Each new day to wake

In wonder as the sun rises

From darkness. Joy is in

My heart at the brightness

Of the sky.

I am amazed to still be

Part of the universe

Lord and to see your

Glorious creation from

So to rise in expectation

Of what the day holds is

A delight and hope your

Works to accomplish

I will try.

When all is complete then

To contemplate on the day

Once I was oblivious to
