Back in the 2000's I was a Praise and Worship Leader for a Worship Team. I was single and The Lord had blessed me with a nice 2000 Toyota 4Runner. The Praise Team  were a husband and wife who played and sang, they were friends with their neighbor and she was just beginning to ask questions about Jesus and Christianity.  She was a fan of Kenny Loggins and I was living in Santa Rosa, CA. I asked her for a date to take her to dinner and see Kenny Loggins in concert.  To my surprise she said 'Yes'.  She had always wanted to see him in concert. The big day came and we went to dinner and then to the concert. Our seats were just to the right of center about 8 rows from the stage. Perfect ... close enough for us to see clearly, see all the activity in the concert. The guys were great, but I am getting ahead of myself. We got there early. She kept asking me to see If I could get an autograph from him. So, I went to the Stage Door, but no luck.. they don't allow people back there unless they were with the promoter or radio station.  So I went back to the seat and explained to her why I couldn't get his autograph. Then the Lord put on my heart something that was really weird, especially for a newbie. I had to tell, her, "If the Lord would want you to have an autograph from Kenny, He will make a way".  The Concert was great, and when we got back to her place, her teenage son and daughter were there waiting for us to return. It was a great nite.. I begged off and went home.

The next morning I went to work. I worked at the County Airport and I managed the Parking Facilities there. AS I was in the kiosk, I saw a white 9 passenger van pull up right in front of the Terminal and Restaurant. Standing there, I saw the Sax player from the night before get out, Whoa! Its Kenny and the band!. As they were dis-embarking out of the van, I moved over to them and approached them and said, "You guys were great last night! and to the Sax player I said, "and you play a mean Sax".  They all  gathered around me and started asking questions about how I liked the concert and stuff. It was a neat conversation. And Kenny was just as easy going.  I had an idea. Why not get Kenny to do a quick interview with our location Radio Station who put on the show, I knew the Program Director and DJ who was the Master of Ceremonies. So I called her up at the station and she said, she would love to interview him on the phone. So I worked it out that after their breakfast, Kenny would stop by the Kiosk and talk to the DJ on the air live!..

IN the meantime, I called up my date from the nite before and told her that Kenny was here at the airport and that she had about 15 minutes to get here if she wanted to see him. She was there in 10 with brush in hand. As I saw the guys getting ready to leave from eating breakfast, I walked up to Kenny and told him that I had the Radio DJ on the line Live on the Radio for him and he took the phone and gave a great interview that just totally blew away the Radio people. And there was my date chomping at the bit, about 20 feet away from Kenny as he gave the interview. After he hung up he smiled and thanked me because Santa Rosa was one of the best concerts he had given in a while, it was perfect from the entertainer's point of view. and then he saw my date. And asked who she was. I told him, "she was my date from last night, and she wanted to get your autograph but there was noway to get through security".  He smiled and walked over to her, and asked how she liked the concert and posed for a couple of pictures with her. All I could see in the camera was this smile on her face from ear to ear!  Not only did she get the autograph, she got the picture with Kenny Loggins and a big hug from him!  After he left to board their private plane, the Lord reminded me of what HE asked me to say to her the nite before. "If HE wanted her to have an autograph from Kenny, He's work it out!" ...  AS she stood there by her car before she left to go back home , she started to think back on the nite and day's activity. And all of sudden her eyes lit up in total amazement! ... I started snickering.... She gasped, "I guess the Lord wanted me to have an autograph of Kenny, and a picture too!" .... we started laughing!  Yep, that day the Lord proved Himself to a lady who was seeking him and wanted to know if HE was real.   Yep, Jesus is Real, and Jesus is not only yesterday, and is tomorrow, but he is TODAY!  In the Now.  He is just waiting to show you that HE has you in his heart.

And that's How the Lord taught a newbie about Faith and Trust in God.  Ain't He just Cool?
