WELL, LET ME TELL YOU SOME THINGS ABOUT FEAR. 1ST JOHN 4:18 SAYS "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." FEAR IS A TOOL THE DEVIL USES TO GET YOUR MINDS OFF OF JESUS. WE JUST HAVE TO TRUST IN JESUS TO KEEP US AND OUR FAMILY SAFE.
