end times chapters from the epistles
9 end times chapters from the epistles bible study
Here is a group of 9 full chapters from the epistles in the bible which all have some end times and rapture related messages. These come from 1 Corinthians, the Epistles to the Thessalonians, the Epistles of Timothy and 2 Peter, and also I will include a message relating to the rapture which will review some of the scriptures included in this bible study. The other verses in the chapters which are not really end times related and are also included to encourage and help you grow.
The first chapter included is 1 Corinthians 15 which is known as the resurrection chapter in the bible speaking of the resurrection in Him and our hope because He rose from the dead that we ourselves will rise and be changed.
(1 Corinthians 15:1) Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand,
(1 Corinthians 15:2) and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you--unless you believed in vain.
(1 Corinthians 15:3) For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,
(1 Corinthians 15:4) that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,
(1 Corinthians 15:5) and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
(1 Corinthians 15:6) Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.
(1 Corinthians 15:7) Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.
(1 Corinthians 15:8) Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.
(1 Corinthians 15:9) For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
(1 Corinthians 15:10) But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.
(1 Corinthians 15:11) Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.
(1 Corinthians 15:12) Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
(1 Corinthians 15:13) But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised.
(1 Corinthians 15:14) And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.
(1 Corinthians 15:15) We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised.
(1 Corinthians 15:16) For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised.
(1 Corinthians 15:17) And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.
(1 Corinthians 15:18) Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
(1 Corinthians 15:19) If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.
(1 Corinthians 15:20) But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
(1 Corinthians 15:21) For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.
(1 Corinthians 15:22) For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
(1 Corinthians 15:23) But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.
(1 Corinthians 15:24) Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.
(1 Corinthians 15:25) For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
(1 Corinthians 15:26) The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
(1 Corinthians 15:27) For "God has put all things in subjection under his feet." But when it says, "all things are put in subjection," it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him.
(1 Corinthians 15:28) When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.
(1 Corinthians 15:29) Otherwise, what do people mean by being baptized on behalf of the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized on their behalf?
(1 Corinthians 15:30) Why are we in danger every hour?
(1 Corinthians 15:31) I protest, brothers, by my pride in you, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die every day!
(1 Corinthians 15:32) What do I gain if, humanly speaking, I fought with beasts at Ephesus? If the dead are not raised, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die."
(1 Corinthians 15:33) Do not be deceived: "Bad company ruins good morals."
(1 Corinthians 15:34) Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
(1 Corinthians 15:35) But someone will ask, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?"
(1 Corinthians 15:36) You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.
(1 Corinthians 15:37) And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain.
(1 Corinthians 15:38) But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body.
(1 Corinthians 15:39) For not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish.
(1 Corinthians 15:40) There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is of one kind, and the glory of the earthly is of another.
(1 Corinthians 15:41) There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.
(1 Corinthians 15:42) So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable.
(1 Corinthians 15:43) It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.
(1 Corinthians 15:44) It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
(1 Corinthians 15:45) Thus it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
(1 Corinthians 15:46) But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual.
(1 Corinthians 15:47) The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.
(1 Corinthians 15:48) As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven.
(1 Corinthians 15:49) Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.
(1 Corinthians 15:50) I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
(1 Corinthians 15:51) Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
(1 Corinthians 15:52) in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
(1 Corinthians 15:53) For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.
(1 Corinthians 15:54) When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."
(1 Corinthians 15:55) "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?"
(1 Corinthians 15:56) The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
(1 Corinthians 15:57) But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(1 Corinthians 15:58) Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
The next chapter 1 Thessalonians 4 commends the Thessalonians for their love but also goes on to speak of the coming rapture and what will happen then and asks us to encourage each other with those words
(1 Thessalonians 4:1) Finally then, brothers, we request of you and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you should abound more.
(1 Thessalonians 4:2) For you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
(1 Thessalonians 4:3) For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from fornication,
(1 Thessalonians 4:4) that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,
(1 Thessalonians 4:5) not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God,
(1 Thessalonians 4:6) that no one should transgress against and to defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger concerning all, just as we told you before and solemnly testified.
(1 Thessalonians 4:7) For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in sanctification.
(1 Thessalonians 4:8) Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has given His Holy Spirit to you.
(1 Thessalonians 4:9) Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for me to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.
(1 Thessalonians 4:10) For indeed you do so toward all the brothers in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brothers, that you increase more and more,
(1 Thessalonians 4:11) and that you aspire to be quiet, and to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, just as we commanded you,
(1 Thessalonians 4:12) in order that you may walk decently toward those outside, and may have need of nothing.
(1 Thessalonians 4:13) Now we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, concerning those who have died, lest you be sorrowful as those who have no hope.
(1 Thessalonians 4:14) For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, thus also God will bring with Him those who die in Jesus.
(1 Thessalonians 4:15) For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall by no means precede those who are dead.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16) Because the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a word of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
(1 Thessalonians 4:17) Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
(1 Thessalonians 4:18) So then comfort one another with these words.
Next in 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 the text reminds us to be watchful for the Lord will come as a thief in the night and to encourage one another and love and later in the chapter Paul gives a list of things to do as well.
(1 Thessalonians 5:1) But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that I should write to you.
(1 Thessalonians 5:2) For you yourselves know accurately that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
(1 Thessalonians 5:3) For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, just as labor pains upon the woman that is pregnant, and they shall by no means escape.
(1 Thessalonians 5:4) But you, brothers, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
(1 Thessalonians 5:5) You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
(1 Thessalonians 5:6) Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
(1 Thessalonians 5:7) For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those getting drunk, are drunk at night.
(1 Thessalonians 5:8) But we, since we are of the day, let us be sober, putting on a breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.
(1 Thessalonians 5:9) For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
(1 Thessalonians 5:10) who died for us, in order that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him.
(1 Thessalonians 5:11) Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
(1 Thessalonians 5:12) And we request of you, brothers, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and instruct you,
(1 Thessalonians 5:13) and to regard them beyond all measure in love, because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.
(1 Thessalonians 5:14) Now we exhort you, brothers, admonish the disorderly, encourage the discouraged, be supportive of the weak, be patient toward all.
(1 Thessalonians 5:15) See that no one pays back evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue that which is good, both for one another and for all.
(1 Thessalonians 5:16) Rejoice always!
(1 Thessalonians 5:17) Pray without ceasing!
(1 Thessalonians 5:18) In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
(1 Thessalonians 5:19) Do not quench the Spirit.
(1 Thessalonians 5:20) Do not despise prophecies.
(1 Thessalonians 5:21) But test all things; hold fast that which is good.
(1 Thessalonians 5:22) Abstain from every form of evil.
(1 Thessalonians 5:23) Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(1 Thessalonians 5:24) He who calls you is faithful, who also will do this.
(1 Thessalonians 5:25) Brothers, pray for us.
(1 Thessalonians 5:26) Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.
(1 Thessalonians 5:27) I adjure you by the Lord for this letter to be read to all the holy brothers.
(1 Thessalonians 5:28) The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
In 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 is prophesied the coming of the anti-Christ and the foul one, also of the strong delusion sent by God to delude those who reject the truth yet the verses also want us to encourage each other too.
(2 Thessalonians 2:1) Now, brothers, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we beseech you,
(2 Thessalonians 2:2) not to be quickly shaken from your mind, nor be disturbed, neither by spirit nor by word nor by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ has come.
(2 Thessalonians 2:3) Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is unveiled, the son of perdition,
(2 Thessalonians 2:4) who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or every object of worship, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
(2 Thessalonians 2:5) Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?
(2 Thessalonians 2:6) And now you know that which is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.
(2 Thessalonians 2:7) For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will continue until one comes out of the midst.
(2 Thessalonians 2:8) And then the lawless one will be unveiled, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth, and will destroy by the brightness of His coming,
(2 Thessalonians 2:9) whose coming is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,
(2 Thessalonians 2:10) and in all deception of unrighteousness among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
(2 Thessalonians 2:11) And because of this, God will send them strong delusion, in order for them to believe the lie,
(2 Thessalonians 2:12) so that they all might be damned who did not believe the truth, but delighted in unrighteousness.
(2 Thessalonians 2:13) But we are obligated to give thanks to God always for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth,
(2 Thessalonians 2:14) to which He called you through our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(2 Thessalonians 2:15) So then, brothers, stand fast and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our letter.
(2 Thessalonians 2:16) Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and a good hope by grace,
(2 Thessalonians 2:17) comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.
In 1 Timothy chapter 6 Paul warns about greed and covetousness as well as false teachings in these days warning about the love of money and encourages us to flee such things and keep strong until Jesus’ coming again.
(1 Timothy 6:1) Let as many as are slaves under a yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and His doctrine may not be blasphemed.
(1 Timothy 6:2) And those having believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brothers, but rather let them serve as slaves, because those receiving the good service are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.
(1 Timothy 6:3) If anyone teaches differently and does not consent to sound words, even those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness,
(1 Timothy 6:4) he is puffed up, understanding nothing, but is morbidly concerned with disputes and word battles, from which come envy, strife, slanders, evil suspicions,
(1 Timothy 6:5) constant wranglings of men of corrupt minds and having been deprived of the truth, supposing that godliness is a means of profit. Withdraw from such people.
(1 Timothy 6:6) But godliness with contentment is great gain.
(1 Timothy 6:7) For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that neither can we carry anything out!
(1 Timothy 6:8) But having food and clothing, with these things we shall be content.
(1 Timothy 6:9) But those desiring to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many senseless and harmful lusts which sink men in destruction and perdition.
(1 Timothy 6:10) For the love of money is a root of all evils, of which some by aspiring have strayed away from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
(1 Timothy 6:11) You however, O man of God, flee these things. But pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.
(1 Timothy 6:12) Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold of eternal life, to which you were called and have confessed the good confession before many witnesses.
(1 Timothy 6:13) I charge you before God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate,
(1 Timothy 6:14) that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
(1 Timothy 6:15) which He will show in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
(1 Timothy 6:16) who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or is able to see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.
(1 Timothy 6:17) Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to put their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, who provides all things richly for us to enjoy,
(1 Timothy 6:18) to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous, sharing,
(1 Timothy 6:19) storing up for yourselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold of eternal life.
(1 Timothy 6:20) O Timothy! Guard that which was committed to your trust, turning away from the profane and empty babblings and opposing views of what is falsely called "knowledge,"
(1 Timothy 6:21) which some, by professing expertise, missed the mark concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.
2 Timothy chapter 3 speaks of how evil people will become in the last days in detail but also encourages how scripture is useful for correction and reproof
(2 Timothy 3:1) But know this, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
(2 Timothy 3:2) For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
(2 Timothy 3:3) unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, not loving what is good,
(2 Timothy 3:4) traitors, headstrong, having been puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
(2 Timothy 3:5) having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from these people turn away!
(2 Timothy 3:6) For of these are those who creep into houses and captivate gullible women having been loaded down with sins, who are led by various lusts,
(2 Timothy 3:7) always learning and never being able to come to a full knowledge of the truth.
(2 Timothy 3:8) And in just the way Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, thus also these resist the truth: men corrupted in mind, disapproved regarding the faith.
(2 Timothy 3:9) But they shall not advance further, for their folly shall be manifest to all, as also theirs became.
(2 Timothy 3:10) You however have carefully followed my doctrine, lifestyle, purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,
(2 Timothy 3:11) persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, in Iconium, at Lystra--what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.
(2 Timothy 3:12) Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
(2 Timothy 3:13) But evil men and impostors shall advance worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
(2 Timothy 3:14) But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you learned them,
(2 Timothy 3:15) and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
(2 Timothy 3:16) All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
(2 Timothy 3:17) that the man of God may be proficient, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy chapter 4 again speaks and warns of false teachings and teachers in the last days and how people will have itching ears and so be lead away by fables and some personal things on Paul
(2 Timothy 4:1) I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is going to judge the living and the dead in accordance with His appearing and His kingdom:
(2 Timothy 4:2) preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all patience and teaching.
(2 Timothy 4:3) For there will be a time when they will not put up with sound doctrine, but according to their own lusts, they will heap up for themselves teachers, tickling their ears,
(2 Timothy 4:4) and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to myths.
(2 Timothy 4:5) You however be watchful in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
(2 Timothy 4:6) For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has arrived.
(2 Timothy 4:7) I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
(2 Timothy 4:8) Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved His appearing.
(2 Timothy 4:9) Be diligent to come to me quickly.
(2 Timothy 4:10) For Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and traveled to Thessalonica--Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.
(2 Timothy 4:11) Luke alone is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for ministry.
(2 Timothy 4:12) And Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
(2 Timothy 4:13) Bring the cloak which I left with Carpus at Troas when you come--and the books, especially the parchments.
(2 Timothy 4:14) Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm. May the Lord repay him according to his works;
(2 Timothy 4:15) whom you also should guard against, for he has greatly resisted our words.
(2 Timothy 4:16) At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be reckoned to them.
(2 Timothy 4:17) But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation might be fulfilled, and all the Gentiles might hear, and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
(2 Timothy 4:18) And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
(2 Timothy 4:19) Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
(2 Timothy 4:20) Erastus stayed in Corinth, but Trophimus I have left in Miletus sick.
(2 Timothy 4:21) Be diligent to come before winter. Eubulus greets you, as well as Pudens, Linus, Claudia, and all the brothers.
(2 Timothy 4:22) The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
2 Peter chapter 2 also speaks of false teachers and their corruptions and how they cannot even really get out of what they do
(2 Peter 2:1) But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master, the One having bought them, and bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
(2 Peter 2:2) And many will follow after their debaucheries, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.
(2 Peter 2:3) And by covetousness they will exploit you with fabricated words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction will not sleep.
(2 Peter 2:4) For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but rather confined them to Tartarus, and delivered them into chains of darkness, reserved for judgment;
(2 Peter 2:5) and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, the eighth, a preacher of righteousness, when He brought a flood upon the ungodly world;
(2 Peter 2:6) and reducing the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes, He condemned them to destruction, having made them an example who were to be ungodly,
(2 Peter 2:7) and He rescued righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the indecent conduct of lawless men
(2 Peter 2:8) (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, tormented his righteous soul by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)--
(2 Peter 2:9) then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and how to keep the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,
(2 Peter 2:10) and especially those who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are bold, self-willed, illustrious persons, they do not tremble at blaspheming,
(2 Peter 2:11) whereas angels, being greater in might and in power, do not bring a slanderous judgment against them before the Lord.
(2 Peter 2:12) But these, as unreasoning natural animals, having been born for capture and destruction, blaspheme at things which they are ignorant of, and shall be destroyed in their destruction,
(2 Peter 2:13) receiving the wages of unrighteousness, counting as a pleasure to revel in the daytime, they are spots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions while they feast with you,
(2 Peter 2:14) having eyes full of adultery and unable to cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart having been trained in greediness, they are accursed children.
(2 Peter 2:15) They have left behind the straight way and gone astray, having followed after the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
(2 Peter 2:16) but he was rebuked for his own lawlessness: a dumb donkey speaking with the voice of a man restrained the madness of the prophet.
(2 Peter 2:17) These are waterless wells, clouds being driven by a storm, for whom the darkness of the netherworld has been reserved forever.
(2 Peter 2:18) For when they speak haughty words of emptiness, they entice through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, those who are escaping from those who are living in error,
(2 Peter 2:19) promising to them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom anyone has been defeated, by this one also he has been enslaved.
(2 Peter 2:20) For if having escaped from the corruptions of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, yet by these, having become entangled they are defeated, the latter end has become worse for them than the first.
(2 Peter 2:21) For it was better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than knowing it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
(2 Peter 2:22) But it has happened to them according to the saying of the true proverb: "A dog returns to his own vomit," and, "A sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire."
2 Peter chapter 3 is Peters strong end times message prophesying how people will scoff and mock during these end days but how the Lord is patient wanting people to repent but will indeed come and judge and destroy the world of its unrighteousness
(2 Peter 3:1) This already, beloved, is the second letter I write to you, in both of which I stir up your pure mind by a reminder,
(2 Peter 3:2) to remember the words having been previously spoken by the holy prophets, and the commandment of your apostles of the Lord and Savior;
(2 Peter 3:3) knowing this first: that mockers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,
(2 Peter 3:4) and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers died, all things continue as from the beginning of creation."
(2 Peter 3:5) For this they willingly forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth, consisting out of water and through water,
(2 Peter 3:6) by which the world at that time perished, being flooded by water;
(2 Peter 3:7) but the present heavens and earth, having been stored up by His word, are being reserved for fire until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
(2 Peter 3:8) But in this let it not escape your notice, beloved, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
(2 Peter 3:9) The Lord does not delay concerning His promise, as some reckon slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
(2 Peter 3:10) But the day of the Lord shall come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a rushing noise, and the elements, burning with heat, shall be dissolved, both the earth and the works that are in it shall be burned up.
(2 Peter 3:11) Therefore, seeing that all these things shall be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
(2 Peter 3:12) looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens, being set of fire, shall be dissolved, and the elements, burning with heat, shall melt?
(2 Peter 3:13) But according to His promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
(2 Peter 3:14) Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot or blemish;
(2 Peter 3:15) and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation--just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote to you,
(2 Peter 3:16) as also in all his letters, speaking in them about these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the unlearned and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
(2 Peter 3:17) You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on guard, lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being carried away by the error of the wicked;
(2 Peter 3:18) but grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
I will wrap this up by giving a presentation on the rapture which I strongly urge all readers to pray to be ready for because you do not want to miss it and then have to face the seven year tribulations period which will be more terrible than any other time on the earth because you missed the rapture something you did not need to do so please call out to Jesus today so you do not miss this rapture
Rapture
I will conclude and wrap this teaching up by saying that the way people are now(not too unlike the way they were at Noah’s time and also the time Sodom, which are things which Jesus prophesied about in scriptures in Matthew, Mark and Luke)and all the many other end times signs which are occurring currently(animals dying, food prices rising, wars, rumors of wars, crazy weather and so on) are birth pangs of the coming tribulation period and sure signs the rapture is not far way, indeed, I still believe that the rapture could be any day at any time, of which the Heavenly Father only knows). So cheer up, your redemption is drawing closer and closer every day that passes. Also please remember that Jesus loves you more than You can possibly know, and also by posting this about the rapture, too, which does duplicate some of the scriptures, but that is for emphasis for the rapture is too important and you absolutely DO NOT want to miss it:
THE RAPTURE IS IMMINENT!!! ARE YOU READY????
I am very strongly led to believe the rapture is very imminent, and could happen any day at anytime at all. Nobody knows the exact time for the rapture but the Father God Himself. I cannot strongly enough advise all of you to get your hearts right with Jesus by asking the Holy Spirit to reveal to you if there is any Sin /iniquity/ uncleanness in your heart, mind etc and repenting of any and all items brought to your mind right away, asking the Holy Spirit to cleanse you and your garments so that they are spotless, being washed by the blood of Jesus. I am a man, needing the blood of Jesus for cleansing as much as everyone else, and believe me I am doing the same thing. This repenting is a continuous process, not just a one time thing; I have found that I myself have been repenting several times throughout the day. I know that it will be God's grace and mercy ONLY that I make the rapture, not anything I do, I am well aware of the fact that grace alone being what saves, and not works lest any should boast, but also faith without works is dead so I am sharing this with everyone, in the hopes that a few, even just one person, would wake up in time, and repent, for the remaining time here is very short.
I post and share this document for I deeply care for people and DO NOT want anyone to miss the rapture and find themselves left behind to face the 7 year tribulations which will follow the rapture which will be pure a horrific time on earth, the most horrific ever, in fact, where you will have to hide in caves or in mountains, away from all the evil and very selfish people, be an absolute survival expert, which many are not and absolutely refuse at all costs to take the mark of the beast(666).As a result of your refusal to take this mark, you won’t be able to buy or sell anything, work, eat, live in a normal way, and so on, and most likely you’ll be killed for it, but that is far better than taking the mark and ending up in the lake of fire for eternity, as each and every man and woman who take the mark of the beast will end up in the lake of fire, where there will be absolutely no rest from their torment night or day(Revelation 14). Even doing all the precautions, hiding by getting away from all population centers and into the mountains, and so on may not be enough because many if not most people, in fact will not survive the judgments that God will pour out on the world in this time period, in the seal, trumpet and bowl judgments as well as the judgment and destruction of the daughter of Babylon. All these events are described in good detail in the book of Revelation in chapters 6 through 18, which I strongly advise all to read. Here is a link an excellent animated video of the entire book of revelation for you to watch
The tribulation period of seven years absolutely will make today's evil world seem like life in paradise by comparison. I very strongly suggest reading the book of Revelation chapters 6 through 18 which tell you specifically what sort of events and judgments the world will see during this tribulation period.
Here are some rapture related scriptures:
(1 Corinthians 15:51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
(1 Corinthians 15:52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
(1Thessolonians 4:16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
(1Thessolonians 4:17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
God wants to keep us from this tribulation by His love and mercy Because thou has kept the word of my patience, I ALSO WILL KEEP THEE FROM THE HOUR OF TEMPTATION, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." The implication of this verse is obvious: If the end-time Christian does NOT stay close to the Lord and endure to the end, HE WILL NOT BE KEPT FROM THE TRIBULATION HOUR Revelation 3 verse 10, so it is IMPERATIVE to stay close to the Lord in these last days.
Now I have a very special warning message to all those who are lukewarm Christians to repent of this condition and to be on fire for Jesus or Jesus will surely spit you out of the rapture(see verse 16, below) and you will go through the seven year tribulation as it says in Revelation 3 14-22. There are FAR TOO MANY are in this condition the Holy Spirit warned me this AM. There are FAR TOO MANY LAODICEANS today. Please REPENT NOW of your lukewarmness and be on fire for the Lord before it is too late and you miss the rapture as a result of your being lukewarm!! Here are the verses in Revelation chapter 3 concerning the Laodicean church:
(Revelation 3:14) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
(Revelation 3:15) I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
(Revelation 3:16) So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
(Revelation 3:17) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
(Revelation 3:18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
(Revelation 3:19) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
(Revelation 3:20) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
(Revelation 3:21) To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
(Revelation 3:22) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Summarizing, you MUST all be ready for this coming rapture, AND be on FIRE for Jesus, and not be at all lukewarm but loving Jesus with ALL Your heart, mind and soul as commanded in the bible, in several places in both the old and new testaments. If in case you need to receive the Lord please pray the following prayer (backsliders can also use this prayer to repent of their sin and lukewarmness and recommit their lives, and return to their first love, Jesus. Please do so NOW before it is too late)
Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess Jesus as our Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we will be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself. Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.
Amen.
Here are 10 steps that can be of help to be ready for the soon to come rapture:
1. Make sure that you have received Jesus Christ into your life as your PERSONAL Lord and Savior(see the salvation prayer above and use it if need be).
2. Examine your own heart for any signs of backsliding, worldliness, unwatchfulness, compromising, and lukewarmness.
3. REPENT (Turn COMPLETELY away from sin and turn COMPLETELY around towards Jesus). Sin separates you from God, even as a Christian.
4. Study end-time Biblical prophecy(Daniel 7-12, Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 17, 21, 1 Corinthians 15, 1 Thessalonians 4 and 5, other places but the book of Revelation in particular) until you become completely convinced that His Coming is, indeed, AT THE DOOR. This will help keep you from temptation and sin. JESUS IS COMING VERY SOON!!! Lord help me be absolutely convinced YOU ARE at the door!!!!!
5. Do something for the Lord. (Passing out tracts would be a good start.)
6. Examine your priorities, lest the CARES OF THIS LIFE cause YOU to MISS THE RAPTURE, as we are so adamantly WARNED about in Luke 21, and so many other Scriptures.
7. Draw closer to God by praying, reading His Word, attending a fundamental church as often as possible, and surround yourself with a Christian atmosphere (Christian friends, books, music, radio, TV, etc.)
8. PRAY DILIGENTLY. ASK THE LORD TO REVEAL TO YOU ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE THAT EVEN MIGHT KEEP YOU FROM THE RAPTURE. PRAY THAT THE LORD WOULD GIVE YOU A PEACE, IF YOU ARE READY, AND AN UNREST AND UNEASINESS IN YOUR HEART, IF YOU ARE NOT READY.
9. Listen for His voice and then STAY OPEN TO THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
10. Act upon that which the Lord is calling you to do. DO IT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!
Please also pray and ask the Lord Jesus to see if you are indeed ready and to give you peace if you and If the Lord has planted even the least bit of doubt or uneasiness in your heart, will you swallow your pride and pray this prayer with me:
"Dear Lord, Thank you for preparing a WAY OF ESCAPE from the horrible Tribulation to come. It is my sincere desire to be ready for your Soon Return, so that I can participate in the Rapture. Give me a COMPLETE PEACE IN MY HEART FROM YOU if I am, indeed, ready. Let there be no false sense of security in my heart concerning my readiness for Your Return. Begin to reveal to me things in my life and in my heart that might keep me from the Rapture. Show me what I need to do to BE READY and then give me the power to act upon that which you show me to do. Draw me away from the world and closer to you every day. Use me in whatever way you can to help others
who may not be ready for your Return. Fill me with your peace when I am ready and fill me with YOUR POWER, for victory over sin and temptation, and for effective service for your kingdom. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen
If, by an unfortunate chance, you are finding yourself reading this testimony after the rapture has happened, and you find that you have missed it, everything is not lost by any means, just please pray immediately to accept the Lord Jesus as savior and /or recommit your life to Him, repenting of anything and everything that you have done that has caused you to miss the rapture, especially such things as being lukewarm and whatever else you may do during that time absolutely DO NOT TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST OR YOU WILL SPEND ETERNITY IN THE LAKE OF FIRE!!!!!(taking the mark of the beast means you are essentially married to Satan, the antichrist, the beast and false prophet, ALL OF WHOM ARE DESTINED FOR THE LAKE OF FIRE, AS ARE ALL WHO TAKE THEIR MARK ON THEIR FOREHEAD OR HAND). IT IS NOT AT ALL FORGIVABLE TO TAKE THIS MARK- so again you must avoid taking this mark AT ALL COSTS you won’t be able to buy, sell, work, and so on, you will have to hide, living in the forest and away from civilization, face jail, torture, and be executed for refusing the mark. If you do die for refusing to take the mark of the beast, if you are Jesus’ you will go to heaven immediately as a tribulation saint and martyr spoken of in the book of revelation. I cannot strongly stress the point enough to NEVER, EVER accept the mark of the beast, no matter what!!!! It will be well worth it to lose everything and everyone in this world, including your life so as to not have to spend all eternity in hell and the lake of fire, where again there will be never any rest on your torment day or night.
