WE have a new #1 ... Congratulations to John and Rebecca Tatum for "Father Are You Listening"  In just 6 weeks it made #1. There are a couple of Good Honorable Mentions and a Bullet Song by Jessica Elam. And those a great stories but there is one other story that seems to be developing. When I first heard this song I thought "Yeah, this is a good solid song, easy going, I thought it would be a good seasonal song for the Christmas Season"  never intending the song to really do anything. But I got a shock.. it just kept inching its way up to #1. But thats still not the story. The story is most songs last but 6 weeks on the chart. In go up a bit and go down and off in 6 weeks.. Yep a month and half of being out there on the chart, exposed for all to hear. So if a song lasts longer than that, its doin' something... "An Angel Came To Our House" is in that Category. In its 10th week its still in the middle of the pack. and so this I thought I would also pop in the two songs that hold the record for the "Longest Running Song" of the year."Jesus is the Rock" and "Holy Ghost Power Fall On Me" What a Run these three songs have done  ... What a super blessing from Barry and Teena, Jessica Patrick Elam and now, Ed Pettersen.   Wow!  My favorite saying is , "Let's Raise the Bar" and do better in our songs for the Lord.  Well, here at Indie Gospel it seems that we are doing just that.
