LORD, I NEED YOUR WISDOM & STRENGTH RIGHT NOW!
Are you facing a situation in your life where you desperately need wisdom? You simply do not know what to do or where to turn for help. Or do feel as though you lack the strength to get you through the many trials that you are presently encountering? You feel so weary from the many attacks that are coming your way. This message is for you. May God uplift you through His Holy Word.
Deuteronomy 29:29 says - "The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever..."
There are many hidden things in nature, Providence, or in our relation to God Himself which belong to Him. They are known to Him alone. Some pertain to the future events - what should come to pass hereafter.
Barnes' Notes explains it in this way - "The future, when and how these good and evil things will take effect, it lies with the Lord our God to determine; it pertains not to man's sphere and duty. God's revealed will is that which we must carry out."
Romans 11:33 enforces this idea - "...how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!"
Such questions as - "Why would God do such a thing...Why did He not do it this way...what does He intend to accomplish by using this means or pathway..." oftentimes cannot be answered - in order to quiet man's mind or satisfy his conscience. The answers are hidden in the secret counsels of the Lord's will.
However, as we move over to the Book of Daniel in our study, we find great encouragement in Daniel 2:22 which reads as follows - "He revealeth the deep and secret things..."

Daniel 2:22 adds - "He revealeth the deep and secret things..."
Deuteronomy 29:29 concludes with - "...but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever..."
Yes, there are "deep and secret things" which are hidden from the eyes of the living. These include the purposes of God's heart...the deep things of God....and the secrets that belong to Him alone - things which are too profound for man to fathom by his own power and require a supernatural influence.
God and God alone knows what these "secret things" are for Daniel 2:22 goes on to say - "...He knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with Him." Man does not know the deep truths nor does he know what lies in the future. He cannot read the thoughts and intents of men's hearts. He does not know what is in the darkness nor can he see all that is done in darkness. However, God knows all things for He is omniscient and omnipresent. He is the True Light Himself... the Father of Lights...the Light of the world... the Light of the Glorious Gospel...and the One from Whom the light of nature, grace, and glory flows. Light abides with Him...it goes from Him...it is all about Him... and He is in the midst of it.
Daniel 2:20 says of the Lord God - "...for wisdom and might are His." He is the source or fountain of both. He has infinite wisdom to design, contrive, or form the schemes of things - especially when all human wisdom fails - and has infinite power for their execution and accomplishment. He is able to impart wisdom and strength to any man, woman, boy, or girl - wisdom which is far superior to natural human ability.
Daniel 2:21 confirms this argument with this word - "...He giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding." In other words, He gives clearness of perception... fixes the mind on important matters...offers life-changing counsel...aids with powerful associations...and opens up new and interesting views of truth.
At this moment in time - what does this message have to do with you? Do you need wisdom and power beyond human ability?
Have you tried every conceivable source of help and still find yourself at a loss for direction?
Let these Scriptural truths sink deep into your spirit.
"The secret things belong unto the LORD our God..."
"He revealeth the deep and secret things..."
"...but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever..."
"...He knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with Him."
"...for wisdom and might are His."
"...He giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding."
What you need today may be hidden from you, but it is not hidden from God. He sees in the darkness as easily as He does in the light. "The darkness and the light are both alike to Him" (Psalm 139:12). He is the source of "wisdom and might." What you need can only be found in Him - not in any other.
It's His desire to "reveal the deep and secret things" that you need to overcome the enemy...win the battle over fear, anxiety, worry, and stress...be delivered from the snare that has had you trapped for a long time... move ahead in the Spirit...receive the promotion that you rightfully deserve...move out of the place of defeat into the place of great victory...and inherit your promised inheritance.
God promises in His Word - "...He giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding." Who are the "wise" or the ones "that know understanding"? They are the ones who have enough Holy Ghost sense to "trust in the LORD with all their heart; and lean not unto their own understanding. In all their ways, they acknowledge Him..." (Proverbs 3:5-6). They are the ones who reach out to Him in total confidence and childlike faith. And God meets them each and every time.
Can you be sure of it happening for you?
Look what the Prophet Daniel had to say after looking alone to the Lord God of Israel for help in time of trouble - "I thank Thee, and praise Thee, O Thou God of my fathers, Who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of Thee: for Thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter" (Daniel 2:23).
Perhaps you are facing a situation just as grave as Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
Look to the Lord God for your answer. "Wisdom and might are His."
Remember - "The secret things belong unto the LORD our God..." But our God is a God Who "reveals" and "gives." "He revealeth the deep and secret things..." "...He giveth wisdom...and knowledge..."
Simply trust Him to do that for you today.
