JESUS SAYS "LEARN OF ME".
I KNOW I AM CONSTANTLY TALKING ABOUT READING AND STUDYING THE BIBLE AND WHEN I CAME ACROSS THE FOLLOWING VERSE, I WANTED TO SHARE IT WITH YOU. EPHESIANS 5: 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
I LOOKED UP THE WORD "VAIN" TO GET A CLEAR PICTURE OF WHAT IT REALLY MEANS AND FOUND THIS: "Empty; worthless; having no substance, value or importance. THIS IS WHAT PAUL WAS TALKING ABOUT IN VERSE 6, NOT LETTING ANYONE DECEIVE YOU. THERE ARE A LOT OF FALSE TEACHERS AND PREACHERS OUT THERE DECEIVING PEOPLE WITH VAIN WORDS. THIS IS WHY WE HAVE TO KNOW WHAT IS IN GOD'S WORD BECAUSE HE ALSO SAYS "5For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. THE BIBLE IS THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW.
JESUS SAID IN MATTHEW 11:28-30 TO "28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. ARE YOU LEARNING ABOUT HIM? AS MUCH AS I STUDY, I LEARN MORE ABOUT HIM EVERY DAY. JOHN PUT IT THIS WAY IN 21:25 "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written." I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO LEARNING ALL THESE THINGS WHEN I GET TO HEAVEN...HOW ABOUT YOU?
IF YOU DON'T HAVE A NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION, WHY DON'T YOU MAKE IT READING ONE CHAPTER OF THE BIBLE A DAY. I KNOW WHEN YOU START DOING THIS, YOU WON'T JUST BE READING IT BUT YOU WILL START STUDYING IT. IT IS VERY INTERESTING AND THERE WILL BE SOME DAYS YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO READ THE NEXT CHAPTER TO SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING. THE GOOD THING IS THAT YOU WILL START LEARNING ABOUT JESUS AND FINDING OUT WHAT POWER HE HAS GIVEN US IN HIS NAME. THIS WILL BE THE BEST RESOLUTION YOU HAVE EVER MADE AND ONE OF THE MOST BENEFICIAL ONES. JUST TRY IT.
