I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

PRAISE GOD FOR PERSECUTION !
ARE YOU NOW, OR HAVE YOU EVER, BEEN PERSECUTED BECAUSE OF YOUR LOVE FOR JESUS? GOOD...REJOICE...BE GLAD...PRAY THAT IT WILL CONTINUE. DO YOU THINK I AM NUTS FOR SAYING ALL THIS? LOOK WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS...(MATTHEW 5: Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.) NOW YOU SEE WHY I CAN SAY THIS.
IF YOU ARE NOT BEING PERSECUTED, MAYBE YOU SHOULD BE A LITTLE MORE OUTGOING IN SHARING THE LOVE OF JESUS. SURE SOME PEOPLE WILL CALL YOU A JESUS FREAK BUT THEY CAN CALL ME THAT ALL THEY WANT TO BECAUSE IT'S TRUE. IT JUST GIVES ME MORE FUEL FOR THE FIRE. NOW DON'T GET ME WRONG, YOU CAN'T JUST GO OUT AND BE OBNOXIOUS WITH THE WORD OF GOD. YOU HAVE TO SHOW LOVE IN ALL YOU DO AND IT IS THAT LOVE THAT BRINGS PEOPLE TO JESUS. JUST LET THEM KNOW HOW YOU STAND AND DON'T COMPROMISE.
>WHEN YOU ARE BEING PERSECUTED, JESUS IS ALSO BEING PERSECUTED. LOOK WHAT HE SAYS TO SAUL (JESUS CHANGED HIS NAME TO PAUL). (ACTS 9:4And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?) SAUL WAS ACTUALLY PERSECUTING THE JEWS BUT WHEN GOD'S KIDS ARE IN TROUBLE, HE COMES TO THEIR RESCUE. THIS WAS A BIG CHANGE FOR PAUL. IT REALLY MUST HAVE BEEN BECAUSE HE WENT ON TO WRITE ABOUT HALF OF THE NEW TESTAMENT. PRAISE GOD THAT HE WAS DOING THE PERSECUTING AT THAT TIME. GOD USED HIM IN A BIG WAY.
DO YOU WANT GOD TO USE YOU IN A BIG WAY? I KNOW I DO AND I KNOW I HAVE TO DO MY PART TO GET READY. WE HAVE TO STAY IN HIS WORD OTHERWISE HOW WILL WE KNOW WHAT TO TEACH OR HOW TO SHARE THE MESSAGE JESUS WANTS US TO SHARE WITH THE WHOLE WORLD. YOU CAN'T SHARE SOMETHING YOU DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT. GET INTO HIS WORD AND STAY IN IT AND FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM. IT IS A GREAT FEELING TO TALK TO HIM AND A GREATER FEELING TO HEAR WHAT HE SAYS. HE WILL TALK TO YOU, IF YOU WILL ONLY LISTEN.

Some Christians in China have expressed how persecution has strengthened and purified them. They have developed spiritual power, which is sadly lacking in some other places.
Western countries, especially America, have become soft and powerless in the watered down form of Christianity they practice. Materialism is rampant and creature comforts lull believers into a self sufficient sleep walk.
A local Pastor here in Canada, expressed how he longs to go to Kenya on a Missionary trip this summer. He knows that belief there is fervent and miracles thrive in the atmosphere of faith. By contrast, his local congregation does not experience miracles, no matter what he says or does to try and rouse their faith.
Wealth and ease have removed many of the trials that are faced elsewhere, which can be very detrimental to spiritual growth. Pray for us in wealthy Western countries - we are the mission field, and the developing world has the true gold.
1 Peter 1:7 - These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS. YOU ARE SO RIGHT ABOUT WEALTH AND EASE REMOVING THE TRIALS WE FACE. I TRY TO GET THE MESSAGE OUT THAT PEOPLE HAVE TO BE CONTINUE TO BE STRONG IN THEIR FAITH.
A LOT OF PEOPLE SHOULD MAKE ONE TRIP TO AFRICA AND JUST SEE HOW THESE CHILDREN LIVE. I BELIEVE THE SUPPORT WOULD COME FLOWING IN AND THAT IS WHY I PUT SO MANY PICTURES ON MY FACEBOOK PAGE. I WANT PEOPLE TO SEE THESE KIDS AND WHAT THEY HAVE TO GO THROUGH EVERY DAY.
