Reflecting Christ's Glory No Matter What You Look Like

In the late 30's there was a race horse I'm sure you have all heard of,his name was Seabiscuit .Seabiscuit had been written off as a loser. He came from nowhere to capture the hearts of America. In the fall of 1938,40million fans (1out of 3 Americans)gathered around the radio and listened to the long-awaited match up between the underdog,Seabiscuit , and the Triple Crown winner,War Admiral.Seabiscuit won by 4 lengths.
Seabiscuit didn't look like a champion. From birth, his trainers considered him to small and nothing like his thoroughbred descendants. So he wasn't given much of a chance to show his true potential. He lost his first 17 starts and was eventually trained to lose in order to bolster the confidence of other horses.
But that all changed when a new owner and trainer saw in him what no one else did. They saw his heart and gave him a second chance.Seabiscuit didn't look the part, but you can't see a horse's heart by looking at its outer appearance.
The same is true for us. The world may judge us by how we look, but God values what is in our heart. In 1 Samuel 17:7 it says:" But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." I've seen so many calling themselves Christians that look at people and judge by someones appearance and i have to admit I've done it myself years ago,but God has shown me through the hearts of many of my big ,bearded, tattooed brothers in Christ that the heart is what God wants and uses.God has blessed me with so many friends that don't look the part but love the Lord with all their hearts. There is no certain way to dress or look that makes you any more a Christian than another.God sees what no one else does. The church better wake up.Have you judged from the outer appearance? I challenge you to stop that and look at the heart.
Inside the heart of every Christian is an unveiling glory that is meant to be discovered and revealed. The Bible says    that all Christians "reflect the Lord's glory.....with ever-increasing glory" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Friends, find the glory of Christ in your heart and put it on display!!!No matter what you look like, you can be a  winner for Him.
I Love you my friends,Your brother ,Jerry
