Worship song bible study
Here are some excellent worship and praise passages to God in the scriptures, many of which are not Psalms, which of course are the best of the bunch of them. The first one I am using in this study is the one in Exodus 15, where the children of Israel are celebrating after they were delivered from Egypt across the suddenly dry Red Sea, and also the Pharaoh and his army’s sudden destruction when the Red Sea came back to its place after God moved it out of the way to enable the Israelites to cross on dry land in the middle of the sea:
(Exodus 15:1) Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the LORD, saying, "I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.

(Exodus 15:10) You blew with your wind; the sea covered them; they sank like lead in the mighty waters.
(Exodus 15:11) "Who is like you, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?

(Exodus 15:15) Now are the chiefs of Edom dismayed; trembling seizes the leaders of Moab; all the inhabitants of Canaan have melted away.
(Exodus 15:16) Terror and dread fall upon them; because of the greatness of your arm, they are still as a stone, till your people, O LORD, pass by, till the people pass by whom you have purchased.
(Exodus 15:17) You will bring them in and plant them on your own mountain, the place, O LORD, which you have made for your abode, the sanctuary, O Lord, which your hands have established.
(Exodus 15:18) The LORD will reign forever and ever."

(Habakkuk 3:1) A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, according to Shigionoth.

(Habakkuk 3:5) Before him went pestilence, and plague followed at his heels.

(Habakkuk 3:7) I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction; the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.

(Habakkuk 3:10) The mountains saw you and writhed; the raging waters swept on; the deep gave forth its voice; it lifted its hands on high.
(Habakkuk 3:11) The sun and moon stood still in their place at the light of your arrows as they sped, at the flash of your glittering spear.
(Habakkuk 3:12) You marched through the earth in fury; you threshed the nations in anger.
(Habakkuk 3:13) You went out for the salvation of your people, for the salvation of your anointed. You crushed the head of the house of the wicked, laying him bare from thigh to neck. Selah
(Habakkuk 3:14) You pierced with his own arrows the heads of his warriors, who came like a whirlwind to scatter me, rejoicing as if to devour the poor in secret.
(Habakkuk 3:15) You trampled the sea with your horses, the surging of mighty waters.
(Habakkuk 3:16) I hear, and my body trembles; my lips quiver at the sound; rottenness enters into my bones; my legs tremble beneath me. Yet I will quietly wait for the day of trouble to come upon people who invade us.
(Habakkuk 3:17) Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls,

Here is Mary’s song of praise and thanksgiving to God after Elizabeth, John the Baptist’s mother, filled with the Holy Spirit exclaimed how blessed she is due to who was in her womb(namely, Jesus)
(Luke 1:46) And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord,
(Luke 1:47) and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
(Luke 1:48) for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
(Luke 1:49) for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
(Luke 1:50) And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.
(Luke 1:51) He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts;
(Luke 1:52) he has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate;
(Luke 1:53) he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty.
(Luke 1:54) He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy,
(Luke 1:55) as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his offspring forever."
Here are some verses of worship in Revelation in various chapters. The first one is when Jesus is about to open the seals of the scroll that nobody else could open or even look on the scene
(Revelation 5:8) And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
(Revelation 5:9) And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,
(Revelation 5:10) and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth."
(Revelation 5:11) Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands,
(Revelation 5:12) saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!"
(Revelation 5:13) And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!"
(Revelation 5:14) And the four living creatures said, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped.
These verses of praise come in chapter 11 when the seventh and final trumpet sounded:
(Revelation 11:15) Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever."
(Revelation 11:16) And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God,
(Revelation 11:17) saying, "We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was, for you have taken your great power and begun to reign.
(Rev elation11:18) The nations raged, but your wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear your name, both small and great, and for destroying the destroyers of the earth."
These two verses occur in Chapter 15 just before the bowls of God’s wrath are about to be poured out on the earth:
(Revelation 15:3) And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations!
(Revelation 15:4) Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed."
These verses in chapter 19 occur just before the marriage supper of the lamb and even speak of it
(Revelation 19:1) After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,
(Revelation 19:2) for his judgments are true and just; for he has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality, and has avenged on her the blood of his servants."
(Revelation 19:3) Once more they cried out, "Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up forever and ever."
(Revelation 19:4) And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, "Amen. Hallelujah!"
(Revelation 19:5) And from the throne came a voice saying, "Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, small and great."
(Revelation 19:6) Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.
(Revelation 19:7) Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready;

These are the songs and such to worship a God who deserves all the worship and praise for like Psalm 136 states, His steadfast love does indeed endure forever. He does love so much. He sent His Son Jesus to die for all of our sins, on the cross, wanting to restore a relationship broken by sin. It is easy to establish or to come back to any relationship. I am concluding this with a prayer which anyone can pray to restore any lost relationship or to start a new relationship with Jesus who longs for this. Please pray this with me.
Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself. Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.
Amen.
God bless you and yours
