You must be born again gospel tract
You must be born again gospel tract
Here are the words of Jesus Himself that He shared in various chapters of the gospel of John showing how and why we really do need Him for salvation and Heaven and how Jesus really wants this relationship with us
First here is a verse which indicates both His death and His raising
(John 2:19) Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."
In these verses in John chapter 3 Jesus tells Nicodemus he must be born again of the spirit- true of everyone
(John 3:3) Jesus answered him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."
(John 3:4) Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"
(John 3:5) Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
(John 3:6) That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
(John 3:7) Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
Jesus expresses His purpose of coming to the Earth here in these verses
(John 3:16) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:17) For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
(John 3:18) Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
This message is further confirmed in John 5, two verses speaking of eternal life
(John 5:24) Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
(John 5:25) "Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.
These verses in John 8 confirm that Jesus indeed can set all free
(John 8:31) So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,
(John 8:32) and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
(John 8:33) They answered him, "We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, 'You will become free'?"
(John 8:34) Jesus answered them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.
(John 8:35) The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever.
(John 8:36) So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Jesus again expresses the message that He is the door and that He willingly sets down and takes up His life, which is given to Him of the Father
(John 10:9) I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.
(John 10:10) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
(John 10:11) I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
(John 10:17) For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again.
(John 10:18) No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father."
Here Jesus Himself says that He is the only way to Heaven and the Father
(John 14:6) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
But Jesus also makes it clear in Revelation that He indeed is seeking people always
(Revelation 3:20) Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
The following verses in Romans 10 speak very clearly on what must be done to get salvation
(Romans 10:9) because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
(Romans 10:10) For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved
(Romans 10:11) For the Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame."
(Romans 10:12) For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.
(Romans 10:13) For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
I am sure you have now seen enough now to be ready to pray to be saved. I am now including a short prayer that you can say to ensure that you are saved and have eternal life when you die, going to heaven to be with Jesus forever and not end up going to hell.
Heavenly Father I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I confess to You that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. I confess and repent of all of my sins and unrighteousness. Right now I confess with my mouth Jesus as the Lord of my life and believe in my heart that You, God did indeed raise Him from the dead. I thank You for cleansing and forgiving me of all of my sins and unrighteousness and for saving me. I thank You for sending Your Son to die in my place for my sins, and for the inexpressible gift of eternal life that I now claim through the death of Jesus on the cross. Thank You, Lord, again for saving me. In the Name of Jesus I pray Amen.
