Winning!
Winning…..it cures all! It will bring 40k fans to a stadium, create a buzz among the fan base and heck even have fans calling into the local sports talk shows speaking about World Series! 10-3 and 1st place…not a bad start!
Now, lets all calm down and get back to reality. Yes, what a great run this team is on. Harvey/Degrom strike fear into any opponent and this team should not have too many long losing streaks due to their starting pitching. That is a recipe for success.
What concerns me is the injuries and how they will respond, so far so good. But they have a history of saying an injury will be 2 weeks and it turns into 2-3 months. This team cannot sustain a long absence of David Wright and Travis. I am really looking forward to seeing what Pawlecki will do and think now is the time for him to step up and perhaps they will be inline for a massive trade to get the chips they need for this year come July 31st.
I, David Abish , am really enjoying this season so far and hope it continues. I still have Jon Neise in my sights, this is his time to shine or we need to dump his butt and move on. I’ve had i with him.
They need to find another bullpen arm (lefty) with the Blevins injury and I think Gee really is on his last legs with this club, he better win on Wednesday and start building up his value.
Terry has pushed all the right buttons and the only Wally Backman talk we hear is him being the Marlins Manager!
LETS GO METS!!!
