A Project to be Proud of:  "The Sound of Hope"

You know, I like Folk music, Country Gospel, Old fashion rock and roll with a Gospel flavour to it, and yes I even like the Gaithers Gathering's  and singing the old Gospels. It has been almost a year since Ken asked me to choose 13 songs from the Indie Gospel Artists inventory for a neat project, "Project:HOPE".

I figured it would take a couple of weeks to put it together, it took a week.  This was back in Nov 2012.  when the songs were chosen and put in order I played it through with the focus of continuity.

Then I sent the trial product to Ken to see what he felt, and then to Ed Petersen. WE were all in agreement, what a beautiful project, we felt the Lord was in it. HUH?  Ain't  that a kick? Now what does JB mean by that?  Well, Actually its pretty simple. IGA has a membership of 971 ...All Members (971) of which 222 are actual songwriters with songs on a player within the website. So that's 971 that say they are followers of Jesus Christ.  Now it's one thing to listen to a TV Evangelist and say "WE need to send him a few dollars in support" To me, I need to know them better before I do that. In this case, I do know Indie Gospel Artists and their mission. I have known Ken for almost 4 years and sure we have our disagreements but when it comes down to the mission of this ministry you will get  no argument from me - especially on "The Sound of Hope" project.

I think I was the first one to order a Downloadable copy of " The Sound of Hope" and it is great! and that is why I am writing to you now. You know how you will purchase an album, listen to it once or twice and it gets stuck in a pile of CD's never to be pulled out again? not so with "The Sound of Hope". I put it on and just sat back and listened to it from Laurie Marks Vincent to Ed Petersen. Guys this is not a profit venture for the Artists, royalties are waived for 25,000 copies. No this is a project of the Lord and it's that view I see and I don't want him to be ashamed of me for not spending a few bucks on a CD that will help the Kids.  Think of it this way ... instead of going out to dinner and spending $20 you only need to spend $15 and its Tax deductible! Besides, I think the Lord might smile upon us  ,,,, just a bit ... You know?
