Eight chapter gospel of John salvation teaching

By James J Dougherty, 2014-02-01

Eight chapter Gospel of John Salvation study

Here is a salvation study based on eight chapters in the gospel of John which contain powerful salvation related messages which Jesus spoke, and this includes the passion of Christ as related in the gospel of John as well as the activities He did as listed there in that gospel. These chapters show just how far God went when He sent Jesus to live on the earth and then die for our sins atoning for them and enabling relationship to be resumed. Jesus took the wrath from God that rightly belonged on mankind for their sins as the perfect sacrifice.

I am starting this study off with John chapter 3, which is the powerful dialog between Jesus and Nicodemus where Jesus relates how we MUST be born again- of the spirit and of the blood- in order to see and enter into the kingdom of God, as that which is born of the flesh is flesh and of the spirit, spirit. Jesus then reminds us...

bible study John and Acts

Bible study: John 17- Acts 5 Prayer and passion of Christ and church beginnings

Here is a somewhat salvation related bible study dealing with the end of Jesus’ ministry where He prays for His disciples and then the passion of Christ where He gives His life for all mankind and turning away God’s rightful wrath from mankind because of their sins, taking God’s just punishment for their sins on Himself as only He could do. I am also including the first five chapters of Acts which show the beginning of the church including the miracles and also some of the trials and persecution that they faced.
I am starting this teaching with John chapter 17 where Jesus then powerfully prays to His and our Father for the sake of His disciples and for them too (and us nowadays as well), asking the Father to help them and keep them from the evil one and many other things. It is a powerful prayer passage, arguable the most powerful prayer in the entire bible

(John 17:1) These words...

Eight chapter Luke and Acts bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2014-02-02

Eight chapter Luke and Acts bible study

Here is a bible study of eight chapters containing the last three chapters of Luke which contain the passion of Christ and the first five of Acts which contains the early part of the church history from the fall of the Holy Spirit through the miracles, persecution and trials and even the Ananias affair. This is meant to show how Jesus loves us and wants us to come to Him for He gives us power to do miracles as many were done then in the earliest days of the church. God wants us for relationship purposes and that is why Jesus did die- taking His anger away and enabling Him to love us. He took God’s anger away from us (and we sure deserved it and He bore all the punishment for our sins. The two books, Luke and Acts were written by the same author and were even said to be combined as one book Luke-Acts before separated as they are now.

First in this study is the passion of Christ as it appears in...

Seven chapter Matthew bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2014-02-04

                                    Seven chapter Matthew bible study

Here is a bible study of seven chapters including the sermon on the mount, chapters 5 and seven, 13, which has a lot of excellent parables, and 26-28 which has the passion of Christ which shows what He did for each and every one of us, atoning for our sins and taking the wrath of God on Himself as He loved the world enough and enabled relationship with God and man to be restored as sin as atoned for.

In Matthew chapters 5 through 7 which is the sermon of the mount, which is the most powerful sermon ever gives so much good advice of what to do and do not, to trust God for everything, and teaches how to pray, fast, give, act and so many other things. I am just going to present all three chapters together without comment in between so as not to interrupt the flow of this wonderful sermon which nobody can match

And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when...

Eight chapter salvation bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2014-02-04

Eight chapter salvation related bible study

Here is a study of eight different chapters of the gospels which related a salvation message. It starts with the parables of Matthew 13, then moves on to a teaching relating forgiveness in Matthew 18, then goes on to show the value God and heaven place on repentance in Luke chapter 15, goes on to give salvation messages contained in John chapters 3 and 10 and then concludes with a presentation of the passion in the gospel of Mark. All these chapters show the love of God and Jesus with His teachings and the passion where Jesus took the anger of God which was rightly directed at a very sinful man on Himself and the resulting punishment for a man to find forgiveness for his sins and a relationship with God, which is priceless.

I am continuing this bible study  with Matthew chapter 13 which is a whole large collection of parables concerning salvation and the value of the...

Passion of Christ Mark and early church bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2014-02-08

Passion of Christ early church bible study

Here is a teaching bible study combining the passion of Christ as in Mark- the last three chapters with the first five chapters of Acts which relate the birth and growth of the early Christian church. This shows what Jesus did for mankind to redeem sin, shows the one version of the great commission and also the first five chapters of Acts shows how it would be then carried out along with all of the signs and wonders but also persecution too of the church. It shows rapid growth too for it, for God is so powerful. At the end there will be a salvation prayer so you can also invite Jesus in your heart for this wonderful relationship.

Starting off this bible study with the three chapters in Mark, 14,15 and 16, which relate the passion of Christ, Mark chapter 14 tells of the last supper, Jesus betrayal and arrest, Peters denials of Jesus which are foretold, and also the...
