nine warning new testament chapters bible study
Nine warning chapters in the New Testament
I am doing a study of seven chapters which contain powerful warnings in the new testament. These chapters are Matthew 7 and 12, Romans 1, 2, and 6, Hebrews 6, 10, and 12 and 2 Peter 2. Each one of these chapters in the bible have their own distinctive warnings that they deliver in their own powerful way but together the nine chapters deliver the message that we are to stay within God’s will, doing what the Father wants, and to avoid sin, especially deliberate sin, and to beware that it is all too easy to fall into old habits.
I am starting this off with Matthew chapter 7 where the message Jesus gives is to not judge as not to be judged, to follow the narrow road and not the broad and to do the Father’s will always
(Matthew 7:1) "Judge not, lest you be judged.
(Matthew 7:2) For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with what measure you measure, it will be measured back to you.
(Matthew 7:3) And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not notice the plank in your own eye?
(Matthew 7:4) Or how will you say to your brother, 'Permit me to remove the speck from your eye'; and look, there is a plank in your own eye?
(Matthew 7:5) Hypocrite! First remove the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.
(Matthew 7:6) Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.
(Matthew 7:7) "Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.
(Matthew 7:8) For everyone that asks receives, and he that seeks finds, and to him that knocks, it shall be opened.
(Matthew 7:9) Or what man is there among you who, if his son should ask for bread, will give to him a stone?
(Matthew 7:10) And if he should ask for a fish, he will give to him a serpent?
(Matthew 7:11) If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, by how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
(Matthew 7:12) Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, thus also you do to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
(Matthew 7:13) "Enter in through the narrow gate; because wide is the gate, and broad is the way which leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in through it.
(Matthew 7:14) How narrow the gate, and confined the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it!
(Matthew 7:15) "But beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
(Matthew 7:16) You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grape clusters from thorns, or figs from thistles?
(Matthew 7:17) Thus every good tree produces good fruit, but a rotten tree produces evil fruit.
(Matthew 7:18) A good tree cannot produce evil fruit, nor can a rotten tree produce good fruit.
(Matthew 7:19) Every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.
(Matthew 7:20) Consequently, by their fruits you shall know them.
(Matthew 7:21) "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.
(Matthew 7:22) Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name we cast out demons, and in Your name we did many mighty works?'
(Matthew 7:23) "And then I will confess to them, 'I never knew you! Depart from Me, you who work iniquity!'
(Matthew 7:24) "Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them, I will compare him to a wise man who built his house upon the rock:
(Matthew 7:25) and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and fell against that house; and it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock.
(Matthew 7:26) And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them, will be compared to a foolish man who built his house on the sand:
(Matthew 7:27) and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And its fall was great."
(Matthew 7:28) And so it was, when Jesus finished these words, the crowds were astonished at His teaching,
(Matthew 7:29) for He taught them as one having authority, and not like the scribes.
In Matthew chapter 12 Jesus gives teachings of Sabbath and says every sin will be forgiven except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, and as such is a stern warning to not blaspheme the Holy Spirit delivered by Jesus to the Pharisees in this chapter and then to all by the bible
(Matthew 12:1) At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. And His disciples became hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.
(Matthew 12:2) But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him, "Look, Your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath!"
(Matthew 12:3) But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and those who were with him:
(Matthew 12:4) how they entered the house of God, and ate the showbread which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, except only for the priests?
(Matthew 12:5) Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are guiltless?
(Matthew 12:6) Yet I say to you that One greater than the temple is here.
(Matthew 12:7) But if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless.
(Matthew 12:8) For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
(Matthew 12:9) And having departed from there, He went into their synagogue.
(Matthew 12:10) And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"--that they might accuse Him.
(Matthew 12:11) Then He said to them, "What man is there among you who shall have one sheep, and if it should fall into a ditch on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out?
(Matthew 12:12) How much more valuable then is a man than a sheep! So then it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath."
(Matthew 12:13) Then He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and it was restored whole like the other.
(Matthew 12:14) But the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him.
(Matthew 12:15) But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there. And great crowds followed Him, and He healed them all.
(Matthew 12:16) And He warned them that they should not make Him known,
(Matthew 12:17) so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,
(Matthew 12:18) "Behold, My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased! I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He will announce justice to the Gentiles.
(Matthew 12:19) He will not quarrel nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.
(Matthew 12:20) A bruised reed He shall not break, and a smoldering wick He shall not quench, till He bring forth justice to victory;
(Matthew 12:21) And in His name the nations shall hope."
(Matthew 12:22) Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.
(Matthew 12:23) And all the crowds were amazed and said, "This is not the Son of David, is it?"
(Matthew 12:24) But the Pharisees, having heard, said, "This Man does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, ruler of the demons."
(Matthew 12:25) But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said to them: "Every kingdom being divided against itself is made desolate, and every city or house being divided against itself shall not stand.
(Matthew 12:26) And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
(Matthew 12:27) And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.
(Matthew 12:28) But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.
(Matthew 12:29) Or how is one able to enter a strong man's house to plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his household.
(Matthew 12:30) He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
(Matthew 12:31) "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.
(Matthew 12:32) And whoever says a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in the coming one.
(Matthew 12:33) "Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree rotten and its fruit rotten; for a tree is known by its fruit.
(Matthew 12:34) Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
(Matthew 12:35) A good man out of his good treasure brings forth good things, and an evil man out of his evil treasure brings forth evil things.
(Matthew 12:36) But I say to you, that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
(Matthew 12:37) For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned."
(Matthew 12:38) Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, "Teacher, we wish to see a sign from You."
(Matthew 12:39) But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
(Matthew 12:40) For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
(Matthew 12:41) The men of Nineveh shall stand up in the judgment with this generation and shall condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, a greater than Jonah is here.
(Matthew 12:42) The queen of the South shall rise up in the judgment with this generation and she shall condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
(Matthew 12:43) "When an unclean spirit goes out from a man, he goes through waterless places, seeking rest, and does not find any.
(Matthew 12:44) Then he says, 'I will return to my house from where I came out.' And when he comes, he finds it unoccupied, swept, and adorned.
(Matthew 12:45) Then he goes and takes along with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and entering in they dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Thus it shall also be for this wicked generation."
(Matthew 12:46) And while He was still speaking to the crowds, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him.
(Matthew 12:47) Then one said to Him, "Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You."
(Matthew 12:48) But He answered and said to him that told Him, "Who is My mother? And who are My brothers?"
(Matthew 12:49) And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, "Behold; My mother, and My brothers!
(Matthew 12:50) For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother."
Romans chapter 1 warns people to not be ashamed of the gospel and that one can become reprobate and fall away from faith, and then God would then give them over to their own pleasures- so don’t go there
(Romans 1:1) Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, having been separated to the gospel of God
(Romans 1:2) which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures,
(Romans 1:3) concerning His Son, who came of the seed of David according to the flesh,
(Romans 1:4) who was declared Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness by the resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,
(Romans 1:5) through whom we received grace and apostleship for obedience of faith among all the nations for His name,
(Romans 1:6) among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ:
(Romans 1:7) To all those who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Romans 1:8) First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
(Romans 1:9) For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers,
(Romans 1:10) requesting if somehow now at sometime I shall succeed in the will of God to come to you.
(Romans 1:11) For I long to see you, so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, that you may be established--
(Romans 1:12) that is, that I may be encouraged together among you through the mutual faith both of you and me.
(Romans 1:13) Now I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, that often I planned to come to you (and I was hindered until now), that I might have some fruit among you also, just as among the other Gentiles.
(Romans 1:14) I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise.
(Romans 1:15) So, as much as is in me, I am eager to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also.
(Romans 1:16) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes, both to the Jew first and to the Greek.
(Romans 1:17) For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
(Romans 1:18) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.
(Romans 1:19) Because that which is known of God is manifest among them, for God has shown it to them.
(Romans 1:20) For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, both His eternal power and Divinity, so that they are without excuse.
(Romans 1:21) Because, having known God, they did not glorify Him as God, or give thanks, but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened.
(Romans 1:22) Professing to be wise, they became fools,
(Romans 1:23) and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for a likeness of an image of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and reptiles.
(Romans 1:24) Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of the own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies among themselves,
(Romans 1:25) who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
(Romans 1:26) For this reason God gave them up to passions of dishonor; for even their females exchanged the natural use for that which is contrary to nature,
(Romans 1:27) and likewise also the males, having left the natural use of the female, were inflamed by their lust for one another, males with males, committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was fitting for their error.
(Romans 1:28) And just as they did not approve to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things which are not fitting;
(Romans 1:29) having been filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, greed, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness; they are whisperers,
(Romans 1:30) slanderers, hateful to God, insolent men, proud, braggarts, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
(Romans 1:31) without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;
(Romans 1:32) who, having known the righteous judgment of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also approve of those who practice them.
In Romans 2 Paul warns strongly against judging others for the one who judges often does the same or similar things themselves as the person that they are making the judgments against and that God will judge all according to their works impartially and perfectly
(Romans 2:1) Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, everyone who judges, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself, for you who judge are practicing the same things.
(Romans 2:2) But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those practicing such things.
(Romans 2:3) But do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things yet doing them, that you will escape the judgment of God?
(Romans 2:4) Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
(Romans 2:5) But according to your hardness and impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God,
(Romans 2:6) who will recompense to each one according to his works:
(Romans 2:7) to those who by the endurance of good works are seeking glory and honor and incorruption--eternal life.
(Romans 2:8) But to those who are contentious, and who disobey the truth, but obey unrighteousness--indignation and wrath,
(Romans 2:9) tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that works evil, both of the Jew and of the Greek;
(Romans 2:10) but glory, honor, and peace to everyone that works good, both to the Jew first and to the Greek.
(Romans 2:11) For there is no partiality with God.
(Romans 2:12) For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law
(Romans 2:13) (for not the hearers of the law are righteous with God, but the doers of the law shall be justified;
(Romans 2:14) for whenever Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things of the law, these, not having the law, are a law unto themselves,
(Romans 2:15) who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience witnessing with them, and among themselves their thoughts accuse or even defend them),
(Romans 2:16) in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men according to my gospel through Jesus Christ.
(Romans 2:17) Behold, you are called a Jew, and rest on the law, and boast in God,
(Romans 2:18) and know His will, and approve the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law,
(Romans 2:19) and are persuaded that you are a guide to the blind, a light to those in darkness,
(Romans 2:20) an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
(Romans 2:21) You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal?
(Romans 2:22) You who say, "Do not commit adultery," do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you commit sacrilege?
(Romans 2:23) You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God through the transgression of the law?
(Romans 2:24) For "The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you," just as it is written.
(Romans 2:25) For indeed circumcision profits if you keep the law; but if you are a transgressor of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.
(Romans 2:26) Therefore, if a Gentile keeps the righteous requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision?
(Romans 2:27) And will not the physically uncircumcised, who fulfills the law, judge you along with your written code and circumcision, a transgressor of the law?
(Romans 2:28) For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in flesh;
(Romans 2:29) but he is a Jew that is one inwardly; and circumcision is of the heart, in spirit, not in the letter, whose praise is not of men but of God.
Romans chapter 6 then warns against continuing to sin so that grace may abound for we are now dead to sin because of Jesus who has given us life and not death, the wages of our sin deserves
(Romans 6:1) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?
(Romans 6:2) Certainly not! We died to sin--How shall we live any longer in it?
(Romans 6:3) Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
(Romans 6:4) Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life.
(Romans 6:5) For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall be in the likeness of His resurrection;
(Romans 6:6) knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, so that the body of sin may be done away with, that we should no longer serve sin.
(Romans 6:7) For he who has died has been justified from sin.
(Romans 6:8) But if we died with Christ, we believe that we also shall live together with Him,
(Romans 6:9) knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, no longer dies. Death is no longer master over Him.
(Romans 6:10) For what death He died, He died to sin once for all; but what life He lives, He lives to God.
(Romans 6:11) Likewise you also, consider yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 6:12) Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts,
(Romans 6:13) nor present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
(Romans 6:14) For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
(Romans 6:15) What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!
(Romans 6:16) Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves to whom you obey, whether of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?
(Romans 6:17) But thanks be to God, that though you used to be slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from your heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.
(Romans 6:18) And having been freed from sin, you became enslaved to righteousness.
(Romans 6:19) I speak in human terms on account of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to uncleanness, and to lawlessness resulting in more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness resulting in sanctification.
(Romans 6:20) For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
(Romans 6:21) So what fruit did you have then of which things you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
(Romans 6:22) But now having been freed from sin, and having become enslaved to God, you have your fruit resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life.
(Romans 6:23) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Hebrews chapter 6 also warns against falling away once saved for to come back to repentance would essentially mean crucifying Jesus again but also reassures us that He- Jesus is the anchor to our souls.
(Hebrews 6:1) Therefore, leaving the subject of the beginning of Christ, let us be moved to perfection, not again laying down a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
(Hebrews 6:2) of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
(Hebrews 6:3) And let us do this if indeed God permits.
(Hebrews 6:4) For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and became partakers of the Holy Spirit,
(Hebrews 6:5) and have tasted the good word of God and the powerful deeds of the age to come,
(Hebrews 6:6) and having fallen away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and hold Him up to contempt.
(Hebrews 6:7) For the earth which drinks the rain often coming upon it, and bears suitable vegetation for those on account of whom it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God;
(Hebrews 6:8) but if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, of which the end is for burning.
(Hebrews 6:9) But we are persuaded concerning you, beloved, of better things and those pertaining to salvation, even though we speak in this manner.
(Hebrews 6:10) For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
(Hebrews 6:11) But we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end,
(Hebrews 6:12) lest you become dull, but become imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
(Hebrews 6:13) For when God made a promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,
(Hebrews 6:14) saying, "Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you."
(Hebrews 6:15) And so, after he had been patient, he obtained the promise.
(Hebrews 6:16) For men indeed swear by the greater, and the oath for confirmation is an end of every dispute to them.
(Hebrews 6:17) Thus God, wanting to show even more clearly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His counsel, guaranteed it by an oath,
(Hebrews 6:18) in order that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong encouragement, who have fled to take hold of the hope being set before us;
(Hebrews 6:19) which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and secure, and which enters into the inner side of the veil,
(Hebrews 6:20) where the Forerunner has entered in behalf of us, even Jesus, having become a High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
Though Hebrews chapter 10 speaks of the new covenant and more its real message is a warning against not forsaking assembling together, and especially warns against falling away into deliberate and willful sin- something to avoid at all costs for it is like trampling the blood of Jesus underfoot and counting it as an unholy thing as this chapter’s message of warning states.
(Hebrews 10:1) For the law having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the image itself of the things, can never with the same sacrifices, which they offer continually every year, make those approaching perfect.
(Hebrews 10:2) Otherwise they would not have ceased to be offered, because the worshippers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.
(Hebrews 10:3) But in them there is a reminder of sins every year.
(Hebrews 10:4) For it is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
(Hebrews 10:5) Therefore, when He entered into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me.
(Hebrews 10:6) In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure.
(Hebrews 10:7) Then I said, 'Behold, I have come--In the volume of the book it is written of Me-- To do Your will, O God.' "
(Hebrews 10:8) Earlier saying, "Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and sacrifices for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them" (which are offered according to the law),
(Hebrews 10:9) then He has said, "Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first in order that He may establish the second.
(Hebrews 10:10) By which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
(Hebrews 10:11) And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which are never able to take away sins.
(Hebrews 10:12) But He Himself, having offered one sacrifice for sins forever, He sat down at the right hand of God,
(Hebrews 10:13) from that time waiting till His enemies are placed as a footstool for His feet.
(Hebrews 10:14) For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
(Hebrews 10:15) But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
(Hebrews 10:16) "This is the covenant which I shall covenant with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws on their hearts, and I will inscribe them on their minds,
(Hebrews 10:17) and their sins and their lawless deeds I shall by no means remember any longer."
(Hebrews 10:18) Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
(Hebrews 10:19) Therefore, brothers, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,
(Hebrews 10:20) by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,
(Hebrews 10:21) and having a High Priest over the house of God,
(Hebrews 10:22) let us approach with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies having been washed with clean water.
(Hebrews 10:23) Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
(Hebrews 10:24) And let us consider one another for the stirring up of love and of good works,
(Hebrews 10:25) not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, just as is the custom for some, but exhorting one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
(Hebrews 10:26) For if we sin willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
(Hebrews 10:27) but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery zeal being about to devour the adversaries.
(Hebrews 10:28) Anyone disregarding the law of Moses dies without compassions on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
(Hebrews 10:29) By how much worse punishment, do you think, will he be deemed worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, and has regarded as common the blood of the covenant, by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
(Hebrews 10:30) For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine; I will repay," says the Lord. And again, "The LORD will judge His people."
(Hebrews 10:31) It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God!
(Hebrews 10:32) But remember the former days, in which after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle of sufferings,
(Hebrews 10:33) in part being exposed publicly, both to reproaches and to afflictions, and in part having become partners of those treated in this way.
(Hebrews 10:34) For you sympathized with me in my chains, and you received the plunder of your possessions with joy, knowing that you have for yourselves a better and enduring possession in heaven.
(Hebrews 10:35) Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has a great recompense.
(Hebrews 10:36) For you have need of endurance, so that having done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
(Hebrews 10:37) "For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not delay.
(Hebrews 10:38) But the just shall live by faith, and if he withdraws, My soul has no pleasure in him."
(Hebrews 10:39) But we are not of those shrinking back to destruction, but of faith, to the saving of the soul.
Hebrews chapter 12 states that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses and warns that God will chasten who He loves and also warns again against falling away because God is a consuming fire
(Hebrews 12:1) So therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every impediment, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
(Hebrews 12:2) looking unto Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
(Hebrews 12:3) For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you be weary and discouraged in your souls.
(Hebrews 12:4) You have not yet resisted to the point of bloodshed, struggling against sin.
(Hebrews 12:5) And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: "My son, do not despise the discipline of the LORD, nor be discouraged when you are reproved;
(Hebrews 12:6) For whom the LORD loves He disciplines, and scourges every son whom He receives."
(Hebrews 12:7) It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons. For what son is there whom a father does not discipline?
(Hebrews 12:8) But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.
(Hebrews 12:9) Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we respected them. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?
(Hebrews 12:10) For they indeed for a few days were disciplining us, as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, in order to partake of His holiness.
(Hebrews 12:11) Now no discipline seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, later it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those having been trained by it.
(Hebrews 12:12) Therefore strengthen the hands which are weakened, and the feeble knees,
(Hebrews 12:13) and make straight paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be turned aside, but rather be healed.
(Hebrews 12:14) Pursue peace and holiness with all people, without which no one shall see the Lord:
(Hebrews 12:15) looking diligently lest anyone fall from the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness growing up cause trouble, and through this many be defiled;
(Hebrews 12:16) lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who in exchange for one meal gave up his birthright.
(Hebrews 12:17) For you know that indeed afterward, wishing to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, having sought it out diligently with tears.
(Hebrews12:18) For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and to a whirlwind,
(Hebrews 12:19) and to a sound of a trumpet and to a voice of words, which those who heard begged that no further word be spoken to them.
(Hebrews 12:20) For they could not bear that which was commanded: "And if so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned."
(Hebrews 12:21) And so fearful was the spectacle, that Moses said, "I am greatly afraid and trembling."
(Hebrews 12:22) But you have come to Zion, to the Mountain and city of the living God, to a heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels,
(Hebrews 12:23) to the general assembly and church of the firstborn in the heavens, to God the Judge of all, and to spirits of just men made perfect,
(Hebrews 12:24) and to Jesus, the Mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling which speaks better things than the blood of Abel.
(Hebrews 12:25) See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape, having refused Him who warned them, how much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who warns from heaven;
(Hebrews 12:26) whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also the heaven."
(Hebrews 12:27) Now the phrase, "Yet once more," signifies the removal of the things being shaken, as having been made, so that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.
(Hebrews 12:28) Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us have grace, through which we serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
(Hebrews 12:29) For our God is a consuming fire.
2 Peter chapter 2 is another chapter that warns of false teaching and falling away from grace of God and that it is easy to fall away as well
(2 Peter 2:1) But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master, the One having bought them, and bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
(2 Peter 2:2) And many will follow after their debaucheries, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.
(2 Peter 2:3) And by covetousness they will exploit you with fabricated words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction will not sleep.
(2 Peter 2:4) For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but rather confined them to Tartarus, and delivered them into chains of darkness, reserved for judgment;
(2 Peter 2:5) and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, the eighth, a preacher of righteousness, when He brought a flood upon the ungodly world;
(2 Peter 2:6) and reducing the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes, He condemned them to destruction, having made them an example who were to be ungodly,
(2 Peter 2:7) and He rescued righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the indecent conduct of lawless men
(2 Peter 2:8) (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, tormented his righteous soul by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)--
(2 Peter 2:9) then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and how to keep the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,
(2 Peter 2:10) and especially those who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are bold, self-willed, illustrious persons, they do not tremble at blaspheming,
(2 Peter 2:11) whereas angels, being greater in might and in power, do not bring a slanderous judgment against them before the Lord.
(2 Peter 2:12) But these, as unreasoning natural animals, having been born for capture and destruction, blaspheme at things which they are ignorant of, and shall be destroyed in their destruction,
(2 Peter 2:13) receiving the wages of unrighteousness, counting as a pleasure to revel in the daytime, they are spots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions while they feast with you,
(2 Peter 2:14) having eyes full of adultery and unable to cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart having been trained in greediness, they are accursed children.
(2 Peter 2:15) They have left behind the straight way and gone astray, having followed after the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
(2 Peter 2:16) but he was rebuked for his own lawlessness: a dumb donkey speaking with the voice of a man restrained the madness of the prophet.
(2 Peter 2:17) These are waterless wells, clouds being driven by a storm, for whom the darkness of the netherworld has been reserved forever.
(2 Peter 2:18) For when they speak haughty words of emptiness, they entice through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, those who are escaping from those who are living in error,
2 Peter 2:19) promising to them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom anyone has been defeated, by this one also he has been enslaved.
(2 Peter 2:20) For if having escaped from the corruptions of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, yet by these, having become entangled they are defeated, the latter end has become worse for them than the first.
(2 Peter 2:21) For it was better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than knowing it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
(2 Peter 2:22) But it has happened to them according to the saying of the true proverb: "A dog returns to his own vomit," and, "A sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire."
We must take heed to these warnings for the rapture is indeed at the door
I will wrap this up by giving a presentation on the rapture which I strongly urge all readers to pray to be ready for because you do not want to miss it and then have to face the seven year tribulations period which will be more terrible than any other time on the earth because you missed the rapture something you did not need to do so please call out to Jesus today so you do not miss this rapture
Rapture
I will conclude and wrap this teaching up by saying that the way people are now(not too unlike the way they were at Noah’s time and also the time Sodom, which are things which Jesus prophesied about in scriptures in Matthew, Mark and Luke)and all the many other end times signs which are occurring currently(animals dying, food prices rising, wars, rumors of wars, crazy weather and so on) are birth pangs of the coming tribulation period and sure signs the rapture is not far way, indeed, I still believe that the rapture could be any day at any time, of which the Heavenly Father only knows). So cheer up, your redemption is drawing closer and closer every day that passes. Also please remember that Jesus loves you more than You can possibly know, and also by posting this about the rapture, too, which does duplicate some of the scriptures, but that is for emphasis for the rapture is too important and you absolutely DO NOT want to miss it:
THE RAPTURE IS IMMINENT!!! ARE YOU READY????
I am very strongly led to believe the rapture is very imminent, and could happen any day at anytime at all. Nobody knows the exact time for the rapture but the Father God Himself. I cannot strongly enough advise all of you to get your hearts right with Jesus by asking the Holy Spirit to reveal to you if there is any Sin /iniquity/ uncleanness in your heart, mind etc and repenting of any and all items brought to your mind right away, asking the Holy Spirit to cleanse you and your garments so that they are spotless, being washed by the blood of Jesus. I am a man, needing the blood of Jesus for cleansing as much as everyone else, and believe me I am doing the same thing. This repenting is a continuous process, not just a one time thing; I have found that I myself have been repenting several times throughout the day. I know that it will be God's grace and mercy ONLY that I make the rapture, not anything I do, I am well aware of the fact that grace alone being what saves, and not works lest any should boast, but also faith without works is dead so I am sharing this with everyone, in the hopes that a few, even just one person, would wake up in time, and repent, for the remaining time here is very short.
I post and share this document for I deeply care for people and DO NOT want anyone to miss the rapture and find themselves left behind to face the 7 year tribulations which will follow the rapture which will be pure a horrific time on earth, the most horrific ever, in fact, where you will have to hide in caves or in mountains, away from all the evil and very selfish people, be an absolute survival expert, which many are not and absolutely refuse at all costs to take the mark of the beast(666).As a result of your refusal to take this mark, you won’t be able to buy or sell anything, work, eat, live in a normal way, and so on, and most likely you’ll be killed for it, but that is far better than taking the mark and ending up in the lake of fire for eternity, as each and every man and woman who take the mark of the beast will end up in the lake of fire, where there will be absolutely no rest from their torment night or day(Revelation 14). Even doing all the precautions, hiding by getting away from all population centers and into the mountains, and so on may not be enough because many if not most people, in fact will not survive the judgments that God will pour out on the world in this time period, in the seal, trumpet and bowl judgments as well as the judgment and destruction of the daughter of Babylon. All these events are described in good detail in the book of Revelation in chapters 6 through 18, which I strongly advise all to read. Here is a link an excellent animated video of the entire book of revelation for you to watch
The tribulation period of seven years absolutely will make today's evil world seem like life in paradise by comparison. I very strongly suggest reading the book of Revelation chapters 6 through 18 which tell you specifically what sort of events and judgments the world will see during this tribulation period.
Here are some rapture related scriptures:
(1 Corinthians 15:51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
(1 Corinthians 15:52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
(1Thessolonians 4:16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
(1Thessolonians 4:17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
God wants to keep us from this tribulation by His love and mercy Because thou has kept the word of my patience, I ALSO WILL KEEP THEE FROM THE HOUR OF TEMPTATION, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." The implication of this verse is obvious: If the end-time Christian does NOT stay close to the Lord and endure to the end, HE WILL NOT BE KEPT FROM THE TRIBULATION HOUR Revelation 3 verse 10, so it is IMPERATIVE to stay close to the Lord in these last days.
Now I have a very special warning message to all those who are lukewarm Christians to repent of this condition and to be on fire for Jesus or Jesus will surely spit you out of the rapture(see verse 16, below) and you will go through the seven year tribulation as it says in Revelation 3 14-22. There are FAR TOO MANY are in this condition the Holy Spirit warned me this AM. There are FAR TOO MANY LAODICEANS today. Please REPENT NOW of your lukewarmness and be on fire for the Lord before it is too late and you miss the rapture as a result of your being lukewarm!! Here are the verses in Revelation chapter 3 concerning the Laodicean church:
(Revelation 3:14) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
(Revelation 3:15) I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
(Revelation 3:16) So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
(Revelation 3:17) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
(Revelation 3:18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
(Revelation 3:19) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
(Revelation 3:20) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
(Revelation 3:21) To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
(Revelation 3:22) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Summarizing, you MUST all be ready for this coming rapture, AND be on FIRE for Jesus, and not be at all lukewarm but loving Jesus with ALL Your heart, mind and soul as commanded in the bible, in several places in both the old and new testaments. If in case you need to receive the Lord please pray the following prayer (backsliders can also use this prayer to repent of their sin and lukewarmness and recommit their lives, and return to their first love, Jesus. Please do so NOW before it is too late)
Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess Jesus as our Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we will be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself. Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.
Amen.
Here are 10 steps that can be of help to be ready for the soon to come rapture:
1. Make sure that you have received Jesus Christ into your life as your PERSONAL Lord and Savior(see the salvation prayer above and use it if need be).
2. Examine your own heart for any signs of backsliding, worldliness, unwatchfulness, compromising, and lukewarmness.
3. REPENT (Turn COMPLETELY away from sin and turn COMPLETELY around towards Jesus). Sin separates you from God, even as a Christian.
4. Study end-time Biblical prophecy(Daniel 7-12, Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 17, 21, 1 Corinthians 15, 1 Thessalonians 4 and 5, other places but the book of Revelation in particular) until you become completely convinced that His Coming is, indeed, AT THE DOOR. This will help keep you from temptation and sin. JESUS IS COMING VERY SOON!!! Lord help me be absolutely convinced YOU ARE at the door!!!!!
5. Do something for the Lord. (Passing out tracts would be a good start.)
6. Examine your priorities, lest the CARES OF THIS LIFE cause YOU to MISS THE RAPTURE, as we are so adamantly WARNED about in Luke 21, and so many other Scriptures.
7. Draw closer to God by praying, reading His Word, attending a fundamental church as often as possible, and surround yourself with a Christian atmosphere (Christian friends, books, music, radio, TV, etc.)
8. PRAY DILIGENTLY. ASK THE LORD TO REVEAL TO YOU ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE THAT EVEN MIGHT KEEP YOU FROM THE RAPTURE. PRAY THAT THE LORD WOULD GIVE YOU A PEACE, IF YOU ARE READY, AND AN UNREST AND UNEASINESS IN YOUR HEART, IF YOU ARE NOT READY.
9. Listen for His voice and then STAY OPEN TO THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
10. Act upon that which the Lord is calling you to do. DO IT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!
Please also pray and ask the Lord Jesus to see if you are indeed ready and to give you peace if you and If the Lord has planted even the least bit of doubt or uneasiness in your heart, will you swallow your pride and pray this prayer with me:
"Dear Lord, Thank you for preparing a WAY OF ESCAPE from the horrible Tribulation to come. It is my sincere desire to be ready for your Soon Return, so that I can participate in the Rapture. Give me a COMPLETE PEACE IN MY HEART FROM YOU if I am, indeed, ready. Let there be no false sense of security in my heart concerning my readiness for Your Return. Begin to reveal to me things in my life and in my heart that might keep me from the Rapture. Show me what I need to do to BE READY and then give me the power to act upon that which you show me to do. Draw me away from the world and closer to you every day. Use me in whatever way you can to help others
who may not be ready for your Return. Fill me with your peace when I am ready and fill me with YOUR POWER, for victory over sin and temptation, and for effective service for your kingdom. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen
If, by an unfortunate chance, you are finding yourself reading this testimony after the rapture has happened, and you find that you have missed it, everything is not lost by any means, just please pray immediately to accept the Lord Jesus as savior and /or recommit your life to Him, repenting of anything and everything that you have done that has caused you to miss the rapture, especially such things as being lukewarm and whatever else you may do during that time absolutely DO NOT TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST OR YOU WILL SPEND ETERNITY IN THE LAKE OF FIRE!!!!!(taking the mark of the beast means you are essentially married to Satan, the antichrist, the beast and false prophet, ALL OF WHOM ARE DESTINED FOR THE LAKE OF FIRE, AS ARE ALL WHO TAKE THEIR MARK ON THEIR FOREHEAD OR HAND). IT IS NOT AT ALL FORGIVABLE TO TAKE THIS MARK- so again you must avoid taking this mark AT ALL COSTS you won’t be able to buy, sell, work, and so on, you will have to hide, living in the forest and away from civilization, face jail, torture, and be executed for refusing the mark. If you do die for refusing to take the mark of the beast, if you are Jesus’ you will go to heaven immediately as a tribulation saint and martyr spoken of in the book of revelation. I cannot strongly stress the point enough to NEVER, EVER accept the mark of the beast, no matter what!!!! It will be well worth it to lose everything and everyone in this world, including your life so as to not have to spend all eternity in hell and the lake of fire, where again there will be never any rest on your torment day or night.
