leprosy bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-18

Leprosy bible study including its cleansing

Leprosy is a nasty condition which according to the law of Moses caused people to be unclean and separate themselves from people, and even God used it to punish people in certain instances- three of them in the bible (Miriam, Naaman, and Uzziah) , and yet many other people were delivered and miraculously healed and cleansed of their leprosy, first Naaman through Elisha, and on more than one occasion(possibly many occasions) by Jesus in the gospels , who even wants us to cleanse the lepers because He gave us authority over the disease. I am going to explore what the bible says on this topic.

First up are Leviticus chapters 13 and 14 which cover the disease of leprosy and its implications for the sufferer, and what the sufferer can and cannot do when they have it, what the priest is to do to diagnose and to check for the leprosy’s...

For God so loved the world Salvation tract

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-18

For God so loved the world salvation tract

This salvation tract features first the famous John 3 verses originally spoken to Nicodemous about why He was sent for God did love the world that much to send His only Son to give us eternal life

(John 3:16)  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

(John 3:17)  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

(John 3:18)  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Romans chapter 3 also is very clear that we need to be saved from our own sins that we have committed and this is why God sent His son to die on the cross for all makind

(Romans...

Jesus the propitiation for sins salvation tract

I am giving the tracts that will indeed show that Jesus was indeed the propitiation for sins, sent by God because of His love to a lost world

Romans chapter 3 also is very clear that we need to be saved from our own sins that we have committed and this is why God sent His son to die on the cross for all makind

(Romans 3:23)  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

(Romans 3:24)  and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

(Romans 3:24)  and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

(Romans 3:25)  whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins

(Romans 3:26)  It was to...

Justified by faith salvation tract

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-19

Justified by faith and not by works salvation tract and teaching

Here I want to do a tract which stresses how man is justified by faith in the Lord Jesus and not by anything that we do. This part is driven home forcefully in the verses in Romans chapter 3, which also say that all are sinners who have fallen short of God’s glory

(Romans 3:20)  For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.

(Romans 3:21)  But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it--

(Romabs 3:22)  the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction:

(Romans 3:23)  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

(Romans 3:24)  and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the...

Romans six salvation teaching and tract

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-19

Salvation tract and teaching featuring verses from Romans 6

Here is a tract and teaching which features verses from Romans chapter six to remind people that He died for our sins and as He was raised from the dead so will it be with us.

I am starting with three verses from Romans 3 though which remind us that all have fallen short of God’s glory

(Romans 3:23)  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

(Romans 3:24)  and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

(Romans 3:25)  whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

Now, since this is a teaching as well, I will include the whole chapter six of Romans because of its powerful messages of our own death to sin and our being raised again,...

Salvation teaching tract featuring Romans chapter 3

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-19

Salvation teaching and tract featuring Romans chapter 3

Here is a salvation tract and teaching featuring the verses in Romans chapter 3, specifically verses 9 to 31 the end of the chapter. They drive home forcefully that everyone has sinned and sin problems but God acted mercifully by sending Jesus to be the propitiation of all of our sins, and in so doing grant us eternal life. This is spoken of very powerfully here in these verses, some of which contrast the unsaved versus the saved.

(Romans 3:9)  What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin,

(Romans 3:10)  as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one;

(Romans 3:11)  no one understands; no one seeks for God.

(Romans 3:12)  All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one."

Jesus has mercy bible study and teaching

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-19

Rapture

I will conclude and wrap this teaching up by saying that the way people are now(not too unlike the way they were at Noah’s time and also the time Sodom, which are things which Jesus prophesied about in scriptures in Matthew, Mark and Luke)and all the many other end times signs which are occurring currently(animals dying, food prices rising, wars, rumors of wars, crazy weather and so on) are birth pangs of the coming tribulation period and  sure signs the rapture is not far way, indeed, I still believe that the rapture could be any day at any time, of which the Heavenly Father only knows). So cheer up, your redemption is drawing closer and closer every day that passes. Also please remember that Jesus loves you more than You can possibly know, and also by posting this about the rapture, too, which does duplicate some of the scriptures, but that is for emphasis for the rapture is too important and you absolutely DO NOT want to miss it:

Salvation teaching tract featuring Romans chapter 10

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-20

Salvation teaching and tract featuring Romans chapter 10

Here is another teaching and tract featuring Romans chapter 10 in spots but also other scriptures in other books.

I start off this teaching with the first 8 verses of this chapter of the book of Romans which express my own personal desire as well as Paul’s for people to be saved, encouraging intercessory prayer for the unsaved people in that aspect too, that they indeed get saved and reminding them that the word of the Lord is indeed near them

(Romans 10:1)  Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.

(Romans 10:2)  For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

(Romans 10:3)  For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness.

(Romans 10:4)  For Christ is the...
