Personal bible study seven chapters from Matthew
Personal bible study seven chapters from Matthew
Here are seven chapters from the gospel of Matthew. Every one of them have powerful things to say to the people to apply to their lives, and the teaching is done largely by none other by Jesus Himself, in both lectures and parables. He speaks of many things including the end times.
In Matthew chapter 6 Jesus gives instructions on how to give to the poor, how to pray with a sample prayer, and even how to fast, doing all to God and hidden to man. We are to lay up treasures in heaven, not earth, serving God not money and to trust God for all things and take things one day at a time for the current day has enough to deal with without thinking on the future
(Matthew 6:1) "Take care not to be doing your charitable giving before men, so as to be seen by them. Otherwise, you have not a reward from your Father in heaven.
(Matthew 6:2) Whenever therefore you do charitable giving, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by men. Assuredly I say to you, they receive their reward in full.
(Matthew 6:3) But when you do charitable giving, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
(Matthew 6:4) so that your charitable giving may be in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will Himself reward you openly.
(Matthew 6:5) "And whenever you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites, because they love to pray standing in the synagogues, and on the streetcorners, so that they may be seen by men. Assuredly I say to you, that they receive their reward in full.
(Matthew 6:6) But you, whenever you pray, enter into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you openly.
(Matthew 6:7) But when you pray, do not babble like the heathen, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
(Matthew 6:8) Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows what things you have need of before you ask Him.
(Matthew 6:9) Therefore pray in this manner: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
(Matthew 6:10) Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
(Matthew 6:11) Give us this day our daily bread.
(Matthew 6:12) And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
(Matthew 6:13) And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
(Matthew 6:14) "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
(Matthew 6:15) But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
(Matthew 6:16) "Moreover, when you fast, do not become gloomy, like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly I say to you, that they receive their reward in full.
(Matthew 6:17) But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,
(Matthew 6:18) so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.
(Matthew 6:19) "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves dig through and steal;
(Matthew 6:20) but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and where thieves do not dig through and steal.
(Matthew 6:21) For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
(Matthew 6:22) "The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.
(Matthew 6:23) But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be dark. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
(Matthew 6:24) "No one is able to serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and he will love the other, or else he will be devoted to the one, and he will despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
(Matthew 6:25) "Because of this I say to you, do not worry about your life--what you shall eat, or what you shall drink--nor about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
(Matthew 6:26) Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap, nor do they gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth more than they?
(Matthew 6:27) Which of you by worrying is able to add one cubit to his stature?
(Matthew 6:28) So why do you worry about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither labor, nor spin;
(Matthew 6:29) and yet I say to you, that not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these.
(Matthew 6:30) But if God thus clothes the grass of the field, which exists today, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
(Matthew 6:31) Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we put on?'
(Matthew 6:32) "For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
(Matthew 6:33) But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
(Matthew 6:34) Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own affairs. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
In Matthew chapter 7 Jesus warns strongly against hypocrisy, encourages us to ask for what we need, warns us to keep the narrow road and few will find it, warns against false prophets(teachers) and that every tree is known by its fruit, warns us to do the Father’s will to make heaven, and to heed what Jesus says and do it, to be like a house built on a rock and not sand.
(Matthew 7:1) "Judge not, lest you be judged.
(Matthew 7:2) For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with what measure you measure, it will be measured back to you.
(Matthew 7:3) And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not notice the plank in your own eye?
(Matthew 7:4) Or how will you say to your brother, 'Permit me to remove the speck from your eye'; and look, there is a plank in your own eye?
(Matthew 7:5) Hypocrite! First remove the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.
(Matthew 7:6) Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.
(Matthew 7:7) "Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.
(Matthew 7:8) For everyone that asks receives, and he that seeks finds, and to him that knocks, it shall be opened.
(Matthew 7:9) Or what man is there among you who, if his son should ask for bread, will give to him a stone?
(Matthew 7:10) And if he should ask for a fish, he will give to him a serpent?
(Matthew 7:11) If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, by how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
(Matthew 7:12) Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, thus also you do to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
(Matthew 7:13) "Enter in through the narrow gate; because wide is the gate, and broad is the way which leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in through it.
(Matthew 7:14) How narrow the gate, and confined the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it!
(Matthew 7:15) "But beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
(Matthew 7:16) You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grape clusters from thorns, or figs from thistles?
(Matthew 7:17) Thus every good tree produces good fruit, but a rotten tree produces evil fruit.
(Matthew 7:18) A good tree cannot produce evil fruit, nor can a rotten tree produce good fruit.
(Matthew 7:19) Every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.
(Matthew 7:20) Consequently, by their fruits you shall know them.
(Matthew 7:21) "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.
(Matthew 7:22) Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name we cast out demons, and in Your name we did many mighty works?'
(Matthew 7:23) "And then I will confess to them, 'I never knew you! Depart from Me, you who work iniquity!'
(Matthew 7:24) "Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them, I will compare him to a wise man who built his house upon the rock:
(Matthew 7:25) and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and fell against that house; and it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock.
(Matthew 7:26) And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them, will be compared to a foolish man who built his house on the sand:
(Matthew 7:27) and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And its fall was great."
(Matthew 7:28) And so it was, when Jesus finished these words, the crowds were astonished at His teaching,
(Matthew 7:29) for He taught them as one having authority, and not like the scribes.
In Matthew chapter 12 Jesus gives teachings of Sabbath and says every sin will be forgiven except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, and as such is a stern warning to not blaspheme the Holy Spirit delivered by Jesus to the Pharisees in this chapter and then to all by the bible
(Matthew 12:1) At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. And His disciples became hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.
(Matthew 12:2) But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him, "Look, Your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath!"
(Matthew 12:3) But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and those who were with him:
(Matthew 12:4) how they entered the house of God, and ate the showbread which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, except only for the priests?
(Matthew 12:5) Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are guiltless?
(Matthew 12:6) Yet I say to you that One greater than the temple is here.
(Matthew 12:7) But if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless.
(Matthew 12:8) For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
(Matthew 12:9) And having departed from there, He went into their synagogue.
(Matthew 12:10) And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"--that they might accuse Him.
(Matthew 12:11) Then He said to them, "What man is there among you who shall have one sheep, and if it should fall into a ditch on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out?
(Matthew 12:12) How much more valuable then is a man than a sheep! So then it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath."
(Matthew 12:13) Then He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and it was restored whole like the other.
(Matthew 12:14) But the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him.
(Matthew 12:15) But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there. And great crowds followed Him, and He healed them all.
(Matthew 12:16) And He warned them that they should not make Him known,
(Matthew 12:17) so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,
(Matthew 12:18) "Behold, My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased! I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He will announce justice to the Gentiles.
(Matthew 12:19) He will not quarrel nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.
(Matthew 12:20) A bruised reed He shall not break, and a smoldering wick He shall not quench, till He bring forth justice to victory;
(Matthew 12:21) And in His name the nations shall hope."
(Matthew 12:22) Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.
(Matthew 12:23) And all the crowds were amazed and said, "This is not the Son of David, is it?"
(Matthew 12:24) But the Pharisees, having heard, said, "This Man does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, ruler of the demons."
(Matthew 12:25) But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said to them: "Every kingdom being divided against itself is made desolate, and every city or house being divided against itself shall not stand.
(Matthew 12:26) And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
(Matthew 12:27) And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.
(Matthew 12:28) But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.
(Matthew 12:29) Or how is one able to enter a strong man's house to plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his household.
(Matthew 12:30) He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
(Matthew 12:31) "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.
(Matthew 12:32) And whoever says a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in the coming one.
(Matthew 12:33) "Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree rotten and its fruit rotten; for a tree is known by its fruit.
(Matthew 12:34) Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
(Matthew 12:35) A good man out of his good treasure brings forth good things, and an evil man out of his evil treasure brings forth evil things.
(Matthew 12:36) But I say to you, that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
(Matthew 12:37) For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned."
(Matthew 12:38) Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, "Teacher, we wish to see a sign from You."
(Matthew 12:39) But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
(Matthew 12:40) For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
(Matthew 12:41) The men of Nineveh shall stand up in the judgment with this generation and shall condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, a greater than Jonah is here.
(Matthew 12:42) The queen of the South shall rise up in the judgment with this generation and she shall condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
(Matthew 12:43) "When an unclean spirit goes out from a man, he goes through waterless places, seeking rest, and does not find any.
(Matthew 12:44) Then he says, 'I will return to my house from where I came out.' And when he comes, he finds it unoccupied, swept, and adorned.
(Matthew 12:45) Then he goes and takes along with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and entering in they dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Thus it shall also be for this wicked generation."
(Matthew 12:46) And while He was still speaking to the crowds, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him.
(Matthew 12:47) Then one said to Him, "Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You."
(Matthew 12:48) But He answered and said to him that told Him, "Who is My mother? And who are My brothers?"
(Matthew 12:49) And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, "Behold; My mother, and My brothers!
(Matthew 12:50) For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother."
I am going to start this off with the full chapter of Matthew 13, which contains a great many parables, and mainly end times ones, such as wheat and tares, and others like the seed parable as well as others that declare the value of the kingdom of God
(Matthew 13:1) On the same day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea.
(Matthew 13:2) And great crowds were gathered together to Him, so that He got into the boat and sat; and the crowd stood on the shore.
(Matthew 13:3) And He spoke to them many things in parables, saying: "Behold, a sower went out to sow.
(Matthew 13:4) And as he sowed, some seed fell alongside the road; and the birds came and devoured them.
(Matthew 13:5) But others fell on the stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth.
(Matthew 13:6) But when the sun rose, it was scorched, and because it had no root, it withered away.
(Matthew 13:7) But others fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them out.
(Matthew 13:8) But others fell on good ground and it was yielding fruit: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
(Matthew 13:9) He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"
(Matthew 13:10) And the disciples approached and said to Him, "Why do You speak to them in parables?"
(Matthew 13:11) He answered and said to them, "To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
(Matthew 13:12) For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he shall be in abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him.
(Matthew 13:13) Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
(Matthew 13:14) And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says: 'Hearing you shall hear and by no means understand, and seeing you shall see and by no means perceive.
(Matthew 13:15) For the heart of this people has become dull, and their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes have closed, lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn back, that I should heal them.'
(Matthew 13:16) "But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears, because they hear.
(Matthew 13:17) For assuredly I say to you, that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and they did not see, and to hear what you hear, and they did not hear."
(Matthew 13:18) "Therefore hear the parable of the sower:
(Matthew 13:19) When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand, then the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed being sown beside the road.
(Matthew 13:20) But the seed sown on stony ground, is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;
(Matthew 13:21) yet he has no root in himself, but is short-lived. For when tribulation or persecution comes because of the word, immediately he falls away.
(Matthew 13:22) But the seed sown in the thorns is he who hears the word, and the anxiety of this age, and the deceitfulness of riches chokes out the word, and it becomes fruitless.
(Matthew 13:23) But the seed sown on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty."
(Matthew 13:24) Another parable He set before them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man sowing good seed in his field.
(Matthew 13:25) But while the men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went away.
(Matthew 13:26) But when the stalk had sprouted and produced fruit, then the tares also appeared.
(Matthew 13:27) So the servants of the master of the house approached and said to him, 'Sir, was it not good seed you sowed in your field? From where then does it have tares?'
(Matthew 13:28) "He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' So the servants said to him, 'Do you wish then that we should go and gather them up?'
(Matthew 13:29) "But he said, 'No, lest gathering up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.
(Matthew 13:30) Leave both to grow together until the harvest; and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, "First gather together the tares, and bind them into bundles to burn them, but gather together the wheat into my barn." ' "
(Matthew 13:31) Another parable He set before them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field,
(Matthew 13:32) which indeed is smaller than all the seeds; but whenever it is grown, it is greater than the garden vegetables and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches."
(Matthew 13:33) Another parable He spoke to them: "The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and mixed in with three measures of meal, until the whole was leavened."
(Matthew 13:34) Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the crowds, and without a parable He did not speak to them,
(Matthew 13:35) so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: "I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things having been hidden from the foundation of the world."
(Matthew 13:36) Then having dismissed the crowds, Jesus went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field."
(Matthew 13:37) He answered and said to them: "He that sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
(Matthew 13:38) And the field is the world, and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the evil one.
(Matthew 13:39) The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.
(Matthew 13:40) Therefore just as the tares are gathered and burned with fire, thus it will be at the end of this age.
(Matthew 13:41) The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who work iniquity,
(Matthew 13:42) and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
(Matthew 13:43) Then the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"
(Matthew 13:44) "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure having been hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it, he went and sold everything he had, and bought that field."
(Matthew 13:45) "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls,
(Matthew 13:46) who, when he found one very precious pearl, went and sold everything he had and bought it."
(Matthew 13:47) "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet having been cast into the sea, and gathering some of every kind,
(Matthew 13:48) which, when it was filled, they pulled up on the shore; and sitting down, they collected the good into vessels, but the rotten they threw out.
(Matthew 13:49) Thus it shall be at the end of the age: the angels shall go forth and separate the evil from among the righteous,
(Matthew 13:50) and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
(Matthew 13:51) Jesus said to them, "Have you understood all these things?" They said to Him, "Yes, Lord."
(Matthew 13:52) Then He said to them, "Therefore every scribe having become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure new and old things."
(Matthew 13:53) Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, He went away from there.
(Matthew 13:54) And coming into His hometown, He began to teach them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, "Where did this Man get this wisdom and the powerful works?
(Matthew 13:55) Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Jude?
(Matthew 13:56) And His sisters, are they not all with us? From where then did this Man get all these things?"
(Matthew 13:57) So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown, and in his own house."
(Matthew 13:58) And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.
I am also putting in Matthew chapter 18 which shows the importance of becoming as little children, praying with each other and for each other correcting each other for wrongdoing and above all else that we MUST forgive each other to be forgiven. Not all is a parable, but this whole chapter contains too much important things to ignore.
(Matthew 18:1) At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who then is the greater in the kingdom of heaven?"
(Matthew 18:2) Then Jesus called a little child, and set him in their midst,
(Matthew 18:3) and said, "Assuredly I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you shall by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
(Matthew 18:4) Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child, he is the greater in the kingdom of heaven.
(Matthew 18:5) And whoever receives one such little child in My name, receives Me.
(Matthew 18:6) "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him that a huge millstone be hanged on his neck, and he be drowned in the depth of the sea.
(Matthew 18:7) Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man through whom the offense comes!
(Matthew 18:8) And if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut them off and cast them from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, than having two hands or two feet, to be thrown into the eternal fire.
(Matthew 18:9) And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, than having two eyes, to be thrown into the fiery hell.
(Matthew 18:10) "See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.
(Matthew 18:11) For the Son of Man came to save that which was lost.
(Matthew 18:12) What do you think? If a certain man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains, and go and search for the one gone astray?
(Matthew 18:13) And if he happens to find it, assuredly I say to you that he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which did not go astray.
(Matthew 18:14) Thus it is not the will before your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
(Matthew 18:15) "And if your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have won your brother.
(Matthew 18:16) But if he does not hear, take along with you one or two more, so that 'by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.'
(Matthew 18:17) But if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the assembly. But if he refuses even to hear the assembly, let him be to you as a heathen and a tax collector.
(Matthew 18:18) Assuredly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.
(Matthew 18:19) Again, assuredly I say to you that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
(Matthew 18:20) For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst."
(Matthew 18:21) Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?"
(Matthew 18:22) Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy- seven times.
(Matthew 18:23) Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.
(Matthew 18:24) And when he began to settle up, one debtor was brought to him owing ten thousand talents.
(Matthew 18:25) But since he had nothing with which to repay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and everything that he had, and to be repaid.
(Matthew 18:26) Therefore falling down before him, the servant said, 'Master, have patience with me, and I will repay everything to you.'
(Matthew 18:27) "And having compassion, the master of that servant released him, and forgave him the loan.
(Matthew 18:28) But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. And taking hold of him, he was choking him, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!'
(Matthew 18:29) "So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and kept begging him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you back.'
(Matthew 18:30) "But he was not willing, but going off, he cast him into prison till he should pay back what was owed.
(Matthew 18:31) So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and they came and narrated to their master all that had taken place.
(Matthew 18:32) Then summoning him, his master said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me.
(Matthew 18:33) Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, as I also had compassion on you?'
(Matthew 18:34) "And being angered, his master handed him over to the tormentors until he should pay all that was owed to him.
(Matthew 18:35) Thus also My heavenly Father will do to you, if you do not forgive each one his brother their trespasses, from your hearts."
The first of these five chapters is Matthew chapter 24 which has powerful end times related warnings of false teachers and all the birth pangs and warns us all to be ready for them
(Matthew 24:1) Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came to Him to point out to Him the buildings of the temple.
(Matthew 24:2) But Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly I say to you, by no means will a stone be left here upon a stone, which shall not be thrown down."
(Matthew 24:3) And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"
(Matthew 24:4) And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you.
(Matthew 24:5) For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and they will deceive many.
(Matthew 24:6) And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not disturbed; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
(Matthew 24:7) For nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
(Matthew 24:8) But all these things are the beginning of sorrows.
(Matthew 24:9) Then they will hand you over to tribulation and they will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations, on account of My name.
(Matthew 24:10) And then many will fall away, and they will betray one another, and they will hate one another.
(Matthew 24:11) Then many false prophets will be raised up, and they will deceive many.
(Matthew 24:12) And because lawlessness will increase, the love of many will grow cold.
(Mat 24:13) But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
(Matthew 24:15) "Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand),
(Matthew 24:16) then let those who are in Judea flee upon the mountains.
(Matthew 24:17) Let the one on the housetop not go down to take the things out of his house.
(Matthew 24:18) And let the one in the field not turn back to take his clothes.
(Matthew 24:19) But woe to those women who are pregnant, and to the women nursing a baby in those days!
(Matthew 24:20) But pray that your flight may not take place in winter, nor on the Sabbath.
(Matthew 24:21) For then there shall be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until now, nor by any means shall be.
(Matthew 24:22) And unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, those days will be cut short.
(Matthew 24:23) Then if someone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There!' do not believe it.
(Matthew 24:24) For false christs and false prophets will be raised up, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
(Matthew 24:25) See, I have told you in advance.
(Matthew 24:26) Therefore if they should say to you, 'Look, He is in the desert!' do not go out; or 'Look, He is in the inner rooms!' do not believe it.
(Matthew 24:27) For as the lightning comes out from the east and flashes to the west, so shall also be the coming of the Son of Man.
(Matthew 24:28) For wherever the carcass may be, there the eagles will be gathered together.
(Matthew 24:29) "Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light; and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
(Matthew 24:30) And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
(Matthew 24:31) And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
(Matthew 24:32) "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: Whenever its branch already becomes tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.
(Matthew 24:33) So you also, whenever you see all these things, know that it is near--at the doors!
(Matthew 24:34) Assuredly I say to you, this generation shall by no means pass away till all these things are fulfilled.
(Matthew 24:35) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall by no means pass away.
(Matthew 24:36) "But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
(Matthew 24:37) But just as the days of Noah were, so also shall be the coming of the Son of Man.
(Matthew 24:38) For just as they were in the days before the flood, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
(Matthew 24:39) and they didn't know a thing until the flood came and took them all away, so also shall be the coming of the Son of Man.
(Matthew 24:40) Then two will be in the field: one will be taken, and one will be left.
(Matthew 24:41) Two will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken, and one will be left.
(Matthew 24:42) Watch therefore, for you do not know in what hour your Lord is coming.
(Matthew 24:43) But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have kept watch, and he would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
(Matthew 24:44) For this reason you also must be ready, for at an hour that you think not, the Son of Man comes.
(Matthew 24:45) "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master appointed over his household, to give them food in due season?
(Matthew 24:46) Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.
(Matthew 24:47) Assuredly I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his possessions.
(Matthew 24:48) But if that evil servant should say in his heart, 'My master is delaying to come,'
(Matthew 24:49) "and should begin to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,
(Matthew 24:50) the master of that servant will come on a day which he does not expect, and in an hour which he does not know,
(Matthew 24:51) and he will cut him in two, and will appoint his share with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 25 is a chapter with 3 important parables- the first is the one of the wise and foolish virgins which speaks of the rapture, the second is the parable of the talents which is very similar to the above parable of the minas and lastly is the judgment of the nations parable where everyone appears before Jesus and He says that whatever we do or fail to do to the least one of our brothers we have done/failed to do for Jesus(the king)
(Matthew 25:1) "Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, who having taken their lamps, went out to meet the bridegroom.
(Matthew 25:2) Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
(Matthew 25:3) Those who were foolish, having taken their lamps, did not take oil with them,
(Matthew 25:4) but the wise took oil in their vessels along with their lamps.
(Matthew 25:5) But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept.
(Matthew 25:6) And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'
(Matthew 25:7) "Then all those virgins arose, and they trimmed their lamps.
(Matthew 25:8) And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'
(Matthew 25:9) "But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough for you and us; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.'
(Matthew 25:10) "But as they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
(Matthew 25:11) Afterward the remaining virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!'
(Matthew 25:12) "But he answered and said, 'Assuredly I say to you, I do not know you.'
(Matthew 25:13) "Watch therefore, for you do not know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
(Matthew 25:14) "For it is as if a man leaving on a journey, who called his own servants and handed over his possessions to them.
(Matthew 25:15) And to the one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.
(Matthew 25:16) Then the one receiving the five talents went and traded with them, and made five other talents.
(Matthew 25:17) And likewise the one receiving the two gained two more also.
(Matthew 25:18) But the one receiving one went away and dug in the ground, and hid his lord's money.
(Matthew 25:19) Then after much time, the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
(Matthew 25:20) And the one who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, 'Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I gained five more talents besides them.'
(Matthew 25:21) "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'
(Matthew 25:22) "And also the one receiving the two talents came and said, 'Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.'
(Matthew 25:23) "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'
(Matthew 25:24) "Then the one having received the one talent came and said, 'Lord, I knew you, that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter.
(Matthew 25:25) And being afraid, I went off and hid your talent in the ground. Look, you have what is yours.'
(Matthew 25:26) "But his lord answered and said to him, 'You wicked and slothful servant, you knew that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter.
(Matthew 25:27) Therefore you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received what is mine with interest.
(Matthew 25:28) Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents.
(Matthew 25:29) For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he shall have abundance; but to him who does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him.
(Matthew 25:30) And cast the useless servant into the darkness outside. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
(Matthew 25:31) "And when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then will He sit upon His glorious throne.
(Matthew 25:32) All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
(Matthew 25:33) And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on His left.
(Matthew 25:34) Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
(Matthew 25:35) for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;
(Matthew 25:36) I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'
(Matthew 25:37) "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
(Matthew 25:38) When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
(Matthew 25:39) Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'
(Matthew 25:40) "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.'
(Matthew 25:41) "Then He will also say to those on the left, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
(Matthew 25:42) for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;
(Matthew 25:43) I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.'
(Matthew 25:44) "Then they also will answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and we did not minister to You?'
(Matthew 25:45) "Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, neither did you do it to Me.'
(Matthew 25:46) "And these shall go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
I will wrap this up by giving a presentation on the rapture which I strongly urge all readers to pray to be ready for because you do not want to miss it and then have to face the seven year tribulations period which will be more terrible than any other time on the earth because you missed the rapture something you did not need to do so please call out to Jesus today so you do not miss this rapture
Rapture
I will conclude and wrap this teaching up by saying that the way people are now(not too unlike the way they were at Noah’s time and also the time Sodom, which are things which Jesus prophesied about in scriptures in Matthew, Mark and Luke)and all the many other end times signs which are occurring currently(animals dying, food prices rising, wars, rumors of wars, crazy weather and so on) are birth pangs of the coming tribulation period and sure signs the rapture is not far way, indeed, I still believe that the rapture could be any day at any time, of which the Heavenly Father only knows). So cheer up, your redemption is drawing closer and closer every day that passes. Also please remember that Jesus loves you more than You can possibly know, and also by posting this about the rapture, too, which does duplicate some of the scriptures, but that is for emphasis for the rapture is too important and you absolutely DO NOT want to miss it:
THE RAPTURE IS IMMINENT!!! ARE YOU READY????
I am very strongly led to believe the rapture is very imminent, and could happen any day at anytime at all. Nobody knows the exact time for the rapture but the Father God Himself. I cannot strongly enough advise all of you to get your hearts right with Jesus by asking the Holy Spirit to reveal to you if there is any Sin /iniquity/ uncleanness in your heart, mind etc and repenting of any and all items brought to your mind right away, asking the Holy Spirit to cleanse you and your garments so that they are spotless, being washed by the blood of Jesus. I am a man, needing the blood of Jesus for cleansing as much as everyone else, and believe me I am doing the same thing. This repenting is a continuous process, not just a one time thing; I have found that I myself have been repenting several times throughout the day. I know that it will be God's grace and mercy ONLY that I make the rapture, not anything I do, I am well aware of the fact that grace alone being what saves, and not works lest any should boast, but also faith without works is dead so I am sharing this with everyone, in the hopes that a few, even just one person, would wake up in time, and repent, for the remaining time here is very short.
I post and share this document for I deeply care for people and DO NOT want anyone to miss the rapture and find themselves left behind to face the 7 year tribulations which will follow the rapture which will be pure a horrific time on earth, the most horrific ever, in fact, where you will have to hide in caves or in mountains, away from all the evil and very selfish people, be an absolute survival expert, which many are not and absolutely refuse at all costs to take the mark of the beast(666).As a result of your refusal to take this mark, you won’t be able to buy or sell anything, work, eat, live in a normal way, and so on, and most likely you’ll be killed for it, but that is far better than taking the mark and ending up in the lake of fire for eternity, as each and every man and woman who take the mark of the beast will end up in the lake of fire, where there will be absolutely no rest from their torment night or day(Revelation 14). Even doing all the precautions, hiding by getting away from all population centers and into the mountains, and so on may not be enough because many if not most people, in fact will not survive the judgments that God will pour out on the world in this time period, in the seal, trumpet and bowl judgments as well as the judgment and destruction of the daughter of Babylon. All these events are described in good detail in the book of Revelation in chapters 6 through 18, which I strongly advise all to read. Here is a link an excellent animated video of the entire book of revelation for you to watch
The tribulation period of seven years absolutely will make today's evil world seem like life in paradise by comparison. I very strongly suggest reading the book of Revelation chapters 6 through 18 which tell you specifically what sort of events and judgments the world will see during this tribulation period.
Here are some rapture related scriptures:
(1 Corinthians 15:51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
(1 Corinthians 15:52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
(1Thessolonians 4:16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
(1Thessolonians 4:17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
God wants to keep us from this tribulation by His love and mercy Because thou has kept the word of my patience, I ALSO WILL KEEP THEE FROM THE HOUR OF TEMPTATION, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." The implication of this verse is obvious: If the end-time Christian does NOT stay close to the Lord and endure to the end, HE WILL NOT BE KEPT FROM THE TRIBULATION HOUR Revelation 3 verse 10, so it is IMPERATIVE to stay close to the Lord in these last days.
Now I have a very special warning message to all those who are lukewarm Christians to repent of this condition and to be on fire for Jesus or Jesus will surely spit you out of the rapture(see verse 16, below) and you will go through the seven year tribulation as it says in Revelation 3 14-22. There are FAR TOO MANY are in this condition the Holy Spirit warned me this AM. There are FAR TOO MANY LAODICEANS today. Please REPENT NOW of your lukewarmness and be on fire for the Lord before it is too late and you miss the rapture as a result of your being lukewarm!! Here are the verses in Revelation chapter 3 concerning the Laodicean church:
(Revelation 3:14) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
(Revelation 3:15) I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
(Revelation 3:16) So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
(Revelation 3:17) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
(Revelation 3:18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
(Revelation 3:19) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
(Revelation 3:20) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
(Revelation 3:21) To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
(Revelation 3:22) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Summarizing, you MUST all be ready for this coming rapture, AND be on FIRE for Jesus, and not be at all lukewarm but loving Jesus with ALL Your heart, mind and soul as commanded in the bible, in several places in both the old and new testaments. If in case you need to receive the Lord please pray the following prayer (backsliders can also use this prayer to repent of their sin and lukewarmness and recommit their lives, and return to their first love, Jesus. Please do so NOW before it is too late)
Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess Jesus as our Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we will be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself. Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.
Amen.
Here are 10 steps that can be of help to be ready for the soon to come rapture:
1. Make sure that you have received Jesus Christ into your life as your PERSONAL Lord and Savior(see the salvation prayer above and use it if need be).
2. Examine your own heart for any signs of backsliding, worldliness, unwatchfulness, compromising, and lukewarmness.
3. REPENT (Turn COMPLETELY away from sin and turn COMPLETELY around towards Jesus). Sin separates you from God, even as a Christian.
4. Study end-time Biblical prophecy(Daniel 7-12, Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 17, 21, 1 Corinthians 15, 1 Thessalonians 4 and 5, other places but the book of Revelation in particular) until you become completely convinced that His Coming is, indeed, AT THE DOOR. This will help keep you from temptation and sin. JESUS IS COMING VERY SOON!!! Lord help me be absolutely convinced YOU ARE at the door!!!!!
5. Do something for the Lord. (Passing out tracts would be a good start.)
6. Examine your priorities, lest the CARES OF THIS LIFE cause YOU to MISS THE RAPTURE, as we are so adamantly WARNED about in Luke 21, and so many other Scriptures.
7. Draw closer to God by praying, reading His Word, attending a fundamental church as often as possible, and surround yourself with a Christian atmosphere (Christian friends, books, music, radio, TV, etc.)
8. PRAY DILIGENTLY. ASK THE LORD TO REVEAL TO YOU ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE THAT EVEN MIGHT KEEP YOU FROM THE RAPTURE. PRAY THAT THE LORD WOULD GIVE YOU A PEACE, IF YOU ARE READY, AND AN UNREST AND UNEASINESS IN YOUR HEART, IF YOU ARE NOT READY.
9. Listen for His voice and then STAY OPEN TO THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
10. Act upon that which the Lord is calling you to do. DO IT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!
Please also pray and ask the Lord Jesus to see if you are indeed ready and to give you peace if you and If the Lord has planted even the least bit of doubt or uneasiness in your heart, will you swallow your pride and pray this prayer with me:
"Dear Lord, Thank you for preparing a WAY OF ESCAPE from the horrible Tribulation to come. It is my sincere desire to be ready for your Soon Return, so that I can participate in the Rapture. Give me a COMPLETE PEACE IN MY HEART FROM YOU if I am, indeed, ready. Let there be no false sense of security in my heart concerning my readiness for Your Return. Begin to reveal to me things in my life and in my heart that might keep me from the Rapture. Show me what I need to do to BE READY and then give me the power to act upon that which you show me to do. Draw me away from the world and closer to you every day. Use me in whatever way you can to help others
who may not be ready for your Return. Fill me with your peace when I am ready and fill me with YOUR POWER, for victory over sin and temptation, and for effective service for your kingdom. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen
If, by an unfortunate chance, you are finding yourself reading this testimony after the rapture has happened, and you find that you have missed it, everything is not lost by any means, just please pray immediately to accept the Lord Jesus as savior and /or recommit your life to Him, repenting of anything and everything that you have done that has caused you to miss the rapture, especially such things as being lukewarm and whatever else you may do during that time absolutely DO NOT TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST OR YOU WILL SPEND ETERNITY IN THE LAKE OF FIRE!!!!!(taking the mark of the beast means you are essentially married to Satan, the antichrist, the beast and false prophet, ALL OF WHOM ARE DESTINED FOR THE LAKE OF FIRE, AS ARE ALL WHO TAKE THEIR MARK ON THEIR FOREHEAD OR HAND). IT IS NOT AT ALL FORGIVABLE TO TAKE THIS MARK- so again you must avoid taking this mark AT ALL COSTS you won’t be able to buy, sell, work, and so on, you will have to hide, living in the forest and away from civilization, face jail, torture, and be executed for refusing the mark. If you do die for refusing to take the mark of the beast, if you are Jesus’ you will go to heaven immediately as a tribulation saint and martyr spoken of in the book of revelation. I cannot strongly stress the point enough to NEVER, EVER accept the mark of the beast, no matter what!!!! It will be well worth it to lose everything and everyone in this world, including your life so as to not have to spend all eternity in hell and the lake of fire, where again there will be never any rest on your torment day or night.
