Six types of people teaching
Six types of people in today’s society
Here is a teaching and listing of the different types of people in today’s society, and really in any society for there always have been all six types of people. This discussion covers six different kinds of people. I do this because want people to be informed but also want to see people come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus and not end up dying and going to hell without a savior who loves them so much more than any person can.
Type 1- Completely Reprobate person. This person is totally hardened and completely against the things of God, hating them and also hating and sometimes strongly persecuting those who are sent to them by God still out of mercy and love. God does not want people to go to hell. These are the times that there will be more of this type of people than before as stated in 1 Timothy 4
(1 Timothy 4 4:1) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
(1 Timothy 4 4:2) Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
(1 Timothy 4 4:3) Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
(1 Timothy 4 4:4) For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
These verses in Romans chapter 1 speak very well of this type of person, too, giving a perfect description of what they are like, the lives they are living and what God is doing because of the choices they have made in their lives.
(Romans 1:26) For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
(Romans 1:27) And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
(Romans 1:28) And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
(Romans 1:29) Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
(Romans 1:30) Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
(Romans 1:31) Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
(Romans 1:32) Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
And one could, I feel even end up this way after falling away from the faith, totally hardened and often end up that way because of offenses against them. As stated in these two verses in Hebrews the best way to end up that way is to end up sinning willfully after being saved. This is not just ONE deliberate sin but a pattern of MANY unrepentant and voluntary evil, sinful actions, that again I feel bitterness and unforgiveness can be a cause.
(Hebrews 10:26) For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
(Hebrews 10:27) But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Type 2. Hardened people. These are not as bad but these people are difficult to win and also sometimes persecute the people trying to win them to the Lord. These people still have not completely seared their consciences completely hard against God and his matters so yes keep praying for this type if you have any such people in your family for they can sometimes be won to the kingdom of God. Nothing is ever too hard for God, either; He can save almost anyone except perhaps those who are totally reprobate. I may have been in this category for a time after saying a salvation prayer in 1997 but not really meaning it, I was especially there and hard in the 2000’s up till I truly accepted Jesus in 2007, saying that I was NOT a religious person at that time or into religion and not wanting to hear witnessing about Jesus at that time and such even at times blocking (on America Online etc) some who got aggressive stating I would go to hell without Jesus (which is the truth, the unsaved go to hell and quite likely I would have too). I prayed a prayer of salvation in 1997 but it never took root in me and I consider it now a false conversion. I was then deceived by Satan then into thinking Jesus and Christianity was religion of which then I wanted no part of when He is after a RELATIONSHIP only. Thankfully since then God has opened my eyes to the truth bit and bit so now I know more of the truth of how I felt back in those days in the 2000s when I did not want to hear about Jesus and was hard and deceived. I feel the same is also true about many other hardened people that they are also deceived so don’t give up praying and witnessing to them for you are planting seeds in their life and you never know, God might use you to bring them to Christ or to really commit recommit their lives to Christ as is what happened to me(when I said the prayer in 1997 I never committed my life to Christ in my heart at all as both my parents were alive then and I may have feared persecution and such by then and other reasons, such as a wrongful motive to say the prayer)
Type 3 the regular unsaved people. These live their lives but often without peace and with a hole and an empty feeling that they do not understand. I was with this group for most of my life myself, having grown up with secular parents, going to secular school, and so on. I tried to collect magazines and such to fill this hole but found that NOTHING could fill it at all, and I still felt this emptiness no matter what. Only after I got saved I found there really is ONLY one thing capable of filling the hole: Jesus. After being saved I have felt a peace and a love that only comes with a relationship with Him, something I was lacking beforehand and was too blind to see, again as stated not wanting to hear witnessing. I am thankful people did persevere and that I was reached for the kingdom of God. I am including a salvation tract below for you to be saved and share this. I also encourage people to persevere witnessing with this type for you are planting seeds again and you just don’t know if God might just use your efforts to win these people to His cause, for God can do all things.
Type 4. backslidden and lukewarm Christians. These people did find the faith initially but the cares of the world and often offenses from other people, some of which could have been quite grievous as well as lies from Satan have all conspired together to cause them to fall away, a process which largely happens gradually and not all at once. However God is patient and loving, sending others to them to correct and witness to them, hoping that they would see the light, turn from their wrong ways, and repent and return to Him and His love and away from the world and Satan and would take any of these folks back at the drop of a hat, after all that is why Jesus spoke these parables in Luke 15, stating these can be brought back and are welcome to repent and return to the faith at anytime, for God’s mercy and love are ever sure, and after all Jesus did come to this earth to destroy the works of the devil:
First up is the parable of the lost sheep which shows how much God will pursue the lost and even backslidden and how heaven rejoices greatly when one sinner comes to salvation by repenting and believing in Jesus
(Luke 15:1) Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.
(Luke 15:2) And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
(Luke 15:3) And he spake this parable unto them, saying,
(Luke 15:4) What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
(Luke 15:5) And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
(Luke 15:6) And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
(Luke 15:7) I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
Second is the parable of the lost coin where a woman searches diligently until she finds it and like the one with the lost sheep rejoices. Heaven also likewise rejoices over a repentant sinner who accepts Jesus
(Luke 15:8) Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
(Luke 15:9) And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
(Luke 15:10) Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Lastly is the famous parable of the prodigal son which I personally believe not only refers to new converts but can refer to backslidden people who return to the Lord who would welcome them back like the father welcomes his son back. It is a powerful message which is illustrative of God’s tender mercy for all of us.
(Luke 15:11) And he said, A certain man had two sons:
(Luke 15:12) And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
(Luke 15:13) And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
(Luke 15:14) And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
(Luke 15:15) And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
(Luke 15:16) And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
(Luke 15:17) And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
(Luke 15:18) I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
(Luke 15:19) And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
(Luke 15:20) And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
(Luke 15:21) And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
(Luke 15:22) But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
(Luke 15:23) And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
(Luke 15:24) For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
(Luke 15:25) Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
(Luke 15:26) And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
(Luke 15:27) And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
(Luke 15:28) And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
(Luke 15:29) And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
(Luke 15:30) But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
(Luke 15:31) And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
(Luke 15:32) It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
Type 5 Immature and baby Christians of which are many today, what with all of the evil influences in the world, such as the media, education and many more. I encourage you folks to pray and read God’s word each and every day, going to a strong fundamentalist bible believing and teaching church as much as possible to help you grow in the Faith more, fellowship with other belivers and more to get more mature in your walk with Christ. This is a relationship and God longs to hear from you in dialog. Often these people are carnal and need help with many things so please seek it at church, do bible studies and more as the spirit leads
(Heb 5:13) For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
(Heb 5:14) But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
These two verses in 2 Timothy 4 warn of places because there are all too many people who like to heap bad and false teaching to themselves these days.
(2 Timothy 4:3) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
(2 Timothy 4:4) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
These five verses in Hebrews chapter 10 explain why we should be assembling together in churches and also in private bible studies to exhort and help each other as the day draws near as it is.
(Hebrews 10:21) And having an high priest over the house of God;
(Hebrews 10:22) Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
(Hebrews 10:23) Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
(Hebrews 10:24) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
I also include these last four verses in 2 Timothy 3 to encourage more bible study and challenge both types five and six of people to continue to grow in their faith
(2 Timothy 3:14) But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
(2 Timothy 3:15) And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
(2 Timothy 3:16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
(2 Timothy 3:17) That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Type 6 Mature Christians. These people are indeed mature in their faiths as the above verse in Hebrews chapter 5(verse 14) states and they do exercise their faith and continue to grow by staying in the word a lot. I encourage them to continue to spend a lot of time in the word and praying and reaching out to help all the other types, witnessing to the first four and teaching type 5. I also urge the type 5, the immature Christian, to prayerfully seek these people in type six out, finding a bible study and or a good fundamentalist church to help them grow in the faith and become more and more mature. This is where I want to be, and want to see people be there, dead to their flesh and sowing to the Spirit.
I am now including a salvation tract to help you turn to Christ which is such a big passion with me
The first verse of this states that none are righteous, not one and all have turned back on their own
(Romans 3:10) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
(Romans 3:11) There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
(Romans 3:12) They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
All have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory in fact but redemption is in Christ
(Romans 3:23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
(Romans 3:24) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
These two verses in 1 Corinthians 15 remind us that Jesus did die for our sins and rose again
(1 Corinthians 15:3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
(1 Corinthians 15:4) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
The wages of sin are death but God’s gift of eternal life is through Jesus
(Romans 6:23) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God’s love for us is such that Jesus died for us while we were sinners
(Romans 5:8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
In Hebrews it is pointed out that Jesus has appointed to put away sin and it is for man to die once and be judged but people can look to Him for salvation
(Hebrews 9:26) For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
(Hebrews 9:27) And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
(Hebrews 9:28) So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Here again in 2 Corinthians chapter 5 this message of all being dead but Jesus died for all and rose so we might live for Him
(2 Corinthians 5:14) For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
(2 Corinthians 5:15) And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
Here is the way to be saved- confess Jesus as Lord by your mouth and believe God raised Him from the dead which is explained in these two verses
(Romans 10:9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
(Romans 10:10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Paul reminds us all who call on Jesus (the Name of the Lord) will be saved.
(Romans 10:13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
(Romans 10:11) For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
(Romans 10:12) For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
God did not appoint us to wrath but unto salvation to live together with Him so I leave you with these words in 1 Thessalonians 5 to comfort you
(1 Thessalonians 5:9) For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
(1 Thessalonians 5:10) Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
(1 Thessalonians 5:11) Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
God sent Jesus to die to restore the relationship with man which was severed by sin. There is nothing that can compare or come remotely close to a relationship with God. I am now including a prayer which you can say to invite Jesus in your heart and begin this incomparable relationship with God. Please pray this prayer with me
Heavenly Father I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I confess to You that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. I confess and repent of all of my sins and unrighteousness. Right now I confess with my mouth Jesus as the Lord of my life and believe in my heart that You, God did indeed raise Him from the dead. I thank You for cleansing and forgiving me of all of my sins and unrighteousness and for saving me. I thank You for sending Your Son to die in my place for my sins, and for the inexpressible gift of eternal life that I now claim through the death of Jesus on the cross. Thank You, Lord, again for saving me. In the Name of Jesus I pray Amen
God bless you and yours
