Jeff Schmidt Band

About a year and a half ago we lost our drummer John Hayes. (July 2022) He is on the recording of Walk With Jesus Boogie along with his wife Dianna Hayes singing backup. Dennis Reeves is singing lead and the author of the song. We have finally got together and into the Schmidt Art Productions studio to get back to work again!

Astonished Doctrine EP Raw Cuts is out and is being well received. Getting about 1,000 streams in the first two weeks. That's the best we've seen on a release. It is an incomplete work designed to demonstrate what we've been up to and a glimpse into our up coming album Astonished Doctrine.

We are a Rock band who loves Jesus. And we love the classic rock style incorporated into our music. Which makes us The Best Classic Rock Style Christian Rock Band in the world. Well, it sounds fancy. Other band members include Julie Rivera guitar & vocals, Amanda Skousen on drums, and Jodi Crowley on vocals, keys, & bass. Jodi wrote the song Heartbeat which is a 50's style tune with lyrics from the perspective of Mary the Mother of Jesus. And in this song she does know. And that is why I believe this to be more realistic in this perspective. Better have tissues ready. 

In 2015 Jeff Schmidt became Jeff Schmidt Band to become distinguished among the other Jeff Schmidt musical artists. There are 5 Jeff Schmidt musical artists. All are good. We're simply the best.

Jeff Schmidt started writing sheet music at the age of 9 for multiple instruments. "I started playing around on my dad's ukulele at age 4 or 5. When I was 6 I got kicked out of the YMCA piano class in Torrance, California. I started playing clarinet at school when I was 8. Ah! Age 11! I was taught drums in school because I wasn't that good on clarinet. Also the year of my first guitar. $5.00 for my friend's sister's classical guitar. Got an electric guitar and started a band at the age of 13. Writing & performing ever since annoying audiences until I started sounding halfway decent." - Jeff Schmidt

Effect This was published in 2009 and distributed by CD Baby. "It was an experiment because I was curious to see what would happen. I was having my hobby business publishing my music on indie artist websites and such." Jeff went on to make more albums and created two more artist Steptoe Valley Orchestra & Jeff Schmidt's Gringo Del Grande & The Space Mexicans.

We have a mission to tell the world about Jesus through our music. For the ones we can't reach in person or those we can. If you have a relationship with Jesus or not we will show  the world how to know God and serve Him. For salvation, encouragement, dancing before the Lord, praise & worship. It is always a blessing when some one tells us how one of our songs was just what God had ordered and blessed them in some way. Or comes on at the right time for God to meet someone with what they need. It is God's band. He can use it how He wants.
