hell tract and teaching
Hell a real place to avoid at all costs a teaching and tract
Hell is a very real place, where people are going and will go. I am including two teachings by Jesus to prove that hell is indeed a real place and also one you do not ever want to go to, and those who go there will go for all eternity!! (same applies however for heaven, that also is for all eternity)
The first teaching in this presentation is from Mark 9 which also describes hell as a place where the fire is never quenched and the worm there never dies, and if Jesus suggests taking drastic measures as cutting off your hand and foot to avoid it even if figuratively, it must be a terrible place indeed (as it is)
(Mark 9:43) And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire.
(Mark 9:45) And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into hell.
(Mark 9:47) And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell,
(Mark 9:48) 'where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.'
Here is a parable told by Jesus about the place called hell or Hades in this story where the rich man goes. It is a place of torment and suffering, completely and forever separated from God.
(Luke 16:19) "There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day.
(Luke 16:20) And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores,
(Luke 16:21) who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man's table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores.
(Luke 16:22) The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried,
(Luke 16:23) and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side.
(Luke 16:24) And he called out, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.'
(Luke 16:25) But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.
(Luke 16:26) And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.'
(Luke 16:27) And he said, 'Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father's house--
(Luke 16:28) for I have five brothers--so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.'
(Luke 16:29) But Abraham said, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.'
(Luke 16:30) And he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.'
(Luke 16:31) He said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.'"
This verse says hell has enlarged itself beyond measure because of the wickedness of people
(Isaiah 5:14) Therefore Sheol has enlarged its appetite and opened its mouth beyond measure, and the nobility of Jerusalem and her multitude will go down, her revelers and he who exults in her.
This verse in Isaiah says this place called hell is for those who reject the Lord
(Isaiah 66:24) "And they shall go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me. For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh."
Here is the great white throne judgment which is for unbelievers who are destined to go to hell, from Revelation chapter 20, where death and Hades(hell) are thrown into the lake of fire for ever(as are all those found there)
(Revelation 20:10) and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
(Revelation 20:11) Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.
(Revelation 20:12) And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.
(Revelation 20:13) And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done.
(Revelation 20:14) Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.
(Revelation 20:15) And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
And this final warning in Revelation 21 and a promise, too
(Revelation 21:6) And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.
(Revelation 21:7) The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
(Revelation 21:8) But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death
In Romans chapter 3 verses 10 through 12 the bible very plainly tells all of us, me included, that we all have fallen short of the standard and done wrong, including many of the things that are listed above
(Romans 3:10) as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one;
(Romans 3:11) no one understands; no one seeks for God.
(Romans 3:12) All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one."
Romans chapter 3 also is very clear that we need to be saved from our own sins that we have committed
(Romans 3:23) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
(Romans 3:24) and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
Here are the consequences of the sin that we have committed
(Romans 6:23) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
This verse we are reminded that God takes no pleasure in those who die, encouraging repentance.
(Ezekiel 18:32) For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord GOD; so turn, and live."
Jesus came for us while we were in those things, so we don’t have to deal with Hell:
(Romans 5:8) but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us
Jesus expresses His purpose of coming to the Earth here in these verses
(John 3:16) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:17) For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
As some of the above verses do remind us, this verse really drives home the point that this is a gift from God and cannot be earned in any ways so God Himself has provided the means to escape hell.
(Ephesians 2:8) For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
(Ephesians 2:9) not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
(2 Corinthians 9:15) Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!
Here Jesus Himself says that He is the only way to Heaven and the Father and in so doing avoid hell that Jesus Himself spoke of
(John 14:6) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
But Jesus also makes it clear in Revelation that He indeed is seeking people always
(Revelation 3:20) Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
Take a look at this verse in Timothy stating that God does really care about His people being saved and turning from their evil ways
(1 Timothy 2:4) who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Here is a verse in 2 Peter to remind us that the Lord wants people to repent from their sins and is patient in that end
(2 Peter 3:9) The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
What are the keys to repentance? Here is a verse in 1 John
(1 John 1:9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
And here are the two key verses in Romans 10 about Salvation:
(Romans 10:9) because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
(Romans 10:10) For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
(Romans 10:11) For the Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame."
(Romans 10:12) For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.
(Romans 10:13) For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
I am sure you have now seen enough now to be ready to pray to be saved and thus avoid hell and gain heaven and life everlasting with Jesus in the process. All men will go either to hell or heaven it is their choice so by all means please accept Jesus now as your personal Lord and Savior to go to heaven and not hell. I am now including a short prayer that you can say to ensure that you are saved and have eternal life when you die, going to heaven to be with Jesus forever and not end up going to hell.
Heavenly Father I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I confess to You that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. I confess and repent of all of my sins and unrighteousness. Right now I confess with my mouth Jesus as the Lord of my life and believe in my heart that You, God did indeed raise Him from the dead. I thank You for cleansing and forgiving me of all of my sins and unrighteousness and for saving me. I thank You for sending Your Son to die in my place for my sins, and for the inexpressible gift of eternal life that I now claim through the death of Jesus on the cross. Thank You, Lord, again for saving me. In the Name of Jesus I pray Amen
