YOU'RE NOT ALONE IN PERSECUTION

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2012-11-30

YOU'RE NOT ALONE IN PERSECUTION

Luke 23:11 "And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate."

LUKE 23:11

All of Christ's sufferings did not end when He finished His earthly ministry.

He still takes the persecution of His people personally as is revealed by His statement to Saul on the...

CONSIDER IT PURE JOY

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2012-11-30

According to 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Temptations can also be a form of trail from God, if we fall we will suffer eventually. But God allows these things to happen not to hurt us purposely but to teach us and make us stronger. Which is why Apostle James wrote: Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks...

PILATE VIOLATES THE TRUTH

PILATE VIOLATES THE TRUTH

Matthew 27:17 "Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, 'Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ'"?

MATTHEW 27:17

Although Pilate knew that Jesus was innocent, he looked for some diplomatic way to release Jesus that would not cause him to lose popularity with the Jewish leaders. This is why he sent Jesus to...

RELIGIOUS PRIDE BRINGS DISSENSION

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2012-12-02

RELIGIOUS PRIDE BRINGS DISSENSION

Mark 15:10 "For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy."

MARK 15:10

The Jews were God's chosen people and therefore, God's representatives on earth. Yet, they lied and condemned an innocent man to death. Pilate could see that their real motivation for wanting Jesus dead was envy. They were doing all their religious works to be seen of men, and were...

ONE IN SPIRIT

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2012-12-03

FROM ANDREW WOMMACK MINISTRIES

ONE IN SPIRIT

Matthew 27:18 "For he knew that for envy they had delivered him."

MATTHEW 27:18

Many problems arise from envy. James said, "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work" (Jas. 3:16). Envy and strife go hand in hand and open the door to the devil to do anything he desires, in our life. Some people would never give place to the devil through confessing the wrong...

PILATE CONDEMNS JESUS

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2012-12-04

FROM ANDREW WOMMACK MINISTRIES

PILATE CONDEMNS JESUS

Matthew 27:24 "When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it."

MATTHEW 27:24

This washing of the hands was not only a symbolic custom of the day that showed innocence, but was also a ritual prescribed in the Jewish law...

The Word Became Flesh

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2012-12-04

FROM ANDREW WOMMACK MINISTRIES

The Word Became Flesh

When God speaks, His words are binding—they’re like an unbreakable contract. He always says exactly what He means, He never lies, and He never says, “Whoops, I’ve changed My mind.”
Hebrews 1:3 says, “Upholding all things by the word of his power,” and Psalm 89:34 says, “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.”
This entire universe is being held together by the power of God’s words. It was His word that created the earth and every living thing on it, and by His words, He...

JESUS FREED US FROM SIN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2012-12-05

JESUS FREED US FROM SIN

Luke 23:18 "And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:"

LUKE 23:18

What happened to Barabbas is a picture of what happens when a person is born again. Barabbas was guilty; Jesus was innocent. Yet Jesus suffered the death that Barabbas should have experienced, and Barabbas went free.

Likewise, we...
