"Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, this cup is the new testement in my blood, which is shed for you." Luke 22:20

God has said, "All we like sheep have gone astray" "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." For this cause Jesus has given his life through the shedding of His blood, as we read in Hebrews 9:22 "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without the shedding of blood there is no remission." Jesus shed his blood that our sins would be forgiven. He shed His blood for you and for me! The New Testement or new way of making things right with God allows us to receive God's son, Jesus, who shed His blood for us. In the Old Testement, once a year the blood of an unblemished  lamb was used to pay for our sins, however, this had to change because it was not enough to remove our sins from our conscience, only through the blood of God's son, Jesus Christ, can our sins be washed away. They are no longer remembered and they are cast away once for all! Jesus makes all things perfect. Jesus did for us what we could not do for ourselves. Through Jesus' shed blood we now can live out a fully restored relationship with God.

It doesn't matter what people think, say, or do towards you, if you have received Jesus and have confessed your sins to Him,  your sins are forgiven, never to be remembered again. None of your works or anyone's works could ever accomplish this forgiveness, only Jesus and His shed blood can make you whole again!
