Jesus appearances study after the gospels

Here is a study of how Jesus was such a powerful  influence to the early forming church outside of the gospels. This study includes the ones in acts where He gives a final charge to the Apostles Paul’s conversion, His coming to Peter by visionand more, especially including John and the book of Revelation which prophesies many events of the future.

The first situation is Jesus addressing the apostles in Acts 1 including angels appearing to the disciples promising Jesus’ return

(Acts 1:1)  In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach,

(Acts 1:2)  until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.

(Acts 1:3)  He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.

(Acts 1:4)  And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, "you heard from me;

(Acts 1:5)  for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."

(Acts 1:6)  So when they had come together, they asked him, "Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?"

(Acts 1:7)  He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.

(Acts 1:8)  But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

(Acts 1:9)  And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.

(Acts 1:10)  And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes,

(Acts 1:11)  and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven."

Here is the conversion of Saul to Paul with Jesus coming directly to Paul as he was on the road to Damascus to persecute Christians there  and then all the events that happened afterward, as well

(Acts 9:1)  But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest

(Acts 9:2)  and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

(Acts 9:3)  Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.

(Acts 9:4)  And falling to the ground he heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?"

(Acts 9:5)  And he said, "Who are you, Lord?" And he said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.

(Acts 9:6)  But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do."

(Acts 9:7)  The men who were traveling with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one.

(Acts 9:8)  Saul rose from the ground, and although his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. So they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.

(Acts 9:9)  And for three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank.

(Acts 9:10)  Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, "Ananias." And he said, "Here I am, Lord."

(Acts 9:11)  And the Lord said to him, "Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying,

(Acts 9:12)  and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight."

(Acts 9:13)  But Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem.

(Acts 9:14)  And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name."

(Acts 9:15)  But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.

(Acts 9:16)  For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name."

(Acts 9:17)  So Ananias departed and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit."

(Acts 9:18)  And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he rose and was baptized;

(Acts 9:19)  and taking food, he was strengthened. For some days he was with the disciples at Damascus.

(Acts 9:20)  And immediately he proclaimed Jesus in the synagogues, saying, "He is the Son of God."

(Acts 9:21)  And all who heard him were amazed and said, "Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?"

(Acts 9:22)  But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus was the Christ.

The conversion was genuine and shows the power of God at its fullest to turn a complete enemy of the Christian church into one of its most powerful assets outside of Jesus Himself!

Here is the story of Peter and His vision with the Lord where the Lord shows Peter that he is not to call anything unclean and by this the gentiles are to be saved, too, and not just the Jews

(Acts 10:9)  The next day, as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the housetop about the sixth hour to pray.

(Acts 10:10)  And he became hungry and wanted something to eat, but while they were preparing it, he fell into a trance

(Acts 10:11)  and saw the heavens opened and something like a great sheet descending, being let down by its four corners upon the earth.

(Acts 10:12)  In it were all kinds of animals and reptiles and birds of the air.

(Acts 10:13)  And there came a voice to him: "Rise, Peter; kill and eat."

(Acts 10:14)  But Peter said, "By no means, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean."

(Acts 10:15)  And the voice came to him again a second time, "What God has made clean, do not call common."

(Acts 10:16)  This happened three times, and the thing was taken up at once to heaven.

(Acts 10:17)  Now while Peter was inwardly perplexed as to what the vision that he had seen might mean, behold, the men who were sent by Cornelius, having made inquiry for Simon's house, stood at the gate

(Acts 10:18)  and called out to ask whether Simon who was called Peter was lodging there.

(Acts 10:19)  And while Peter was pondering the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Behold, three men are looking for you.

(Acts 10:20)  Rise and go down and accompany them without hesitation, for I have sent them."

(Acts 10:21)  And Peter went down to the men and said, "I am the one you are looking for. What is the reason for your coming?"

(Acts 10:22)  And they said, "Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and God-fearing man, who is well spoken of by the whole Jewish nation, was directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and to hear what you have to say."

(Acts 10:23)  So he invited them in to be his guests. The next day he rose and went away with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa accompanied him.

(Acts 10:24)  And on the following day they entered Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends.

(Acts 10:25)  When Peter entered, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him.

(Acts 10:26)  But Peter lifted him up, saying, "Stand up; I too am a man."

(Acts 10:27)  And as he talked with him, he went in and found many persons gathered.

(Acts 10:28)  And he said to them, "You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean.

(Acts 10:29)  So when I was sent for, I came without objection. I ask then why you sent for me."

(Acts 10:30)  And Cornelius said, "Four days ago, about this hour, I was praying in my house at the ninth hour, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing

(Acts 10:31)  and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God.

(Acts 10:32)  Send therefore to Joppa and ask for Simon who is called Peter. He is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.'

(Acts 10:33)  So I sent for you at once, and you have been kind enough to come. Now therefore we are all here in the presence of God to hear all that you have been commanded by the Lord."

(Acts 10:34)  So Peter opened his mouth and said: "Truly I understand that God shows no partiality,

(Acts 10:35)  but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.

(Acts 10:36)  As for the word that he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all),

(Acts 10:37)  you yourselves know what happened throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John proclaimed:

(Acts 10:38)  how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

(Acts 10:39)  And we are witnesses of all that he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree,

(Acts 10:40)  but God raised him on the third day and made him to appear,

(Acts 10:41)  not to all the people but to us who had been chosen by God as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

(Acts 10:42)  And he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.

(Acts 10:43)  To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."

(Acts 10:44)  While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word.

(Acts 10:45)  And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles.

(Acts 10:46)  For they were hearing them speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter declared,

(Acts 10:47)  "Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?"

(Acts 10:48)  And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain for some days.

Then Peter in chapter 11 then had to deal with some questioning of this by the circumcision party but with the following explanation they too realized that the gospel and eternal life was intended for the gentiles and praised God

(Acts 11:1)  Now the apostles and the brothers who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

(Acts 11:2)  So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcision party criticized him, saying,

(Acts 11:3)  "You went to uncircumcised men and ate with them."

(Acts 11:4)  But Peter began and explained it to them in order:

(Acts 11:5)  "I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision, something like a great sheet descending, being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came down to me.

(Acts 11:6)  Looking at it closely, I observed animals and beasts of prey and reptiles and birds of the air.

(Acts 11:7)  And I heard a voice saying to me, 'Rise, Peter; kill and eat.'

(Acts 11:8)  But I said, 'By no means, Lord; for nothing common or unclean has ever entered my mouth.'

(Acts 11:9)  But the voice answered a second time from heaven, 'What God has made clean, do not call common.'

(Acts 11:10)  This happened three times, and all was drawn up again into heaven.

(Acts 11:11)  And behold, at that very moment three men arrived at the house in which we were, sent to me from Caesarea.

(Acts 11:12)  And the Spirit told me to go with them, making no distinction. These six brothers also accompanied me, and we entered the man's house.

(Acts 11:13)  And he told us how he had seen the angel stand in his house and say, 'Send to Joppa and bring Simon who is called Peter;

(Acts 11:14)  he will declare to you a message by which you will be saved, you and all your household.'

(Acts 11:15)  As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning.

(Acts 11:16)  And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, 'John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'

(Acts 11:17)  If then God gave the same gift to them as he gave to us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand in God's way?"

(Acts 11:18)  When they heard these things they fell silent. And they glorified God, saying, "Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life."

Here Jesus appeared to Paul by vision to encourage Paul to keep preaching in Corinth

(Acts 18:9)  And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, "Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent,

(Acts 18:10)  for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people."

(Acts 18:11)  And he stayed a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

In Acts 22, Paul is giving his conversion testimony to the Jews- worth again repeating and then Jesus appears to Paul by vision and says the Jews won’t listen to Paul and Jesus is sending Paul to the gentiles far away

(Acts 22:6)  "As I was on my way and drew near to Damascus, about noon a great light from heaven suddenly shone around me.

(Acts 22:7)  And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?'

(Acts 22:8)  And I answered, 'Who are you, Lord?' And he said to me, 'I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.'

(Acts 22:9)  Now those who were with me saw the light but did not understand the voice of the one who was speaking to me.

(Acts 22:10)  And I said, 'What shall I do, Lord?' And the Lord said to me, 'Rise, and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all that is appointed for you to do.'

(Acts 22:11)  And since I could not see because of the brightness of that light, I was led by the hand by those who were with me, and came into Damascus.

(Acts 22:12)  "And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there,

(Acts 22:13)  came to me, and standing by me said to me, 'Brother Saul, receive your sight.' And at that very hour I received my sight and saw him.

(Acts 22:14)  And he said, 'The God of our fathers appointed you to know his will, to see the Righteous One and to hear a voice from his mouth;

(Acts 22:15)  for you will be a witness for him to everyone of what you have seen and heard.

(Acts 22:16)  And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.'

(Acts 22:17)  "When I had returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, I fell into a trance

(Acts 22:18)  and saw him saying to me, 'Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about me.'

(Acts 22:19)  And I said, 'Lord, they themselves know that in one synagogue after another I imprisoned and beat those who believed in you.

(Acts 22:20)  And when the blood of Stephen your witness was being shed, I myself was standing by and approving and watching over the garments of those who killed him.'

(Acts 22:21)  And he said to me, 'Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles.'"

Then Jesus tells Paul that he must go to Rome

(Acts 23:11)  The following night the Lord stood by him and said, "Take courage, for as you have testified to the facts about me in Jerusalem, so you must testify also in Rome."

Then Paul in Acts 26 shares his conversion testimony with Agrippa

(Acts 26:12)  "In this connection I journeyed to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests.

(Acts 26:13)  At midday, O king, I saw on the way a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, that shone around me and those who journeyed with me.

(Acts 26:14)  And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.'

(Acts 26:15)  And I said, 'Who are you, Lord?' And the Lord said, 'I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.

(Acts 26:16)  But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you,

(Acts 26:17)  delivering you from your people and from the Gentiles--to whom I am sending you

(Acts 26:18)  to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'

(Acts 26:19)  "Therefore, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,

(Acts 26:20)  but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance.

(Acts 26:21)  For this reason the Jews seized me in the temple and tried to kill me.

In 2 Corinthians 12 Paul speaks of one who is taken to haven and then seeks the Lord to remove a thorn from His flesh but the Lord reminds Paul that His grace is sufficient

(2 Corinthians 12:2)  I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven--whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows.

(2 Corinthians 12:3)  And I know that this man was caught up into paradise--whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows--

(2 Corinthians 12:4)  and he heard things that cannot be told, which man may not utter.

(2 Corinthians 12:5)  On behalf of this man I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses.

(2 Corinthians 12:6)  Though if I should wish to boast, I would not be a fool, for I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain from it, so that no one may think more of me than he sees in me or hears from me.

(2 Corinthians 12:7)  So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited.

(2 Corinthians 12:8)  Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me.

(2 Corinthians12:9)  But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

(2 Corinthians 12:10)  For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Then there is the book of revelation, which also is really Jesus’ book entirely. However I am going to focus specifically on some passages where He makes the most impact. I am starting the first chapter where Jesus instructs John on the book

(Revelation 1:1)  The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,

(Revelation 1:2)  who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.

(Revelation 1:3)  Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.

(Revelation 1:4)  John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne,

(Revelation 1:5)  and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood

(Revelation 1:6)  and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

(Revelation 1:7)  Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.

(Revelation 1:8)  "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."

(Revelation 1:9)  I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

(Revelation 1:10)  I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet

(Revelation 1:11)  saying, "Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea."

(Revelation 1:12)  Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands,

(Revelation 1:13)  and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest.

(Revelation 1:14)  The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire,

(Revelation 1:15)  his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters.

(Revelation 1:16)  In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.

(Revelation 1:17)  When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, "Fear not, I am the first and the last,

(Revelation 1:18)  and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.

(Revelation 1:19)  Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this.

(Revelation 1:20)  As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

Then Jesus in Revelation chapters 2 and 3 dictates to John seven letters, one for each of the seven churches, which commend them on what they are doing right and chastise the churches on what they are not doing right, encouraging them to repent and turn away from those works, and also listing the consequences for not repenting, and making promises too. I am presenting them without comments between them.

(Revelation 2:1)  "To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: 'The words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks among the seven golden lampstands.

(Revelation 2:2)  "'I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false.

(Revelation 2:3)  I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name's sake, and you have not grown weary.

(Revelation 2:4)  But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.

(Revelation 2:5)  Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

(Revelation 2:6)  Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

(Revelation 2:7)  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.'

(Revelation 2:8)  "And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: 'The words of the first and the last, who died and came to life.

(Revelation 2:9)  "'I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

(Revelation 2:10)  Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.

(Revelation 2:11)  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers will not be hurt by the second death.'

(Revelation 2:12)  "And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: 'The words of him who has the sharp two-edged sword.

(Revelation 2:13)  "'I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not deny my faith even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

(Revelation 2:14)  But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality.

(Revelation 2:15)  So also you have some who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans.

(Revelation 2:16)  Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth.

(Revelation 2:17)  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone that no one knows except the one who receives it.'

(Revelation 2:18)  "And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: 'The words of the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bronze.

(Revelation 2:19)  "'I know your works, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your latter works exceed the first.

(Revelation 2:20)  But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols.

(Revelation 2:21)  I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality.

(Revelation 2:22)  Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works,

(Revelation 2:23)  and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works.

(Revelation 2:24)  But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not learned what some call the deep things of Satan, to you I say, I do not lay on you any other burden.

(Revelation 2:25)  Only hold fast what you have until I come.

(Revelation 2:26)  The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations,

(Revelation 2:27)  and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father.

(Revelation 2:28)  And I will give him the morning star.

(Revelation 2:29)  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'

(Revelation 3:1)  "And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: 'The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. "'I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

(Revelation 3:2)  Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God.

(Revelation 3:3)  Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you.

(Revelation 3:4)  Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments, and they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy.

(Revelation 3:5)  The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.

(Revelation 3:6)  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'

(Revelation 3:7)  "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: 'The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.

(Revelation 3:8)  "'I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

(Revelation 3:9)  Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie--behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet and they will learn that I have loved you.

(Revelation 3:10)  Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.

(Revelation 3:11)  I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.

(Revelation 3:12)  The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name.

(Revelation 3:13)  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'

(Revelation 3:14)  "And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: 'The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation.

(Revelation 3:15)  "'I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot!

(Revelation 3:16)  So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.

(Revelation 3:17)  For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.

(Revelation 3:18)  I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see.

(Revelation 3:19)  Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.

(Revelation 3:20)  Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

(Revelation 3:21)  The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

(Revelation 3:22)  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"

The next appearance after the rapture is where Jesus will lead His saints back down to earth to participate in the battle of Armageddon

(Revelation 19:11)  Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.

(Revelation 19:12)  His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself.

(Revelation 19:13)  He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.

(Revelation 19:14)  And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.

(Revelation 19:15)  From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.

(Revelation 19:16)  On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

(Revelation 19:17)  Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly directly overhead, "Come, gather for the great supper of God,

(Revelation 19:18)  to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great."

(Revelation 19:19)  And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army.

(Revelation 19:20)  And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

(Revelation 19:21)  And the rest were slain by the sword that came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh.

After that there is the Millenial kingdom and also the white throne of judgment in Revelation 20

(Revelation 20:1)  Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain.

(Revelation 20:2)  And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,

(Revelation 20:3)  and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.

(Revelation 20:4)  Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

(Revelation 20:5)  The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.

(Revelation 20:6)  Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.

(Revelation 20:7)  And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison

(Revelation 20:8)  and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.

(Revelation 20:9)  And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them,

(Revelation 20:10)  and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

(Revelation 20:11)  Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.

(Revelation 20:12)  And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.

(Revelation 20:13)  And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done.

(Revelation 20:14)  Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

Of course then Jesus will stay and then the New Jerusalem will come and we will stay with Him forever and ever. I am putting in these two chapters to encourage everyone

(Revelation 21:1)  Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.

(Revelation 21:2)  And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

(Revelation 21:3)  And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.

(Revelation 21:4)  He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

(Revelation 21:5)  And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."

(Revelation 21:6)  And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.

(Revelation 21:7)  The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

(Revelation 21:8)  But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."

(Revelation 21:9)  Then came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues and spoke to me, saying, "Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb."

(Revelation 21:10)  And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God,

(Revelation 21:11)  having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

(Revelation 21:12)  It had a great, high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were inscribed--

(Revelation 21:13)  on the east three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates.

(Revelation 21:14)  And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

(Revelation 21:15)  And the one who spoke with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and its gates and walls.

(Revelation 21:16)  The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its width. And he measured the city with his rod, 12,000 stadia. Its length and width and height are equal.

(Revelation 21:17)  He also measured its wall, 144 cubits by human measurement, which is also an angel's measurement.

(Revelation 21:18)  The wall was built of jasper, while the city was pure gold, clear as glass.

(Revelation 21:19)  The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel. The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald,

(Revelation 21:20)  the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.

(Revelation 21:21)  And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, transparent as glass.

(Revelation 21:22)  And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb.

(Revelation 21:23)  And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.

(Revelation 21:24)  By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it,

(Revelation 21:25)  and its gates will never be shut by day--and there will be no night there.

(Revelation 21:26)  They will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations.

(Revelation 21:27)  But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.

(Revelation 22:1)  Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

(Revelation 22:2)  through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

(Revelation 22:3)  No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him.

(Revelation 22:4)  They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

(Revelation 22:5)  And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

(Revelation 22:6)  And he said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place."

(Revelation 22:7)  "And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."

(Revelation 22:8)  I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me,

(Revelation 22:9)  but he said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."

(Revelation 22:10)  And he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.

(Revelation 22:11)  Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy."

(Revelation 22:12)  "Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done.

(Revelation 22:13)  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."

(Revelation 22:14)  Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.

(Revelation 22:15)  Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

(Revelation 22:16)  "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star."

(Revelation 22:17)  The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

(Revelation 22:18)  I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,

(Revelation 22:19)  and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

(Revelation 22:20)  He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

(Revelation 22:21)  The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.

Of course now the appearance that everyone most eagerly awaits is for Jesus to appear in the sky to rapture His bride home, something which I personally believe could be at any time at all. So I am going to conclude this by providing more information on the rapture in the following presentation

Rapture

I will conclude and wrap this study up by saying that the way people are now(not unlike the way they were at Noah’s time and also Sodom, things which Jesus prophesied about in scriptures in Matthew, Mark and Luke)and all the many other end times signs which are occurring currently(animals dying, food prices rising, wars, rumors of wars, crazy weather and so on) are birth pangs of the coming tribulation period and  sure signs the rapture is not far way, indeed, I still believe that the rapture could be any day at any time, of which the Heavenly Father only knows). So cheer up, your redemption is drawing closer and closer every day that passes. Also please remember that  Jesus loves you more than You know, and also by posting this about the rapture, too, which does duplicate some of the scriptures, but that is for emphasis for the rapture is too important and you absolutely DO NOT want to miss it:

THE RAPTURE IS IMMINENT!!! ARE YOU READY????

I am very strongly led to believe the rapture is very imminent, and could happen any day at anytime at all. Nobody knows the exact time for the rapture but the Father God Himself. I cannot strongly enough advise all of you to get your hearts right with Jesus by asking the Holy Spirit to reveal to you if there is any Sin /iniquity/ uncleanness in your heart, mind etc and repenting of any and all items brought to your mind right away, asking the Holy Spirit to cleanse you and your garments so that they are spotless, being washed by the blood of Jesus. I am a man, needing the blood of Jesus for cleansing as much as everyone else, and believe me I am doing the same thing. This repenting is a continuous process, not just a one time thing; I have found that I myself have been repenting several times throughout the day. I know that it will be God's grace and mercy ONLY that I make the rapture, not anything I do, I am well aware of the fact that grace alone being what saves, and not works lest any should boast, but also faith without works is dead so I am sharing this with everyone, in the hopes that a few, even just one person, would wake up in time, and repent, for the remaining time here is very short.

I post and share this document for I deeply care for people and DO NOT want anyone to miss the rapture and find themselves left behind to face the 7 year tribulations which will follow the rapture which will be pure a horrific time on earth, the most horrific ever, in fact, where you will have to hide in caves or in mountains, away from all the evil and very selfish people, be an absolute survival expert, which many are not and absolutely refuse at all costs to take the mark of the beast(666).As a result of your refusal to take this mark, you won’t be able to buy or sell anything, work, eat, live in a normal way, and so on, and most likely you’ll be killed for it, but that is far better than taking the mark and ending up in the lake of fire for eternity, as each and every man and woman  who take the mark of the beast will end up in the lake of fire, where there will be absolutely no rest from their torment night or day(Revelation 14).  Even doing all the precautions, hiding by getting away from all population centers and into the mountains, and so on may not be enough because many if not most people, in fact will not survive the judgments that God will pour out on the world in this time period, in the seal, trumpet and bowl judgments as well as the judgment and destruction of the daughter of Babylon. All these events are described in good detail in the book of Revelation in chapters 6 through 18, which I strongly advise all to read. Here is a link an excellent animated video of the entire book of revelation for you to watch

The tribulation period of seven years absolutely will make today's evil world seem like life in paradise by comparison. I very strongly suggest reading the book of Revelation chapters 6 through 18 which tell you specifically what sort of events and judgments the world will see during this tribulation period.

Here are some rapture related scriptures:

(1 Corinthians 15:51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

(1 Corinthians 15:52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

(1Thessolonians 4:16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

(1Thessolonians 4:17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

God wants to keep us from this tribulation by His love and mercy Because thou has kept the word of my patience, I ALSO WILL KEEP THEE FROM THE HOUR OF TEMPTATION, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."  The implication of this verse is obvious:  If the end-time Christian does NOT stay close to the Lord and endure to the end, HE WILL NOT BE KEPT FROM THE TRIBULATION HOUR Revelation 3 verse 10, so it is IMPERATIVE to stay close to the Lord in these last days.

Now I have a very special warning message to all those who are lukewarm Christians to repent of this condition and to be on fire for Jesus or Jesus will surely spit you out of the rapture(see verse 16, below) and you will go through the seven year tribulation as it says in Revelation 3 14-22. There are FAR TOO MANY are in this condition the Holy Spirit warned me this AM. There are FAR TOO MANY LAODICEANS today. Please REPENT NOW of your lukewarmness and be on fire for the Lord before it is too late and you miss the rapture as a result of your being lukewarm!! Here are the verses in Revelation chapter 3 concerning the Laodicean church:

(Revelation 3:14) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

(Revelation 3:15) I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

(Revelation 3:16) So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

(Revelation 3:17) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

(Revelation 3:18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

(Revelation 3:19) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

(Revelation 3:20) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

(Revelation 3:21) To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

(Revelation 3:22) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Summarizing, you MUST all be ready for this coming rapture, AND be on FIRE for Jesus, and not be at all lukewarm but loving Jesus with ALL Your heart, mind and soul as commanded in the bible, in several places in both the old and new testaments. If in case you need to receive the Lord please pray the following prayer (backsliders can also use this prayer to repent of their sin and lukewarmness and recommit their lives, and return to their first love, Jesus. Please do so NOW before it is too late)

Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess Jesus as our Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we will be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself. Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.

Amen.

Here are 10 steps that can be of help to be ready for the soon to come rapture:

1. Make sure that you have received Jesus Christ into your life as your PERSONAL Lord and Savior(see the salvation prayer above and use it if need be).

2. Examine your own heart for any signs of backsliding, worldliness, unwatchfulness, compromising, and lukewarmness.

3. REPENT (Turn COMPLETELY away from sin and turn COMPLETELY around towards Jesus).  Sin separates you from God, even as a Christian.

4. Study end-time Biblical prophecy(Daniel 7-12, Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 17, 21, 1 Corinthians 15, 1 Thessalonians 4 and 5, other places but the  book of Revelation in particular)  until you become completely convinced that His Coming is, indeed, AT THE DOOR.  This will help keep you from temptation and sin.  JESUS IS COMING VERY SOON!!! Lord help me be absolutely convinced YOU ARE at the door!!!!!

5. Do something for the Lord.  (Passing out tracts would be a good start.)

6. Examine your priorities, lest the CARES OF THIS LIFE cause YOU to MISS THE RAPTURE, as we are so adamantly WARNED about in Luke 21, and so many other Scriptures.

7. Draw closer to God by praying, reading His Word, attending a fundamental church as often as possible, and surround yourself with a Christian atmosphere (Christian friends, books, music, radio, TV, etc.)

8. PRAY DILIGENTLY.  ASK THE LORD TO REVEAL TO YOU ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE THAT EVEN MIGHT KEEP YOU FROM THE RAPTURE.  PRAY THAT THE LORD WOULD GIVE YOU A PEACE, IF YOU ARE READY, AND AN UNREST AND UNEASINESS IN YOUR HEART, IF YOU ARE NOT READY.

9. Listen for His voice and then STAY OPEN TO THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

10. Act upon that which the Lord is calling you to do. DO IT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

Please also pray and ask the Lord Jesus to see if you are indeed ready and to give you peace if you and If the Lord has planted even the least bit of doubt or uneasiness in your heart, will you swallow your pride and pray this prayer with me:

"Dear Lord, Thank you for preparing a WAY OF ESCAPE from the horrible Tribulation to come.  It is my sincere desire to be ready for your Soon Return, so that I can participate in the Rapture. Give me a COMPLETE PEACE IN MY HEART FROM YOU if I am, indeed, ready. Let there be no false sense of security in my heart concerning my readiness for Your Return.  Begin to reveal to me things in my life and in my heart that might keep me from the Rapture.  Show me what I need to do to BE READY and then give me the power to act upon that which you show me to do.  Draw me away from the world and closer to you every day.  Use me in whatever way you can to help others

who may not be ready for your Return.  Fill me with your peace when I am ready and fill me with YOUR POWER, for victory over sin and temptation, and for effective service for your kingdom.  In Jesus' mighty name, Amen

If, by an unfortunate chance, you are finding yourself reading this testimony after the rapture has happened, and you find that you have missed it, everything is not lost by any means, just please pray immediately to accept the Lord Jesus as savior and /or recommit your life to Him, repenting of anything  and everything that you have done that has caused you to miss the rapture, especially such things as being lukewarm and whatever else you may do during that time absolutely DO NOT TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST OR YOU WILL SPEND ETERNITY IN THE LAKE OF FIRE!!!!!(taking the mark of the beast means you are essentially married to Satan, the antichrist, the beast and false prophet,  ALL OF WHOM ARE DESTINED FOR THE LAKE OF FIRE, AS ARE ALL WHO TAKE THEIR MARK ON THEIR FOREHEAD OR HAND). IT IS NOT AT ALL FORGIVABLE TO TAKE THIS MARK- so again you must avoid taking this mark AT ALL COSTS you won’t be able to buy, sell, work, and so on, you will have to hide, living in the forest and away from civilization, face jail, torture, and be executed for refusing the mark. If you do die for refusing to take the mark of the beast, if you are Jesus’ you will go to heaven immediately as a tribulation saint and martyr spoken of in the book of revelation. I cannot strongly stress the point enough to NEVER, EVER accept the mark of the beast, no matter what!!!! It will be well worth it to lose everything and everyone in this world, including your life so as  to not have to spend all eternity in hell and the lake of fire, where again there will be never any rest on your torment day or night.
